Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the implementation of Human Resource Management (HRM) operational functions while formulating adaptive teacher capacity development strategies toward creating a competitive advantage in Islamic educational institutions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through a literature review approach (library research). The results indicate that human resources in the Islamic educational ecosystem represent a totality of intrinsic modalities that harmonize physical and spiritual dimensions. The actualization of this latent potential is managed through a mechanistic cycle of seven HRM operational functions, including moral-academic-based staffing, development, fair and decent compensation, maintenance, participative integration, discipline modeled after uswah hasanah, and ethical separation. Furthermore, to confront global disruptions, human resource governance is reconstructed into three pillars of competitive advantage strategy: strengthening integrated spiritual-digital-professional competencies, engineering a quality-oriented organizational culture, and internalizing Islamic work ethics based on prophetic traits (shiddiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah). This synergy transforms the teaching profession from mere mechanical task executors into a form of worship and high-performing intellectual jihad.

Abstract

The dynamics of modernization compel madrasahs and pesantren to revitalize their Human Resource (HR) management orientation to maintain institutional competitiveness without uprooting their religious traditions. Historically, previous studies on HR within Islamic educational institutions have predominantly emphasized conventional personnel administration and singular charismatic leadership. This tendency leaves a significant literature gap (research gap) regarding how these institutions strategically adapt to contemporary talent management demands in the Society 5.0 era. Responding to this void, the novelty of this study lies in constructing a theoretical framework that integrates Islamic work ethics with modern Agile Human Resources instruments. Employing a qualitative methodology through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and critical analysis of educational policies over the past decade, this study dissects this paradigm shift. The findings indicate that the current trajectory of HR development necessitates a transition from traditional devotion-based models toward strengthening hybrid competencies, encompassing digital literacy, transformative leadership, and structured performance appraisal systems. This transformation critically depends on the leadership's capability to formulate an inclusive succession scheme rooted in Maqashid Sharia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze compensation management practices for contract teachers at Islamic Educational Institutions (LPI) and to formulate a resolution model capable of addressing compensation disparities in a sustainable manner. The low level of welfare among contract teachers, stemming from the foundation's limited funding, poses a major challenge that impacts teacher motivation, professionalism, and the continuity of their service. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which encompasses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that compensation disparities cannot be resolved solely by increasing salaries; rather, a more comprehensive strategy is required. This strategy involves diversifying the foundation's revenue sources, optimizing educational business units, strengthening partnerships with various stakeholders, and implementing a performance-based compensation system (merit system). The study's novelty lies in the development of the *Sinergi Maslahah* (Synergistic Public Good) Compensation Model—a model that integrates financial compensation with spiritual, psychological, and social rewards to achieve teacher welfare that is equitable, sustainable, and aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

The study of masculinities in the context of film is currently attracting global attention from researchers. However, there are still a few researchers who study Muslim men as heroes in the context of Indonesian films. In this regard, this research aims to explore Muslim male heroes in Indonesian horror and silat films through the perspective of masculinity. This research employs qualitative methods, with data collection techniques conducted through a literature review. The data used were Indonesian horror and silat films from 1970 to 2020. The results of this study reveal the following key findings. The results of this study show the following findings. First, in Indonesian horror films, there is a type of male Muslim hero who performs exorcism of demons that possess human bodies; performs exorcism of demons that disturb and cause terror to families/citizens; and fights against black magic shamans. Second, in Indonesian silat films, the type of Muslim male hero is often depicted as a tough, strong, and mighty figure, fighting against the Dutch colonizers. Third, Muslim male heroes who appear in Indonesian films, both horror and silat, are not fully the main hero character. Globally, this research is expected to contribute to Islamic studies on male heroes in films from the perspective of masculinity, a topic that has been rarely explored in Islamic studies.
