Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Academic supervision conducted by school supervisors is fundamentally intended to improve the quality of learning and teacher professionalism; however, in practice, it is still dominated by administrative and evaluative approaches, making it less optimal as a professional learning mechanism. This study aims to examine the implementation of Education Report-based academic supervision in strengthening the quality of the learning process in primary schools, identify existing research gaps, and formulate directions for more effective supervision development. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method combined with gap analysis of various national and international studies. The findings indicate that academic supervision has significant potential to enhance learning quality when implemented systematically, collaboratively, and reflectively; however, a gap remains between its ideal conceptual framework and its practical implementation. Furthermore, the integration of data in supervision practices is still limited due to low data literacy and insufficient institutional support. Therefore, a transformative data-driven academic supervision model is needed, integrating teacher professional development, pedagogical reflection, and evidence-based decision making grounded in the Education Report.

This study aims to analyze the utilization of flipbook media assisted by the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach in improving elementary school students' learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) based on local wisdom. This research uses a literature review method by analyzing various relevant national and international journals. The findings indicate that flipbook media provides interactive, visual, and flexible learning experiences, while the PBL approach enhances students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Integration of local wisdom makes learning more contextual and meaningful. Overall, the combination of flipbook media, PBL, and local wisdom significantly contributes to improving students’ learning outcomes, engagement, and conceptual understanding in IPAS subjects at the elementary level.

Islamic education in Indonesia faces increasingly complex quality challenges amid the rapid currents of globalization and massive digital transformation. This study aims to examine the integration of Total Quality Management (TQM) with Islamic values as a comprehensive foundation for improving Islamic education quality, to analyze its implementation process in enhancing academic and non-academic service quality, and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. Employing a qualitative approach through library research methodology, all data were entirely derived from secondary sources comprising reputable national and international journals, scientific reference books, and educational policy documents analyzed critically using content analysis and critical discourse analysis. The findings reveal that TQM principles demonstrate remarkably strong epistemological compatibility with Islamic values such as amanah (integrity), itqan (professionalism), syūrā (deliberation), and ishlah (continuous improvement), generating an authentic and holistic quality management paradigm deeply rooted in Islamic scholarly tradition. TQM implementation grounded in Islamic values demonstrably enhances both academic and non-academic service quality significantly when driven by visionary leadership embodying Islamic character and actively engaging all stakeholders. The primary inhibiting factors include resistance to change, limited human resources, and insufficient conceptual understanding, while supporting factors encompass leadership commitment, human resource capacity building, and comprehensive stakeholder synergy. This research contributes to developing an applicable and sustainable TQM conceptual framework based on Islamic values for Islamic educational institutions throughout Indonesia.

This study examines the influence of cultural globalization on the formation of student identity, which arises in the conflict between local values, which conflict between collectivism and the global value system of individualism. Students are considered to be in the emerging adult stage of their life journey. Although identity crises, such as role confusion, anxiety, and culture shock, are common, students are particularly vulnerable to them. This article attempts to describe the influence of cultural globalization on student identity, the nature of student identity crises, and the impact of counseling on these issues. This qualitative study uses desk research methods in the form of secondary literature to establish a baseline for the identity crisis phenomenon. The findings indicate that student counseling, particularly within a multicultural framework, provides a valuable opportunity to establish a counseling environment that facilitates self-exploration. Self-exploration and self-reflection techniques in counseling help students choose and limit the adaptation and integration of global cultures into their local culture. Students find positive reinforcement techniques useful in managing and overcoming cultural differences. This encourages students to adopt a positive view of their new environment, allowing them to view it as a non-threatening learning environment. These counseling practices have positive impacts, including increased self-esteem, improved coping skills, and better integration and synthesis of local and global identities.

This study was conducted to determine whether there is an effect of using Bookwall learning media on students’ understanding and learning independence at UPTD SDN Burneh 1 Bangkalan in IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all students in class 3A, totaling 30 students, and the entire population was used as the research sample. The instruments used in this study were test questions to measure students’ understanding and questionnaires to assess their learning independence. Several data analysis tests were conducted, including a validity test to determine the validity of the research instruments, a reliability test to measure the consistency of valid instruments, and a normality test to examine whether the data were normally distributed. Furthermore, a paired sample t-test was used to identify the difference in mean scores between two related variables derived from the same sample. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that the use of Bookwall learning media in IPAS learning has a significant effect on students’ understanding and learning independence. This is evidenced by the significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results after the implementation of the Bookwall learning media.

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the qailullah program in supporting effective learning at SDIT Tirtayasa. The qailullah program is one of the school's flagship programs, implemented regularly by providing students with time to rest and take a short nap before continuing their learning activities. This program is designed to maintain students' physical fitness and psychological well-being so that they can participate in the learning process more optimally. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of the qailullah program and its impact on the teaching and learning process. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The research participants consisted of the principal, teachers, and students who were directly involved in the implementation of the qailullah program. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the qailullah program made a positive contribution to the learning process at SDIT Tirtayasa. The program provided students with adequate rest, enabling them to return to class feeling refreshed, focused, and motivated. Teachers also reported that classroom conditions became more orderly and conducive after the qailullah session. Furthermore, students demonstrated increased attention to learning materials, greater participation in classroom activities, and improved understanding of the lessons. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the qailullah program plays an important role in supporting effective learning at SDIT Tirtayasa. In addition to promoting students' health and well-being, the program helps create a comfortable learning environment, allowing the teaching and learning process to take place more effectively.

This study aims to determine the implementation of comic-based learning media in improving students’ reading literacy through the SQ3R model, which is based on the low level of students’ reading interest in Indonesian language subjects caused by the lack of attractive learning media and appropriate teaching methods. This research employed a qualitative method with thirty-seven students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques included reading literacy tests using comics, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of comic-based learning media combined with the SQ3R method can significantly improve students reading literacy compared to conventional learning. This study concludes that comic based learning media through the SQ3R model is effective in improving students reading literacy in Indonesian language learning at elementary schools.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in improving students’ learning outcomes and to determine the differences in achievement between a class implementing the Discovery Learning model and a class using conventional instruction on the topic of Global Warming in Grade X at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent posttest only control group design. The sample consisted of 64 students divided into two classes, with 32 students in class X.7 as the experimental group and 32 students in class X.6 as the control group. The research instrument was a learning outcomes test comprising 20 multiple-choice questions developed based on Bloom’s Taxonomy cognitive levels (C1–C5). The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that the experimental class achieved an average score of 82.03, categorized as good, while the control class obtained an average score of 75.78, also categorized as good. These findings indicate a significant difference in students’ learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, demonstrating that the application of the Discovery Learning model effectively improves students’ learning outcomes on Global Warming material compared to conventional learning.

This work is part of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, under the guidance of Ihwan Firmansyah, M.Pd.. This study aims to examine the impact of implementing learning media in the form of word matching games on the understanding and learning activity of sixth grade students at SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan. The approach used is quantitative research with a one group pretest-posttest design, which allows for the evaluation of changes before and after the intervention. Data collection techniques involved the use of questionnaires and test questions, while the validity of the instruments was tested through validity and reliability analysis. Data analysis methods included normality tests and paired sample t-tests to determine the significance of differences. The results of the paired sample t-test on learning activity showed a significant value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the word matching game media has a significant effect on increasing student learning activity. Similarly, the paired sample t-test for learning comprehension produced a significant value of 0.000, which is also below 0.05, indicating a positive effect of this media on the comprehension of Indonesian language material. These findings underscore the potential of interactive media in enriching the learning process at the elementary school level.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sikap bahasa komunitas Jawa di Desa Padang Canduh, Kecamatan Kinali, Kabupaten Pasaman Barat melalui pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana masyarakat memposisikan dan mempertahankan penggunaan bahasa Jawa, khususnya dalam bentuk Kromo dan Ngoko, dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan sikap bahasa antara generasi tua dan muda. Generasi tua cenderung mempertahankan penggunaan bahasa Jawa Kromo sebagai bentuk penghormatan dan identitas budaya, sementara generasi muda lebih dominan menggunakan bahasa Jawa Ngoko. Temuan ini mencerminkan adanya pergeseran sikap bahasa yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia, pendidikan, dan lingkungan sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang dinamika penggunaan bahasa daerah di tengah arus modernisasi dan perubahan sosial budaya.
