Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is an important program in the Independent Curriculum that requires teachers to actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of project-based learning. However, the implementation of this program in elementary schools still faces various obstacles. This study aims to analyze teachers' difficulties in implementing P5 for fifth-grade students at Air Putih 008 Public Elementary School, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Data validation was carried out using triangulation of sources, time, and techniques. The research subjects were fifth-grade teachers directly involved in the implementation of P5. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teacher difficulties occurred at three main stages. At the planning stage, teachers did not fully understand the concept of P5, so the objectives and flow of activities were still general and lacked detail, compounded by minimal technical training. At the implementation stage, obstacles arose due to limited time, facilities, and uneven student participation in group work. During the evaluation phase, assessments tend to focus on the final project results without optimizing the assessment of the process, character indicators, and portfolios. The main factors influencing these constraints include limited training, minimal supporting facilities, and the lack of comprehensive character assessment instruments. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for ongoing training for teachers, the provision of adequate facilities, and the development of a structured evaluation system to ensure more effective implementation of P5 in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the instrument and the readiness of elementary school teachers in implementing multicultural-based learning in the Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) subject. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire and interview guide covering ten main indicators. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items were valid, so the instrument was suitable for use. The indicator with the highest achievement was the learning approach aspect (0.938–0.950), which confirmed the tendency of teachers to use thematic, contextual, humanist, and constructivist approaches. Conversely, the lowest achievement was found in the inclusive attitude indicator (0.533) and the use of local media (0.533), which indicated the need for improvement in both aspects. The interview results showed that teacher readiness in multicultural-based learning was in the high to very high category. Learning methods (82.6) and evaluation (82.6) were the dominant aspects, indicating teachers' ability to apply a variety of methods and fair assessment of cross-cultural artworks. Teachers' inclusive attitudes were also recorded as very high (82). However, the indicators in learning (62.7) and approaches (60.5) were still in the fairly high category. Overall, this study confirms that teachers are well prepared to support multicultural-based Arts and Culture learning, although strengthening is still needed in the aspects of approach and cultural integration so that its implementation is more comprehensive.

Abstract

Climate change is a global challenge that requires education at the elementary school level to foster environmental awareness. Numeracy plays a vital role in enabling students to read, interpret, and use environmental data, which is essential for understanding climate change. However, the integration of numeracy with climate change education in primary schools has received inadequate attention. This study aims to systematically review literature on the integration of numeracy in climate change education in elementary schools. It investigates the various approaches, challenges, and outcomes of numeracy in environmental education, focusing on the development of students' ecological awareness and data interpretation skills. A systematic literature review using the PRISMA approach was employed. Articles were sourced from Scopus, with 46 initial articles screened, and 11 relevant studies from 2015-2024 were selected. Data analysis was conducted using VOSviewer for keyword co-occurrence visualization. The review revealed emerging trends in utilizing contextual numeracy through data visualization, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary modules. These strategies were effective in enhancing students' ecological literacy and climate change awareness. The study concludes that integrating numeracy with real-world climate data in primary education enhances students' understanding of climate change. Challenges remain in teacher resources and motivated numeracy, but the development of context-based curriculum models can address these gaps and improve environmental education.

Abstract

Draping patternmaking is a crucial skill in the fashion world, yet students often struggle to grasp the concept and its practical application. These difficulties stem from limited time for practical work and the lack of readily accessible learning resources for draping patternmaking. Web technology allows flexible access to learning materials. QR codes enable quick access to learning content that can be tailored to individual students' needs, supporting flexibility and speed in the learning process. The case method approach, which encourages learning based on real-life case studies, is also increasingly relevant in technology-based learning contexts. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of web-based learning media integrated with QR codes and using the case method approach in improving students' skills in draping patternmaking. This research method employed R&D with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the study results, validation by material experts (91%) and media experts (95%) was categorized as very valid. The average student response rate of 3.44 indicated a positive assessment of the media. Student perceptions of the media's ease of use, clarity, and usefulness were also very positive. The average N-Gain value of 0.65 indicates that the media's effectiveness is in the moderate category. Thus, this media is suitable for use and has proven quite effective in improving students' abilities in draping learning.
