Abstract

Background: The incidence of stroke is still high and contributes to high mortality and disability rates. Stroke attacks cause malfunctions such as paralysis and difficulty communicating so that patients will experience anxiety, fear, sadness and even despair in the face of the disease they are suffering from. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of providing Islamic spiritual guidance on the anxiety level of CVA (Cerebro Vascular Accident) patients. Methods: This research was conducted in the Inpatient Room at RSU Muhammadiyah Bandung Tulungagung using a quasi experimental design with a one group pre post test design approach, 122 respondents were taken using purposive sampling technique. The independent variable is the provision of Islamic spiritual guidance and the dependent variable is the level of anxiety using a questionnaire and Wilcoxon test analysis. Results: The results of the Wilcoxon test analysis value negative ranks N: 91, Mean: 49.23, Sum of ranks: 4480.00, so it can be concluded that there is a decrease in the value of the anxiety level before to after Islamic spiritual guidance. Abstract

Temper tantrums are a common behavioral challenge during early childhood development. Managing this behavior is important to support children’s emotional and social development. One approach that has been explored to address this issue is the use of cooperative games, which emphasize collaboration and shared goals among children. This study examined the effect of cooperative games and art therapy on temper tantrum reactions in preschool-aged children at Ulul Albab Kindergarten, Jombang. Through a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design, Data were collected from 78 children as a population. The sampling technique used Stratified Random sampling obtained 69 research samples by applying the proportional strata formula. The research instrument used the Temper Tantrum Rating Scale. The research sample was divided into 3 groups, namely the cooperative game play intervention group, the art therapy intervention group and the control group with 23 students as respondents in each group. After the cooperative game intervention was carried out for three weeks, statistical analysis with a paired t-test proved the effect of cooperative game therapy with a significant value (p = 0.000) and art therapy with a significant value (p = 0.001) while the Welch's ANOVA test showed a poshoc value (p = 0.032) Cooperative game play intervention was more effective than art therapy. These findings suggest that cooperative games are effective in reducing temper tantrum reactions. Therefore, nurses should introduce and recommend this approach to parents as a useful strategy for managing temper tantrum behavior.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease with a very significant increase in prevalence resulting in high morbidity and mortality. In diabetes, uncontrolled blood sugar levels are the main factor that worsens the disease. Therefore, controlling blood glucose levels in patients is important. High blood sugar levels are caused by many factors, ranging from behavioral factors such as sleep patterns, level of knowledge, and medication adherence, which are also suspected to play a role in glycemic control. This study aims to analyze the effect of sleep patterns, level of knowledge, and medication adherence on blood glucose levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus at RSUD Kota Madiun. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach involving 130 respondents selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and random blood glucose test results, and analyzed using the Chi-Square test and ordinal logistic regression. The results showed a significant effect between sleep patterns (p=0.000), level of knowledge (p=0.004), and medication adherence (p=0.000) on blood glucose levels. Multivariate analysis showed that sleep patterns were the most dominant variable (p=0.011), followed by medication adherence (p=0.034), while level of knowledge was not significant after being controlled together with other variables. The Nagelkerke R-Square value of 0.978 indicates that 97.8% of the variation in blood glucose levels can be explained by these three variables. It is concluded that sleep patterns and medication adherence have a significant effect on blood glucose levels, with sleep patterns as the most dominant factor.

Abstract

Indonesia occupies the second highest case burden in the world, so it faces a major challenge in reducing the death rate due to Tuberculosis (TB). This research aims to synthesize strategic barriers and map the most feasible innovations to accelerate the TB elimination target by 2030. This study used Systematic Review. This study used a Systematic Review. The search strategy was developed using Boolean operators with structured keywords, resulting in 185 articles spanning the period 2017-2026. These articles were re-identified using inclusion and exclusion criteria until 15 primary articles were obtained. Analyzed using the Thematic Analysis technique The analysis showed four main obstacles: catastrophic non-medical costs that trigger drug discontinuation, social stigma that hinders early detection, fragmentation of surveillance data, and uneven access to diagnostics. However, digital innovations such as AI and telemedicine offer new efficiencies in outbreak prediction and compliance monitoring. TB elimination requires a paradigm shift towards a holistic approach that integrates patient economic protection, national data synchronization, and adoption of Society 5.0 technology to permanently break the chain of transmission.

Abstract

Background: The elderly are a vulnerable group to dental health problems due to physiological changes, poor toothbrushing habits, and limited access to dental health services. These conditions pose a serious challenge in maintaining their quality of life. Teledentistry has emerged as an innovative solution to provide remote dental health counseling and education. This study aimed to analyze the effect of teledentistry counseling on improving dental health knowledge and toothbrushing habits among the elderly in Benda District, Tangerang City. Methods: This study employed a quantitative design with a quasi-experimental two-group pretest–posttest approach. The sample consisted of 100 elderly participants divided into an intervention group (teledentistry counseling) and a control group (leaflet). Data were collected using a structured questionnaire assessing dental health knowledge and toothbrushing habits. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, normality testing, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, paired t-test, and independent t-test. Results: The results showed a significant increase in dental health knowledge and toothbrushing habits among the elderly after receiving teledentistry counseling (p < 0.05). The average post-test score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, which received only leaflets without interactive counseling. Conclusion: Teledentistry-based counseling was proven effective in improving dental health knowledge and toothbrushing habits among the elderly. This strategy can serve as a practical solution to enhance the quality of dental health services, particularly in areas with limited access to health facilities.
