Abstract

Indonesia’s pledge to reach Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060 has heightened the urgency to decarbonize diesel‑reliant microgrids in remote islands, where logistics inflate fuel costs and reliability risks. Sebira Island—Jakarta’s northernmost inhabited island—already operates a PV–battery–diesel hybrid system. Building on 2024 field measurements of load and solar resources, this study models the existing assets in PVsyst to obtain high‑fidelity PV energy profiles, then performs techno‑economic optimization with HOMER Pro. We evaluate three scenarios: (i) the current system, (ii) cost‑optimal expansion, and (iii) 100% renewable fraction. The optimal configuration adds 158.4 kWp ground‑mounted PV, 211.2 kWp floating PV, and 1,324 kWh Li‑ion storage, lowering the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) to Rp 4,879.36/kWh (−20% versus the existing system), cutting annual diesel use by ≈141 kL, and reducing CO₂ emissions by ≈372 t/year while fully meeting demand (833,872 kWh/year). Achieving 100% renewable fraction is technically feasible but requires ~1,425.6 kWp new PV and 5,875 kWh Li‑ion storage, raising LCOE to Rp 10,938.06/kWh. The results of this study emphasize the importance of modeling for hybrid power plant development to achieve the lowest LCOE and provide practical guidance for clean energy development on small islands. Policy implications highlight the role of floating PV when land is limited for developing existing hybrid systems.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is an important basic skill, but fifth-grade students at Jatimalang Public Elementary School still face difficulties, especially in solving story problems and contextual tasks. This study aims to describe the level of students' numeracy literacy in terms of the process of solving mathematical problems, identify difficulties at each stage of problem solving, and explore the factors that influence it. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through observation, problem-solving tests, interviews with the principal, classroom teachers, and several fifth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted inductively through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students' numeracy literacy skills were in the adequate category. The main difficulties were found in the stages of understanding the problem, designing strategies, and rechecking. These obstacles were caused by internal factors, such as low self-confidence and anxiety about mathematics, as well as external factors, such as teacher-centered learning methods and a lack of practice with real-world problems.

Abstract

Software is a core component of Management Information Systems (MIS) that transforms data into accurate, relevant, and timely information to support managerial decision-making. In the context of Islamic education management, software functions not merely as an administrative tool but as a strategic instrument to promote transparent, accountable, and data-driven governance. This paper aims to analyze the role of software in optimizing managerial decision effectiveness, identify technical and non-technical challenges in MIS integration, and examine the impact of adopting emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and low-code platforms. The findings indicate that MIS software enhances decision quality through real-time information, analytical features, and cross-unit integration. However, its implementation faces challenges including legacy system compatibility, data security and privacy concerns, infrastructure limitations, user resistance, and human resource readiness. Examples of educational MIS software in Indonesia include Dapodik, EMIS, Siakad, SIMPATIKA, and Moodle, which support data management and quality improvement in education. Properly managed, MIS software becomes a fundamental pillar in the digital transformation of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of mathematical concept understanding among students in inclusive elementary schools and the importance of psychological factors in supporting learning success. Self-efficacy is considered one of the internal determinants that influence students' confidence in completing academic tasks. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy on the mathematical concept understanding of students in inclusive elementary schools in Cluster III Kasihan, Bantul. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research sample consisted of 114 fifth-grade students selected from a population of 170 students using the Isaac and Michael table with a 5% error rate. The instruments used were a self-efficacy questionnaire and a mathematical concept understanding test that had been declared valid and reliable. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that the regression equation was Y = 55.779 + 0.210X, with t-count = 2.326 > t-table = 1.98 (Sig. 0.022 < 0.05) and F-count = 5.409 > F-table = 3.93, indicating that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on students’ mathematical concept understanding. However, the relationship is relatively low (R = 0.215), with the contribution of self-efficacy to mathematical concept understanding being 4.6%, or 3.8% after adjustment (Adjusted R² = 0.038), indicating that most of the variation is influenced by other factors outside this study.
