Abstract

This research aims to trace the historical development of lughawi tafsir since the early days of Islam, starting from the era of the Companions and Tabi'in, the period of codification of classical tafsir, to its development in the modern era, as well as examining its implications for contemporary Islamic education. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach. Data were obtained from three main sources: (1) classical books of lughawi tafsir such as al-Zamakhsari's Al-Kasyaf and al-Farrā'ān's Ma'āni al-Qur'ān, (2) contemporary literature that examines the linguistics of the Qur'an, such as Dukes' Arabic Semantic in Quranic Discourse, and (3) Islamic education curriculum documents from various institutions. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation and data analysis using a historical approach. The results of the study show that Lughawi Tafsir makes a great contribution to the development of Qur'anic sciences, especially in the field of linguistics and Qur'anic Ulumul. This approach has been proven to strengthen students' linguistic analysis skills, as well as encourage the mastery of linguistic tools in understanding the Qur'an. In addition, Lughawi's interpretation also influences the development of an Islamic education curriculum that emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach. However, challenges arise in the form of limitations of methodological innovation and the gap between classical traditions and the needs of modern education. This study confirms the importance of revitalizing Lughawi interpretation in the design of relevant and contextual Islamic curriculums.

Abstract

This study aims to describe whether there is an improvement in student learning outcomes after using Nearpod as a learning medium in the IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) subject, specifically on electrical energy and technology in everyday life. This research employs a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental Design. The population comprises all fifth-grade students at MIS Al-Jihad Palangka Raya, with Class VC selected as the sample using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used include observation, pre-test, and post-test assessments. The instrument test was conducted in Class VIC, resulting in 21 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.873. Observations were carried out by directly assessing the learning process conducted by the fifth-grade teacher, using 17 observation indicators. The prerequisite tests included the normality test (0.407) and the homogeneity test (0.228). The study results showed that using Nearpod during classroom observation yielded a score of 95%, which falls into the very high category. The researchers measured the effectiveness of improving students' learning outcomes using the N-Gain score and obtained a value of 0.63, indicating moderate effectiveness. The t-test analysis produced a significance value of < 0.000. Based on the decision rule, since the significance value is less than 0.05, the researchers rejected the null hypothesis (H₀) and accepted the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ). Therefore, they concluded that the use of Nearpod had a significant effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of principal academic supervision, the role of teacher leaders (Guru Penggerak), and teacher work discipline on the quality of elementary schools in Gunungpati District, Semarang City. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method and correlational design, the research involved a total population of 270 public elementary school teachers across 32 schools. A sample of 161 teachers was selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire measured on a Likert scale and tested for validity and reliability using SPSS software. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite tests (normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity) and hypothesis testing through multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that principal academic supervision significantly influenced school quality with a contribution of 65.5%; the role of teacher leaders contributed 56.1%; and teacher work discipline contributed 59.2%. Simultaneously, the three variables accounted for 75.5% of the variance in school quality. These results demonstrate that internal school factors play a crucial role in achieving educational quality. The study underscores the importance of optimizing the principal's supervisory role, strengthening teacher leadership capacity, and fostering a disciplined work culture among teachers. The findings provide empirical evidence that can inform policy and strategic decisions to improve school quality at the institutional and systemic levels.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's learning method at the Madarijul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bandar Lampung. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a type of field research. Primary data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. Secondary data was obtained from literature studies in the form of books, journals, Qur'anic verses, and relevant hadiths. The data collection technique uses participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, with data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the five learning methods of the Prophet SAW—lecture/muhadharah, halaqah/egalitarian, reward and punishment (targhib-tarhib), gradual, and stories with wisdom—have been applied in an integrated manner in the pesantren environment. Each method has a distinctive form of implementation and has a positive impact on the development of character, discipline, and understanding of students. This finding affirms that the learning methods of the Prophet SAW remain relevant in the context of contemporary education and can be used as a reference in building a holistic Islamic education system. This research also highlights the importance of integrating prophetic values in character education. Recommendations for further research are to expand the location and context of the study, as well as examine the integration of the Prophet SAW's learning methods with technology-based learning approaches to answer the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This study explores the strengthening of religious moderation through cultural communication in addressing socio-religious issues within multicultural communities. Employing a qualitative approach with library research methods, this study analyzes primary sources such as scholarly books, accredited national and international journals, and relevant policy documents. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify patterns related to moderation, communication, and 21st-century skills. The findings reveal that religious moderation cannot be conveyed solely through normative doctrines; it must be contextualized through inclusive cultural communication that respects diversity. Core moderation values such as tawassuth, tasamuh, tawazun, i’tidal, and musawah are more effectively internalized when embedded in local communication practices. Additionally, the integration of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity contributes significantly to cultivating tolerant individuals capable of navigating the complexities of contemporary social and religious life. This study provides a conceptual contribution by linking cultural communication with the mastery of 21st-century skills, a connection not thoroughly addressed in previous research. The implications emphasize the role of educational institutions, religious leaders, and media in fostering a moderate, inclusive society. Ultimately, religious moderation must be actualized through everyday practices supported by strategic communication and relevant competencies for navigating pluralistic realities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the collaboration between three key social institutions the Neighborhood Chief, the Tolong Menolong Union (STM), and the Mosque Prosperity Board (BKM)—in shaping youth character in Neighborhood VIII, Panyabungan City. The main objective is to understand how institutional synergy fosters moral awareness, social responsibility, and helps prevent juvenile delinquency through community-based approaches. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method. The research data for this study comes from collaborative activities between three main social institutions: the Head of the Neighborhood Association (RT), the Mutual Aid Association (STM), and the Osque Prosperity Body (BKM)—in shaping the character of adolescents. Primary data sources include field interviews and observations, while secondary data consist of institutional records and relevant literature. Data collection used triangulation, combining interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis followed the interactive model by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that active communication, deliberation, and religious activities such as recitations, mutual cooperation, and youth discussions are effective strategies in instilling positive values. Direct involvement of community leaders strengthens social ties and reduces immoral behavior and crime among youth. The study concludes that this collaborative model functions not only as social supervision but also as a key instrument for community-based character education.

Abstract

his study aims to investigate the effect of the Open Education Resource (OER) Edupreneurship Business Model on students’ Entrepreneurial Orientation. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, the research involved 44 students participating in the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) entrepreneurship program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Primary data were obtained through closed questionnaires developed based on theoretical indicators of the Edupreneurship Resources Business Model and Entrepreneurial Orientation, and validated by experts. Secondary data were sourced from institutional documents, MBKM program reports, entrepreneurship curricula, and relevant scientific publications. The sampling technique used was quota sampling, due to the limited accessibility of the full population. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale, and analysis was conducted through simple linear regression using SPSS, following classical assumption tests including normality, linearity, and homogeneity. The results show a significant and positive influence of the four components of the edupreneurship business model, content-based, content production, engagement, and business-market models, on students’ entrepreneurial orientation. This orientation includes innovation, proactiveness, risk management, passion, and persistence in starting a business. The study confirms that the integration of open education resources within entrepreneurship education, as facilitated by the MBKM program, can strengthen students' entrepreneurial character and readiness. These findings have implications for policymakers in the field of higher education, particularly in the formulation of strategies that support the development of innovative, value-added, and sustainable entrepreneurship among students. Ultimately, the study contributes to the discourse on how higher education can play a strategic role in shaping young entrepreneurs as part of national economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Program in high school students in Bulukumba Regency, especially at SMAN 1 Bulukumba and MAN 2 Bulukumba, using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The main purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the program in improving students' memorization skills, comprehension, and religious character formation, as well as identifying supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-location case study method. Data was collected through interviews with tahfiz teachers, students, and principals, observations of tahfiz activities, and program documentation. The results of the analysis showed that the program received support from schools, parents, and external institutions, despite differences in resources between the two schools. The implementation process runs routinely, but still faces obstacles in terms of time allocation and limited facilities. In general, the program has a positive impact on improving Qur'an memorization, student involvement in religious activities, and character building. This research shows the importance of optimizing facilities, teacher training, and integrating tahfiz programs in the curriculum in order to contribute more to the spiritual and moral development of students at the secondary level.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Kayuh Baimbai values—emphasizing mutual cooperation, solidarity, and social responsibility—in character-excellent schools in Banjarmasin City. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, principals, and students; participatory observations; and analysis of school documents such as curricula and activity reports. The selected schools are recognized for integrating local wisdom into their educational practices. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation ensuring validity. The findings reveal that Kayuh Baimbai's values are embedded across multiple school domains: classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, policy-making, and social programs. These values strengthen students’ cultural identity, interpersonal relationships, and sense of collective responsibility. However, the study also identifies implementation challenges, including superficial student understanding, limited teacher training, and pressure to meet academic benchmarks that constrain value-based education. The study concludes that while Kayuh Baimbai has significant potential for character development, its effective application requires systemic reforms particularly in curriculum design, teacher training, and school-community collaboration. It also recommends adapting these traditional values to address contemporary social issues such as digital citizenship and environmental responsibility, ensuring their continued relevance in a modern educational context.
