Abstract

This study examines the role of teachers in Indonesian language habituation as an effort to improve students' cognitive abilities in schools. There are significant challenges in accustoming students to using Indonesian due to the dominant use of regional languages ​​in their daily lives. This condition has the potential to hinder the development of students' cognitive abilities, which are closely related to language mastery. The main objective of this study is to describe the strategies implemented by teachers and identify the impact of Indonesian language habituation on students' cognitive development. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation studies related to school programs. The results indicate that teachers play a central role in the success of this habituation program. Teachers employ various strategies, such as consistently using Indonesian when communicating with students, implementing interactive and enjoyable learning methods, and integrating Indonesian into every subject. These practices positively impact students' cognitive abilities, as evidenced by their ability to understand lesson concepts, reason, and construct sentences in a more structured and logical manner. Thus, teachers' active role and creative strategies have proven effective in addressing language learning challenges and contributing significantly to students' cognitive development. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan citra pahlawan dalam cerita rakyat Ciung Wanara serta relevansinya terhadap penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Tahapan analisis meliputi pemilihan cerita Ciung Wanara, identifikasi struktur naratif dengan teori Propp, telaah perjalanan tokoh melalui kerangka The Hero’s Journey Campbell, interpretasi citra pahlawan dengan delapan klaster Goethals dan Allison, serta kategorisasi nilai karakter sesuai dimensi Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ciung Wanara digambarkan sebagai sosok pahlawan yang berani, tangguh, bijaksana, adil, dan berbakti. Karakter tersebut sesuai dengan nilai karakter PPK, yaitu religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotongroyong, dan integritas. Citra pahlawan dalam cerita tidak hanya merefleksikan idealisme moral masyarakat Sunda, tetapi juga dapat dijadikan teladan konkret bagi peserta didik. Dengan demikian, Ciung Wanara memiliki nilai strategis sebagai media pembelajaran. Integrasi cerita rakyat ini di sekolah mampu memperkuat pendidikan karakter, menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air, dan memperkokoh identitas budaya bangsa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content quality of the book 33 Hari Mahir Bahasa Arab written by Ustadz H. Syaiful Alim, Lc., M.Pd., and to evaluate its compliance with W.F. Mackey’s principles of language teaching materials development, namely selection, gradation, presentation, and repetition. This research employed a qualitative approach with a library research design, supported by content analysis and interviews as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that the book generally meets the criteria of a good textbook in terms of content, language, presentation, and graphics. Its strengths lie in the selection of functional materials, the progressive gradation of topics, the simple and communicative presentation, and the consistent application of repetition. However, some weaknesses were also identified, such as limited variation in presentation methods, lack of visual and digital media integration, and insufficient context-based practice tasks. Thus, it can be concluded that the book is suitable as a teaching material for beginner learners, although further development is needed to meet the demands of modern language learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik mantra yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Kecamatan Rancakalong, Kabupaten Sumedang. Fokus kajian terbatas pada lima jenis mantra, yaitu pengasihan/ asihan, pengobatan/ jampe, tatacara, kekuatan/ ajian dan Tolak Malapetaka/ singlar.. Analisis dilakukan melalui perspektif semiotik dan psikoanalisis dengan mengacu pada empat tokoh: Michael Riffaterre (heuristik dan hermeneutik), Roland Barthes (denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos), Charles Sanders Peirce (ikon, indeks, simbol), serta Sigmund Freud (simbolisme dan alam bawah sadar). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi teks mantra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mantra di Rancakalong memiliki ciri khas dalam struktur bahasa berupa repetisi, diksi simbolik, dan metafora yang berfungsi sebagai media spiritual, sosial, dan estetis. Analisis semiotik memperlihatkan bahwa setiap mantra memuat makna berlapis, mulai dari makna literal hingga simbolisme budaya dan mitologis. Analisis psikoanalisis menyingkap adanya simbol-simbol bawah sadar yang berkaitan dengan rasa takut, harapan, dan keyakinan masyarakat terhadap kekuatan adikodrati. Selain fungsi praktis, mantra juga berperan dalam pewarisan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Sunda. Hasil kajian ini direkomendasikan sebagai bahan ajar sastra lisan dalam pendidikan, sehingga dapat memperkaya pemahaman siswa terhadap tradisi dan identitas budaya lokal.

Abstract

Education is the main basis for the development of society and the country. The Community Service Program (KKN) is one way to involve students from universities in improving the quality of education in certain areas. This research aims to examine the role of Real Work Lecture (KKN) students in developing innovative learning methods at SMPN Satap 9 Pesawaran. Education is an important aspect in community development, but many challenges are faced by educational institutions, including less attractive learning methods and low student engagement. Through a qualitative approach, data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand the experiences of KKN students and their impact on the learning process. The research results show that KKN students have succeeded in implementing innovative learning methods, such as project-based learning and cooperative learning, which can increase student motivation and involvement. KKN students play an active role in the teaching and learning process. They not only act as observers but also as facilitators who help improve learning methods. KKN students contribute to teaching training, assist, and create an interactive learning atmosphere by using creative learning strategies. Apart from that, they also implement programs aimed at increasing students' interest in learning, including learning activities outside of school and providing motivation. However, KKN students also face various challenges, including differences in student learning styles, limited technological knowledge, and obstacles. Resource. The conclusions of this research emphasize the importance of appropriate support for KKN students so that they can continue to make positive contributions in improving the quality of education at SMPN Satap 9 Pesawaran. It is hoped that innovation in learning methods will continue and have a significant impact on students, teachers, and society.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of audiovisual media on the conceptual understanding of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning among fourth-grade students at SDN 61 Karara, Bima City. The research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consists of 22 students, and data were collected using a test comprising 15 multiple-choice questions. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests and paired sample t-tests using SPSS 27 for Windows. The results showed an increase in the average concept understanding score from 32.79 in the pretest to 83.20 in the posttest. The t-test results indicated a significant difference before and after the implementation of audiovisual media. Thus, audiovisual media is proven to have an effect on improving conceptual understanding. This media can be an effective alternative learning strategy at the elementary school level, especially in the IPAS subject. Keywords: Audio visual Media, Conceptual Understanding,IPAS Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media audio visual terhadap pemahaman konsep pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) siswa kelas IV SDN 61 Karara Kota Bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 siswa dan data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes yang terdiri dari 15 soal pilihan ganda. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas dan paired sample t-test menggunakan SPSS 27 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata score pemahaman konsep dari 32,79 pada pretest menjadi 83,20 pada posttest. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya media audio visual. Dengan demikian, media audio visual terbukti berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Media ini dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif di jenjang sekolah dasar, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dan belum optimalnya integrasi Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (ESD) dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih belum optimal dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development,Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah 38 siswa kelas III SDN Mekar Mukti 01. Media puzzle yang dikembangkan dirancang untuk materi pecahan, dimana setiap kepingan berisi soal dan jawaban. Integrasi ESD dilakukan dengan mengaitkan materi pecahan dengan isu keberlanjutan, seperti Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 6 tentang air bersih dan sanitasi layak.Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 98,3% dengan kategori "sangat layak," dan penilaian ahli media memperoleh skor 76,7% dengan kategori "layak". Uji kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari respons siswa mendapatkan nilai persentase 87,98% dengan kategori "sangat praktis". Berdasarkan hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media puzzle berbasis ESD yang dikembangkan layak dan praktis digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Media ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk pembelajaran matematika materi pecahan.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of the Collaborative Learning approach in Islamic Religious Education to enhance spiritual competence and exemplary behavior among 3rd-grade students at SDN Inpres Bajo. The problem faced is the lack of effective learning methods to improve students' spiritual competence and exemplary behavior in the context of Islamic Religious Education. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Collaborative Learning approach in enhancing students' spiritual competence and exemplary behavior. The research methodology used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest. The sample consists of 22 3rd-grade students at SDN Inpres Bajo. Research instruments include tests of spiritual competence and exemplary behavior, as well as observations of the learning process. The Collaborative Learning approach was applied in Islamic Religious Education emphasizing cooperation, communication, problem-solving, responsibility, and creativity. The results show that the Collaborative Learning approach has a significant influence on enhancing students' spiritual competence and exemplary behavior. The improvement is evident from the significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Observations of the learning process indicate that students are more active and engaged in learning with the Collaborative Learning approach. Thus, it can be concluded that the Collaborative Learning approach is effective in enhancing the spiritual competence and exemplary behavior of 3rd-grade students at SDN Inpres Bajo in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the Direct Instruction learning model in teaching musical accompaniment for the Kabela dance at SMA Negeri 2 Kotamobagu. The focus of the research is to determine the extent to which this model can improve students’ skills in playing musical instruments for dance accompaniment and to identify the challenges encountered during the learning process. This research employed a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The subjects of the study were students involved in learning musical accompaniment for the dance at the school. The results showed that the implementation of the Direct Instruction model significantly helped students understand and play accompanying musical instruments, such as the flute, tambourine, and gong. Systematic learning through the stages of introduction, material presentation, guided practice, independent practice, and evaluation made it easier for students to understand the rhythm and tempo patterns of the Kabela dance accompaniment. The main challenges found in this study were students’ difficulties in synchronizing tempo in group performances and their lack of prior experience in playing traditional musical instruments. However, these challenges could be minimized through regular practice and intensive guidance from the teacher during the learning process. In conclusion, the study finds that the Direct Instruction learning model is effective in improving students’ skills in playing musical accompaniment for the Kabela dance. This model can serve as an alternative method in music education at schools to enhance students’ understanding and skills in a systematic and structured way.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana game Educandy digunakan untuk mengajar materi interaksi sosial dan bagaimana siswa di kelas III merespons media pembelajaran ini. Siswa memiliki keterampilan komunikasi yang buruk dan tidak tertarik dengan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional, yang cenderung monoton, sebagai latar belakang dari penelitian ini.Game Educandy dipilih karena sifatnya yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, serta kemampuan untuk menyajikan materi dengan cara yang lebih menarik. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Di SD Islam Tirtayasa, subjek penelitian adalah lima siswa kelas III dan dua guru. Pendekatan tematik digunakan untuk menganalisis data untuk menemukan pola dan tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa game Educandy dapat membuat kelas menjadi menyenangkan dan membuat siswa lebih terlibat aktif. Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan Educandy sangat positif. Siswa sangat antusias, lebih percaya diri saat menyampaikan pendapat, dan terlibat aktif dalam diskusi kelompok. Mereka juga menyatakan ingin menggunakan media yang sama lagi di masa mendatang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa game edukatif seperti Educandy dapat membantu siswa menjadi lebih baik dalam berkomunikasi dan mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang bermanfaat.
