Abstract

Efforts to strengthen collaboration between financial institutions and universities are a key step in empowering a sustainable economy. This service activity aims to increase cooperation between financial institutions and universities, with a focus on sustainable economic empowerment. The service method is carried out through holding international seminars in a hybrid manner, both face-to-face at the Library Building on the 4th floor of IAIN Kediri and via the Zoom platform. The results of this service include strengthening cooperation between the two entities, broadening students' insight into sustainable financial practices, and contributing to sustainable economic development on campus and in the surrounding community.

Abstract

This service aims to provide personal support for writing quality scientific articles to lecturers and students at the Kediri State Islamic Institute (IAIN) in the fields of economics and business. The service method is carried out through a series of mentoring activities, which include individual consultation sessions, personal guidance, and direct feedback. The results show an increase in scientific article writing skills, an understanding of the publication process, and increased motivation to contribute to academic literature. The aim of the service is to improve the quality of academic publications at IAIN Kediri, strengthen the research capacity of lecturers and students, and increase contributions to the development of economics and business, especially in the Islamic context.

Abstract

The aim of this service is to increase the understanding and skills of the community, especially small and medium enterprises (UKM), in using the e-SPT application to report their tax obligations. The service method used is the presentation method, where sharia accounting students from IAIN Kediri present material systematically through PowerPoint slides and live demonstrations. The results of the service showed the participants' active participation in practical and discussion sessions, which deepened their understanding of the use of e-SPT. Post-activity evaluation showed a high level of satisfaction from participants with the material and method of delivering the training. This activity succeeded in providing real benefits by increasing tax compliance and the use of tax technology among the community, as well as strengthening students' commitment to making positive contributions to society through the dedication of their knowledge and skills.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the awareness of students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, IAIN Kediri, regarding the role of zakat in realizing social justice and sustainable economic growth. This national seminar was held on September 18, 2024, in the 4th Floor Hall of the IAIN Kediri Library, with a service learning approach. Through this method, participants not only receive theoretical material but are also encouraged to apply this understanding in real life. This activity includes the delivery of material from experts in zakat and Islamic economics, interactive discussions, and simulations of the application of productive zakat in the context of the local economy. It is hoped that this seminar can equip students with deeper knowledge and awareness of zakat as a strategic economic instrument that has the potential to encourage social justice and community welfare in a sustainable manner. This activity also aims to prepare students to contribute to realizing Indonesia Emas 2045 through the application of zakat values.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology presents opportunities as well as challenges for online business people, especially in maintaining business ethics according to Islamic principles. The seminar activities held at IAIN Kediri aim to strengthen understanding of Islamic economic ethics for students and online business people in facing digital disruption. The community service method used is service learning, which involves interactive learning through theory, practice and reflection. This seminar includes an explanation of the basic concepts of Islamic business ethics, group discussions to explore the application of sharia principles in online business, as well as a simulation of ethical business management. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding regarding the importance of integrity, honesty and responsibility in running an online business. In addition, this activity encourages participants to integrate Islamic values in their digital marketing strategy, creating a balance between profit and blessing. This activity makes a real contribution in empowering online business people to face the challenges of the digital era ethically and professionally.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase public awareness and understanding of the importance of productive waqf management in supporting orphan education. Based on existing data, orphan education in Indonesia still faces major challenges in terms of funding, so economic empowerment efforts are needed through productive waqf. This activity was carried out through seminars and training based on service learning and ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development), which involved speakers from waqf experts and sharia financial practitioners. Participants consisted of academics, waqf managers, and community leaders. The activity began with a socialization of the concept of productive waqf, followed by a simulation of waqf asset management planning. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participant understanding, with 85% of participants claiming to be able to design a productive waqf management model for orphan education. This activity successfully introduced waqf-based solutions as an economic empowerment instrument to support orphan education in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

MSMEs in the Mualaf Baduy Village, Lembah Barokah, Ciboleger, have great potential in producing brown sugar, but still face challenges in terms of branding and marketing. One of the main obstacles is the packaging that is not attractive and not environmentally friendly, so it is less competitive in the wider market. This community service activity aims to provide training in packaging innovation using dried banana leaves as an environmentally friendly alternative to increase product appeal and strengthen MSME branding. The implementation method includes socialization of the importance of packaging, practice of making packaging based on dried banana leaves, and digital-based marketing assistance. The results of the activity showed an increase in partners' understanding of the importance of packaging in branding, as well as success in implementing new packaging that is more attractive and has high selling value. With this innovation, the brown sugar products of the Mualaf Baduy Village MSMEs are expected to be more competitive in the local and national markets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of religious principles, local culture, and productive zakat programs on the economic well-being of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jombang. The research method entails an examination of religious principles, local culture, and field case studies. According to the findings of the study, the incorporation of religious principles offers a strong ethical foundation for MSMEs in Jombang, resulting in honest, fair, and responsible business operations. LSPT Jombang's productive zakat program, particularly the Dhuafa Mandiri program, offers mustahik with business financing and training, enhancing their economic independence. Local culture inspires MSME products, resulting in a strong local character. According to the findings of this study, the integration of religious principles, local culture, and productive zakat programs has a considerable positive impact on the economic well-being of MSMEs in Jombang. It is envisaged that by continuing to strengthen this integration and overcoming the problems that arise, MSMEs in this region will be able to thrive and make significant contributions to the local economy and community.

Abstract

Garbage has become a problem for today's society, not only in urbanareas, in rural areas also experiencing the same thing with regard towaste. In order to solve these problems, community participation isneeded to solve the waste problem. This study focuses on themanagement of waste banks by the Kediri Bunch Youth Association(Permata). This study uses a qualitative descriptive to describe theproblems related to the theme, where the author tries to describe thesocial role of waste bank management carried out by the youth of thevillage of Tandan. As a field research, this research shows that socially,this waste management activity has been successful, while in theeconomic sector, although it is less significant in providing income for thecommunity, it has succeeded in increasing village income which is thenused to buy seeds and distributed to the people of the Tandan hamlet.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the marketing strategy implemented by BPRS Lantabur Tebuireng Gresik Branch to increase the competitive advantage of Tadhabbur savings products by considering the approaches of Hermawan Kartajaya and Muhammad Syakir Sula. The research method used involved interviews with BPRS marketing managers, direct on-site observation, and literature studies to understand relevant marketing principles. Research found that BPRS Lantabur Tebuireng was successful in implementing a holistic marketing strategy. They offer products that suit customer needs, set competitive prices, carry out promotions through sharia financial education, provide responsive service, utilize technology, and implement social engagement programs. The success of this strategy is supported by high service quality, synergy with local communities, a focus on ethical values, and a humanist approach to marketing. These findings indicate that this approach can be used as an effective model for other Islamic financial institutions to increase the competitive advantage of their products. Thus, implementing a marketing strategy that is holistic and based on sharia values and community welfare can be the basis for strengthening the market position of sharia financial institutions in the banking industry.
