Abstract

This article discusses increasing the capacity of teachers' human resources (HR) through training in using the Bamboozle and Quizziz digital platforms in interactive learning. The main problem faced is the lack of teacher skills in using educational technology, which has an impact on the level of student participation in the learning process which is still low. The aim of this research is to improve teachers' skills in utilizing digital platforms to create more dynamic and participatory learning. The method used is intensive training involving theory sessions and direct practice for teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. The results of the training showed a significant increase in teacher skills, which had a positive impact on student engagement during the teaching and learning process. The conclusion of this article is that integrating technology such as Bamboozle and Quizziz can be an effective solution to face the challenges of the digital era, including creating an interactive and more interesting learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract: The hydroponic system is a strategic solution in developing urban agriculture in urban areas. This activity aims to improve the welfare of creative economy partners through Smart hydroponic technology, namely solar power plants (PLTS) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The hard skills obtained by partners include the ability to analyze energy needs, install and maintain small-scale solar power plants (PLTS), integrate solar power systems with IoT-based hydroponics, and regular maintenance to maintain the efficiency and sustainability of modern agriculture. The stage method consists of pre-activity, implementation, and evaluation. Saintis Farm partners are a hydroponic farmer group of 10 people with 4 hydroponic installations that rely on conventional electricity. This condition causes relatively high production costs with limited cultivation (800 planting holes) and a harvest period of 40–50 days. Evaluation of the efficiency of electricity use was carried out by comparing conventional electricity consumption before and after the implementation of the PLTS system. The implementation of technology has an impact on increasing production and reducing electricity use efficiency by 28%. This activity also improves partner management by diversifying hydroponic crops into pak choy, mint leaves, and celery.

Abstract

Abstract: Helminthiasis remains a public health problem that is often neglected yet has a significant impact, especially among young children. This community service activity aimed to determine the effectiveness of education conducted by the service team in improving the knowledge of Posyandu (community health post) groups regarding the prevention of helminthiasis and the use of papaya (Carica papaya) leaves as a natural anthelmintic. The method used was counseling with a participatory educational approach, carried out in two main sessions involving 15 members of Posyandu Melati. Evaluation was conducted through pretests and posttests using 15 multiple-choice questions. The indicator of success for this community service activity was measured by the increase in posttest scores. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, particularly regarding the content of papaya leaves, which rose from 56.33% to 100%. Educational activities through interactive games, group discussions, and practical demonstrations proved effective in delivering material and improving community health literacy.

Abstract

This research evaluates the energy performance of a 24-hour cafe in a tropical context using the EDGE decision-support platform. Cafe Oregano in Palangka Raya, Indonesia, was selected as a case study due to its continuous operation, refrigeration systems, and kitchen appliances, which generate persistent internal loads that challenge conventional assumptions about commercial building energy use. The EDGE baseline simulation produced a very high Energy Performance Index (EPI) of 778.53 kWh/m²/year, corresponding to a 32.50% relative performance, indicating a mismatch between standardised IFC assumptions and actual cafe operational behaviour. After parameter refinement and validation using monthly electricity bills, performance improved to 674.55 kWh/m²/year (+13.36%), reducing annual electricity consumption from 420,858 to 275,215 kWh. Sensitivity analysis showed that HVAC efficiency and zoning delivered the greatest performance gains, followed by envelope and lighting improvements, while refrigeration loads remained structurally dominant. To evaluate real-world feasibility, a selective retrofit scenario based on local Indonesian market costs was developed. The resulting package—roof and partial wall insulation, LED retrofitting, high-efficiency 1 HP HVAC replacement, and basic zoning controls—requires an estimated capital investment of IDR 310–320 million and achieves a simple payback of 1.5–2 years. Overall, the findings confirm that while EDGE effectively identifies relative performance trends, achieving meaningful energy efficiency in cafe typologies requires calibrated scenarios, realistic operational assumptions, and economically grounded interventions.
