Abstract

The application of business ethics and sharia principles is becoming increasingly crucial in international trade, especially for exports and imports in developing countries such as Indonesia. Engagement in global trade offers both opportunities and challenges in adopting sharia ethics and principles. This research uses a qualitative approach by relying on secondary data from official reports, academic studies, and media publications. The data was analyzed content-wise to identify patterns and key themes regarding the role of business ethics and sharia principles in international trade. The implementation of business ethics and sharia principles enhances trust, transparency, competitiveness and business sustainability. Enabling factors include supportive policies, corporate commitment and sharia compliance. The integration of business ethics and sharia principles provides significant benefits to Indonesia's economic growth, with policy recommendations to increase education and awareness about the importance of ethics and sharia in international business. Abstract

The article discusses the role and strategies of the Central Bank and the Government in maintaining financial system stability, which is crucial for the effective functioning of market economies. A stable financial system is essential for rational decision-making regarding resource allocation and enhancing the investment climate. Historical experiences, particularly Indonesia's financial crisis in 1998 and the global financial crisis in 2008, highlight the high costs associated with financial instability and the importance of implementing both microprudential and macroprudential policies to prevent such crises. The Central Bank of Indonesia (Bank Indonesia) plays a vital role in this regard by regulating monetary policy, overseeing financial institutions, and ensuring a robust payment system. It employs various indicators to measure financial stability, including capital adequacy ratios and economic growth metrics. The article emphasizes that stability in the financial system not only fosters investor confidence but also supports efficient financial intermediation, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the financial performance of sharia commercial banks (BUS) after the COVID-19 pandemic through the CAR, NPF, FDR and BOPO variables on the ROA of BUS registered with the OJK 2019-2024. The method used is quantitative with a research sample of 6 BUS determined through a purposive sampling technique. The secondary data analyzed was obtained through the official OJK website. The data is then analyzed through descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The empirical findings show that all CAR, FDR and BOPO variables partially have no influence on ROA from BUS, except that NPF is proven to partially have a positive influence on ROA. Simultaneously, all independent variables have an influence on ROA of BUS.

Abstract

Exports of mining products generate substantial state revenue through export duties and taxes. This income can be used to finance national development in various fields such as infrastructure, education and health. Apart from that, mining products contribute to strengthening Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves, which in turn helps maintain macroeconomic stability. This research was conducted to analyze factors that could influence the growth of exports of Indonesian mining products. The dependent variable used in this research is the value of mining exports and the dependent variables are the dollar exchange rate, inflation rate and interest rates. The research was conducted in Indonesia with data taken for the period from 2010 to 2023. The data sources used were secondary data obtained from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics and Bank Indonesia. Data analysis uses the help of e-views software by carrying out multiple regression analysis tests. The results of this research prove that inflation and interest rate variables influence exports of Indonesian mining products. The exchange rate has no effect on exports of mining products in Indonesia.

Abstract

SRI and Sharia stocks in Indonesia are part of the green assets that have outperformed other stocks. However, they are also volatile and vulnerable to shocks. This study examines the asymmetric effects of macroeconomic uncertainty-specifically domestic interest rates, global uncertainty, and domestic exchange rates-together with environmental degradation factors on the SRI and Sharia stock markets in Indonesia. The findings show that exchange rate asymmetry significantly impacts the SRI and Shariah stock markets, as evidenced by the sizable coefficients. In the SRI stock market, positive exchange rate shocks are found to have a negative impact in both the short and long run. In contrast, in the Islamic stock market, the effect of positive exchange rate shocks is only seen in the short run. This evidence suggests that an increase in positive exchange rate shocks will lead to a decline in both the SRI and Islamic stock markets. When the domestic exchange rate appreciates, Indonesian exports become more expensive in the international market, thus reducing the competitiveness of firms in export-dependent markets, which then affects their stock prices. Moreover, in the long run, negative shocks related to global uncertainty negatively impact the Islamic stock market. This finding indicates that when the global economic environment deteriorates and overseas investments are perceived as risky, domestic investors-especially those who are risk averse-tend to shift their investments to domestic Islamic assets, which they perceive as more reliable.

When viewed from the short run and long run, the Minimum Wage variable has an insignificant effect on Household Consumption in the short term but has a significant effect on Household Consumption in the long term. Inflation variable has a significant effect on Household Consumption in the short run, while in the long run Inflation variable has an insignificant effect on Household Consumption. The loan interest rate variable has no significant effect on household consumption in the short term or in the long term.
