Abstract

Physical education plays an important role in supporting the physical, mental, and social development of elementary school students. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including low student learning interest, limited parental support, and inadequate school facilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of learning interest, parental support, and school facilities on physical education learning at SD Debora Banjarnegara. This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 46 students using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of JASP software. The results showed that descriptively all variables were in the low category. However, inferential analysis indicated that learning interest, parental support, and school facilities had a positive and significant effect on physical education learning, both partially and simultaneously. Learning interest was found to be the most dominant variable influencing learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.947) indicates that 94.7% of the variance in physical education learning is explained by these variables. In conclusion, improving students’ learning interest, strengthening parental support, and providing adequate school facilities are essential to enhance the quality of physical education learning.

Abstract

This study examines the role of citizenship learning and sports coaching activities in fostering student character development at MAN 1 Bone. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving 50 students, teachers, and coaches. The findings indicate that classroom learning promotes discipline, responsibility, and patriotism, while sports coaching strengthens teamwork, resilience, and leadership through structured training. The synergy between both creates a holistic character-building environment, reflected in improved behavior and social responsibility. This integration can be further enhanced through a cosplay-based learning model as a role-play approach to internalize character values. Despite challenges such as limited facilities, the program demonstrates an effective model for character education in madrasahs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Reading literacy in elementary schools remains a major problem in Indonesia, demonstrated by students' low ability to comprehend, analyze, and draw conclusions from reading material. Although the School Literacy Movement (GLS) has been implemented, its effectiveness tends to decline due to a lack of varied and engaging reading materials. Therefore, integration of literacy programs with learning media appropriate to student characteristics is necessary. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating the School Literacy Movement (GLS) and picture storybooks in improving elementary school students' reading literacy. The method used was a literature review, with data collection techniques through searching national journal articles in the Google Scholar and SINTA databases for the period 2021-2026. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through in-depth reading, grouping, comparison, and synthesis of research findings. The study results indicate that GLS is effective in developing sustainable reading habits, while picture storybooks can increase students' interest and understanding through visual stimuli. The integration of these two approaches has proven to be more optimal than their separate implementations. Therefore, it is recommended that schools manage the GLS program innovatively by providing a variety of reading materials, particularly picture books, to create a more effective and sustainable literacy culture. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for further research to develop more integrated, contextual, and sustainable literacy models in the future.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low interest in reading among students during learning activities, which is characterized by a lack of enthusiasm, low focus, and minimal initiative in reading.This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest. The sample consisted of all 23 third-grade students. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and observation sheets, while data analysis was conducted descriptively and inferentially using normality tests, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and the N-Gain test.The results of the study showed that students' reading interest scores in the pretest stage were in the low category (range 54–64), while the posttest results increased to the high category (range 75–80). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test produced a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. In addition, the average N-Gain value of 0.48 is included in the moderate category.Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of interactive video media is effective in increasing the reading interest of grade III students at Muhammadiyah IDI Tello Baru Elementary School, Makassar City.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Discovery Learning learning model on students' problem solving abilities in class IV science and science subjects at SD Inpres Samata, Gowa Regency. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, each with 27 students, so the total sample was 54 students. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, observation and documentation. The instruments used were problem solving ability tests and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the research show that the average pretest score in the experimental class is 50.89 and the control class is 51.70 which is in the low category. After being given treatment, the average posttest score for the experimental class increased to 77.78, while the control class became 73.67. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of 0.004 which is smaller than 0.05, so that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model has a significant effect on students' problem solving abilities in class IV science and science subjects at SD Inpres Samata, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Digital technology development has transformed public financial transaction patterns toward non-cash payment systems. One of the innovations developed by Bank Indonesia is QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), which facilitates payment processes through a single standardized QR code. This study aims to examine the effect of perceived ease of use on consumer preferences in using QRIS at Bolabaru Toys Store in Sidrap. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression to test the effect of the independent variable (ease of use) on the dependent variable (consumer preference) using SPSS 2021. The results show that ease of use has a positive and significant effect on consumer preferences in using QRIS. Based on the t-test results, the calculated t-value is greater than the t-table value and the significance value is less than 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, ease of use is proven to have a significant influence on consumer preferences in using QRIS at Bolabaru Toys Store in Sidrap. The higher the level of perceived ease, the greater the likelihood that consumers will choose, reuse, and recommend QRIS as a payment method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the outdoor method on the poetry writing skills of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Sicini, Gowa Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method through a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The subjects were 15 fifth-grade students. Data collection used a poetry writing skills test administered before and after the implementation of the outdoor method in the learning process. The results showed that students' poetry writing skills improved after using the method. The average score for students in the pretest was 55.33, increasing to 84.33 in the posttest. These results indicate that using the outdoor method significantly improved students' poetry writing skills. The outdoor method helps students find inspiration and express their imaginations in verses more easily through direct observation of their surroundings. Therefore, the outdoor method can be used as an effective alternative learning method to improve elementary school students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

Stress is one of the psychological problems frequently experienced by adolescents due to academic, social, and developmental pressures, which may lead to anxiety and depression. One factor that can help reduce these conditions is self-compassion; however, students’ understanding of this concept remains relatively low. Therefore, this study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a snakes and ladders game-based learning media called “Self-Compassion Explorer” as a tool to improve students’ understanding of self-compassion among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Serang. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were eleventh-grade students selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments included a self-compassion scale questionnaire as well as validation sheets from material experts, media experts, language experts, and practitioners. The results showed that the developed media was categorized as highly feasible based on expert evaluations, with a score of 95% from material and media experts, 91% from language experts, and 98% from practitioners. In addition, the product trial results reached 85.9% and received positive responses from students. Furthermore, there was an improvement in students’ understanding of self-compassion after using the media. In conclusion, the “Self-Compassion Explorer” game media is considered effective and feasible to be used as a guidance and counseling tool to enhance students’ understanding of self-compassion.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic religious education values in Indonesian and English language learning to improve elementary school students’ literacy. The research employs a qualitative approach that focuses on descriptive data analysis from various documents. This approach was chosen because the study is based on literature review and library research. Data were collected through Google Scholar using keywords relevant to the research variables, and the selected journals were determined based on their relevance to those keywords. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic educational values in Indonesian and English language learning at the elementary level is effective in improving students’ literacy. This improvement is reflected in students’ abilities in reading, writing, understanding information, and thinking critically. In Indonesian language learning, the use of texts containing Islamic values increases students’ reading interest, comprehension, and ability to express ideas in a structured manner. Meanwhile, in English language learning, the integration of values is implemented through vocabulary, dialogues, and simple contextual texts, which help improve students’ vocabulary mastery and comprehension, although challenges remain in pronunciation and self-confidence. In terms of writing, students show progress in constructing sentences that follow language rules and contain positive values. Additionally, students become more active in discussions, indicating that the integration of Islamic values not only enhances literacy skills but also shapes students’ attitudes and character. However, the implementation still faces several challenges, including limited teaching materials, a lack of variation in instructional media, and differences in students’ initial language abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the storytelling learning method on the listening skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 53 Sauleya in Takalar Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects were all 30 fifth-grade students at SDN 53 Sauleya. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, consisting of 15 students in the experimental class and 15 students in the control class. Data collection used a listening ability test in the form of a pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant effect between the use of the storytelling method on students' listening skills. This was demonstrated by an increase in the average score in the experimental class from 66.67 to 87.00. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test, the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was less than 0.05, indicating a significant effect. This indicates that the use of storytelling methods can optimally influence students' listening skills. Therefore, the application of engaging learning methods such as storytelling should be considered as an effective strategy in influencing students' listening skills in elementary schools
