Abstract

 Handle kopling merupakan komponen yang terdapat pada sepeda motor manual, yang digunakan sebagai tempat penghubung mesin dengan transmisi. Handle kopling sendiri harus juga didesain dengan seringan mungkin, kuat dan juga memiliki nilai ergonomic bagi penggunanya. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk memodifikasi desain handle kopling dengan menggunakan metode Optimasi topology. Optimasi topology merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk mengoptimalisasi bentuk dari komponen yang akan dibuat yang berupa pertimbangan batasan dari disain, kondisi pembebanan tertentu dll secara matematis. Hasil dari optimasi handle kopling ini mampu mengurangi masa sebanyak 67,12% dengan hasil akhir safety factor sebesar 1,9568.

Abstract

Pendidikan Vokasi atau Pendidikan Kejuruan bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan peserta didiknya untuk siap memasuki dunia kerja/industri. Salah satu sarana efektif untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut yaitu dengan pengembangan Unit Produksi pada institusi pendidikan. Bengkel Prototipe Honda PT. Otomotif  FT UNY merupakan salah satu bentuk Unit Produksi yang terus bertahan dan eksis selama 20 tahun. Selama 20 tahun, Bengkel Prototipe Honda PT. Otomotif FT UNY telah meluluskan 48 mahasiswa yang pernah mengambil bagian untuk mengelola operasional bengkel. Lebih dari 90% alumni PT. Otomotif FT UNY yang ikut ambil bagian dalam pengelolaan bengkel mampu meraih kesuksesan di dunia kerja/Industri. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan Bengkel Prototipe Honda PT. Otomotif FT UNY khususnya dalam manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia. Fokus pembahasan yaitu pada perencanaan, proses rekruitmen, pengorganisasian, peningkatan kualitas, dan pengawasan serta pemberian kompensasi/penghargaan bagi pengelola  (Bengkel Prototipe Honda PT. Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah kendaraan bermoror menyebabkan mobilitas masyarakaidalam melabanakan pembangunan semakin lancar. Namun penumbuhan jilmlahkendaraan bemotor yang tinggi apabila tidak diikuli dengan peningkatan saranapenunjangnya yailu luas jalan dan menejemen pengaturan yang baikakan mcnyebabbnkemacetan yang pada gilirannya akan meningkatnya pencemaran (polusi) udara olehgas buang.Aktivilas transwnasi I kendaraan bermotor, industri, power phnl, rumahtangga maupun perkantoran menghasilkan polutan yang menyebabkan polusi udara. Diantara sumber palutan yang lainnya kendaraan bermotor mempakan rumber palutanterbesar, pada kata besar 98% polutan udara berasal dari kendaraan bermotor. Gasbuang kdaraan bemalor nlenGndung polutan CO, HC, Ox dan Pb.Dampak polulan CO menyebabkan meningkatnya COHb darah yangmengakibatkan kurangnya oksigen pada darah, sehingga dapat menimbulkan kematian.Polutan HC menyebabkan irilasi pada mukosa sehingga mala pedih, lemas, pusingbahkan kemalian bila konsentrasinya mencapai 20.000 ppm, dan pada tumbuhan dapalmenghambal penumbuhan, wama daun dan kemalian bagian bunga. Polutan NOx yangberbahava adalah NO dan NOZ pada manusia palutan ini dapat menyebabkangangguai pernapasan sampai kemilian, sedangkan pada tnmbulh menyebabkankerusakan pada daun. Sedangkan polutan Pb aka" mencemari tanaman, bila hasilnyadikonsumsi manusia aka" menyebakan keracunan Pb, pada lahap lanjut keracunan inimenyebabkan kankerotak dan Lkit kcpala akut.Upaya mengendalikan dan mengalasi dampak gas buang kendaraan bemolormenjadi tanggung jawab benama, khususnya pemakai, pemerintah dan para ahliotomolif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dapat bempa pendekalan teknis, planotologi,adminislrasi, hukum dan edukatif.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to identify and analyse the competencies required by the graduates of the Department of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) in the workforce in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (2) to develop the curriculum design that meets the needs of the workforce and the Indonesian National Qualification Framework, and (3) to develop the curriculum and the distribution of each competency in each course held at the Department. This study consists of the following stages: the evaluation of the existing curriculum through literature studies and workshops as well as the development of a new curriculum design. The workshop was conducted by presenting two practitioners from industry and 5 education practitioners and lecturers from the Department of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, YSU. The results of the study were (1) the identification and the analysis results of the required competencies (2) the draft of the curriculum, and (3) the curriculum networking and the distribution of each competency in each course.

Abstract

Instructional media is an important component in online learning. This study aims to: 1) find out what types of learning media that motivate students to learn; 2) knowing the benefits of various types of learning media used by students on online learning. This study used ex post facto method. The questionnaire was used to gain the data from bachelor student. The instrument explores information about various forms of online learning media, namely text, audio, graphic, animation, and video. The terms of the benefits of media including able to stimulate students' curiosity, motivate student, make easier for students understanding, encourage students learning happily, and giving student’s flexibility in choosing learning resources. The results showed that: The better online learning media for motivating student were animation and video with a very high category of motivation achievement. While other types of learning media are in the high category. Judging from the benefits of various types of media, video and animation media are the most useful for students in online learning. The media got very high category on stimulating students' curiosity, motivating student`s learning, making it easier for students to understand, encouraging students learning happily, as well as giving students flexibility in choosing learning resources. Meanwhile, other types of learning media are in the high category. Even on text media, getting a low category on encouraging students learning happily. Therefore, teachers not only use PowerPoint media, but also need to consider other types of learning media for teaching students in online learning.

Abstract

This paper discusses the development of simulators as instructional media for learning Electronic Spark Advance System in vehicle technology and its advisability. Simulators were developed to assist students in learning the skills and practical knowledge of the electronic ignition system in vehicle engine. The simulator was developed by applying 10 development stages. Development stages included: analyzing the problems, needs analysis, product design, design implementation, expert assessment, limited testing (small classes), product revisions, large usage / class testing, product revisions, and get suitable product. The development result was a replica of ESA system separated from vehicle system. The ignition system components were arranged on the acrylic board, so it can be used by the students safely and easily for: (1) identifying components, (2) inspect components, (3) inspect ignition circuit, (4) conducting ignition system adjusting, and (5)simulating ignition system.  Based on the material and learning media aspects with the results of limited trials as well as usage trials show that the developed ESA's electronic ignition system simulator was suitable to use, so it can help students to learn and practice skills related to maintenance jobs and repair ESA's electronic ignition system more easily.

Abstract

Concrete beams that receive a positive bending force, at the top will experience a compressive force while at the bottom receive a tensile force. The theory that reinforced concrete is a structural system where the steel or reinforcement in the concrete functions to withstand tension, then the concrete below the neutral line does not receive a compressive force but transmits a tensile force to the reinforcement. This study analyzes and reduces the area in the tensile area by continuously installing 2 inch diameter PVC pipes and adding fiber to the concrete. This reduction in area is expected to reduce weight and material savings without reducing its strength. This research was carried out with a sample of 28 days old concrete blocks with quality f'c = 21.04 MPa with dimensions of 12 cm x 18 cm x 250 cm, with 4Ø10 mm reinforcement with quality fy = 450 MPa. Concrete beams are made in 3 variations in the form of solid beams, hollow beams without fiber, hollow beams with fiber. Each variation has 2 samples. From the test results, all beams experienced flexural cracks which were characterized by cracks perpendicular to the beam axis and flexural strength behavior which the difference was not significant. From the three variations of this beam, it shows that the results of the hollow beam with the addition of fiber have a greater first crack load. The addition of fiber is able to slow down the cracks that occur and contribute to withstand tensile stresses so that the beam still has strength to bear the load even though cracks have occurred. Based on the calculation simulation, in order to equalize the strength of the hollow beam with fiber, the dimensions of the solid beam need to be enlarged so that the solid beam becomes more expensive. This shows that hollow beams with fiber are more economical than solid beams.

Abstract

This study implemented the Problem Based Learning learning model to increase the students’ activeness and learning outcomes in the conventional fuel system competency in class XI TKRA SMK Nasional Berbah. A Classroom Action Research (PTK) with Kurt Lewin's model was conducted, and the data were collected using observation, tests, and documentation. The indicator of the success of this study is if more than 75% of students are active and 75% of students reach the minimum score criteria (75). The participants of this study were 32 students of class XI. The results showed that the application of PBL able to increase the students’ activeness and learning outcomes on the competence to understand the conventional gasoline fuel system. This can be seen from: (1) an increase in positive activities (activities that support the implementation of the teaching and learning process) and a decrease in negative activities (activities that interfere with the implementation of the teaching and learning process) in each cycle. Positive activity in cycle I was 51% and cycle II was 76%; (2) there is an increase in the class average and students' learning completeness. The class average in cycle I was 71 and cycle II was 78. Meanwhile, students' learning completeness in cycle I was 43.75%, cycle II was 84.37%.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) know competence test results of competency test participants in the Indonesian Automotive Profession Certification Body from Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) in 2017 if reviewed from the certification scheme and (2) to know the distribution of competency unit of competency test participants causing competency test participants to be declared not yet competent in LSP Otomotif Indonesia from DIY in 2017 This research is a descriptive research. The subject in this research is 198 competency test participants. Technique of collecting data is documentation. This research uses quantitative analysis technique. The result of the research shows that: (1) the competency test results of competency test participants from the Special Region of Yogyakarta in Indonesian Automotive Profession Certification Body in 2017 if reviewed based on scheme 01 (Service Maintenance 5000 KM Motorcycles) is 70% (70) participants are declared competent and 30% (30) participants are deemed incompetent (including high category). Furthermore, in scheme 02 (Service and Maintenance 10,000 Km of Conventional Light Vehicles) 75% (15) are competent and 25% (5) declared incompetent (including category and in scheme 03 (Service and Maintenance of 10,000 Km Light Vehicle Injection System) of 61.54% (48) participants are declared competent and 38.46% (30) declared not yet competent (including very low category), (2) the distribution of competency units shows that in scheme 01, competency unit that most competent participant is OTO.SM02.001.01 (Maintaining Engine with its Components) that is equal to 73.33%, in the scheme of 02 competency units that most participants are not competent are OTO.KR02.014.01 (Maintenance / Service of Gasoline Fuel System) and OTO.KR05.011.01 (Fixing Ignition System) that is equal to 100% , whereas in the scheme of 03 competency unit that most participants are not competent is OTO.KR05.012.01 (Maintaining / Servicing and Improving Engine Management system) that is equal to 76.67%.

Abstract

Salah satu aspek yang perlu di perhatikan dalam merancang kendaraan ialah rangka, rangka merupakan bagian dari kendaraan yang memiliki fungsi sebagai fondasi yang menopang atau menyangga komponen kendaraan mulai dari mesin, drive train, suspensi, sistem kemudi, serta kelistrikan. Selain untuk menopang komponen kendaraan, rangka juga berfungsi sebagai salah satu faktor keselamatan pengemudi saat terjadi benturan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deformasi dan stress pada model sederhana dari rangka monocoque yang mengalami beberapa kondisi tubrukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah simulasi explicit dynamics analysis untuk menguji beban impact pada peyederhanaan struktur model rangka kendaraan jenis monocoque, dan melakukan simulasi Frontal crash 90 degree barrier, Frontal crash with offset, Pole offset crash, dan 90 degree side crash. Hasil dari penelitian di dapat bahwa pengujian car crash Totaldeformation dan Stress pada peyederhanaan struktur model rangka kendaraan jenis monocoque, Frontal crash berdampak lebih besar dari pada Side crash, dilihat dari hasil nilai total deformation dan stress yang lebih besar dari pada Side crash yaitu pada frontal crash memiliki Total deformation maksimal sebesar 129,92 mm dengan stress maksimal 642,92 Mpa sedangkan side crash memiliki Total deformation sebesar 44,2 mm dengan stress maksimal 473,5 Mpa.
