Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance active learning and sportsmanship in elementary physical education through the implementation of a structured PJOK Trofeo model supported by pre-service teachers (PLP students). Conducted at SD Citra Bakti, the program adopted a service-learning framework integrating collaborative mentoring among lecturers, pre-service teachers, and school teachers. The intervention was implemented in four stages: needs assessment, collaborative design, structured Trofeo-based activities, and reflective evaluation. Data were collected using observation sheets assessing student participation and sportsmanship indicators, complemented by reflective reports from pre-service teachers. The results demonstrated a significant increase in active participation (from 62% to 85%) and improvements in sportsmanship indicators, including fair play and teamwork. Furthermore, pre-service teachers showed enhanced pedagogical competence in classroom management and active learning facilitation. The novelty of this program lies in reconstructing a competitive format into a pedagogical device that integrates cooperative learning principles and service learning within a community-based partnership. This model provides a replicable framework for character-oriented and experiential physical education practices.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Branch Management (PCM) and Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah Branch Management (PCNA) of Kebakkramat are organizations that are active in social, religious, and cadre development activities in Karanganyar. The challenges of regeneration and strengthening cadre activities have driven the need for practical and relevant empowerment programs. These community service activities are carried out through creative economy training in the form of making liquid dish soap and ecoprinting as an effort to improve the skills and capacity of cadres. Liquid soap was chosen because it is a household necessity with broad business opportunities, while ecoprinting was chosen as an environmentally friendly craft skill that can be developed into products of artistic and economic value. The implementation methods included introduction, education, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring. The results of the activities showed an increase in the creativity and understanding of cadres in utilizing business opportunities based on practical skills. This activity also contributed to strengthening the association's independence and competitiveness and produced outputs in the form of scientific publications, documentation products, and potential intellectual property rights (IPR). This program is expected to be a strategic step in strengthening cadre capacity and supporting sustainable community empowerment.

Abstract

Strength and Conditioning (S&C) is an important component in preparing and improving athlete performance, especially in the sport of pencak silat which demands optimal strength, speed, endurance, and movement quality. This community service activity was carried out at the Pagar Nusa Martial Arts Student Activity Unit of UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri with the aim of improving the understanding, knowledge, and abilities of coaches and athletes in developing and implementing S&C programs that are in accordance with the characteristics of pencak silat. The methods used included material socialization and field practice assistance to 52 participants, consisting of coaches, trainers, and athletes. The results of the community service showed that before the activity began, all participants had understood the basic concepts of S&C, but did not yet understand good and correct movement techniques according to the principles of sports science. After the delivery of the material, discussion, and practice, all participants (100%) showed an increase in understanding regarding the concept of S&C, the principles of hypertrophy, biomotor, movement techniques, and the development of training programs for strength, endurance, speed, and the needs of each age category. The activity ran smoothly and received a very positive response from all participants. Thus, this service has succeeded in increasing the participants' competence in applying sports science-based Strength and Conditioning to optimize pencak silat performance.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to provide post-training mentoring and evaluation water safety skills for individuals with hearing disabilities in DKI Jakarta. The program was initiated in response to the limited access to inclusive water safety education and the high risk of water-related accidents among persons with disabilities. The activities focused on strengthening participants’ understanding, practical skills, and independence in applying water safety principles after completing the initial basic training. The implementation methods included direct assistance in swimming pool sessions, the use of visual media and sign language, emergency situation simulations, and structured skill assessments through observation instruments. The evaluation process measured improvements in knowledge, basic water safety techniques, and participants’ responses to potential risk situations in aquatic environments. In addition, reflective discussions were conducted with instructors and facilitators to identify challenges and areas for further program development. The results indicated an increase in participants’ understanding of water safety concepts, improvement in self-rescue skills, and enhanced confidence in engaging in aquatic activities. Continuous mentoring proved effective in strengthening skill retention and minimizing accident risks. This program recommends the development of adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable water safety training models as part of broader efforts to promote inclusive sports and physical education services for individuals with hearing disabilities.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a Community Service Program (PKM) entitled “Edukatif Socialization of Basic International Trade Education Management for Children at Berkat Bintang Sejati Indonesia Orphanage Through Interactive Learning and Educational Games.” The program aims to introduce fundamental concepts of international trade to orphanage children while fostering their cognitive, social, and entrepreneurial skills. The activities are designed to provide basic knowledge on topics such as export-import processes, global markets, simple trading mechanisms, and the role of international business in economic development. To enhance learning effectiveness, the program adopts interactive teaching methods, including simulations, role-playing, and educational games, allowing participants to actively engage and better understand abstract economic concepts. In addition, the program emphasizes the development of soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Through participatory learning approaches, the children are encouraged to explore their creativity and build confidence in understanding global economic activities. The effectiveness of the program is evaluated based on participants’ ability to comprehend basic trade concepts and actively participate in simulation activities, supported by feedback from facilitators and participants. The findings indicate that interactive and game-based learning methods are highly effective in delivering foundational knowledge of international trade, while also contributing to the empowerment and future readiness of orphanage children.

Abstract

The scarcity of available land does not impede the development of productive activities. Hydroponic vegetable cultivation emerges as a viable solution for maximizing the utilization of limited land. Hydroponic vegetables have been shown to possess enhanced nutritional value and to be free from pesticides. The cultivation of hydroponic vegetables has the potential to augment family income. The objective of this Community Service Program (CSP) is to empower Family Welfare Empowerment (FWE) members in Babadan Village through counseling and mentoring. The hydroponic vegetable cultivation media utilizes readily available household items. The CSP is a multifaceted program that includes a location survey, planning, counseling, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the CSP showed that 80% of the participants understood the hydroponic vegetable growing system. After the activity was completed, CSP participants practiced hydroponic vegetable cultivation independently. The principle of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) is applied as an operational saving step. This CSP activity improves participants' skills and supports economic independence and awareness of the importance of healthy food. The future expansion of this CSP initiative entails the diversification of hydroponic plant species, the establishment of a hydroponic community, and enhanced access to marketing opportunities for produce. The integration of local markets and digital platforms is anticipated to be optimized.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the accounting competencies of university students through the active involvement of academics as judges in Accounting Fair VIII at Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU). The role of academics extends beyond evaluation, functioning as a medium for knowledge transfer, critical feedback, and competency benchmarking aligned with academic and industry standards. The program focuses on enhancing students’ understanding of accounting principles, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment through competition-based activities such as quizzes, case studies, and financial analysis challenges. The implementation involves structured assessment by academic judges combined with direct feedback, enabling students to gain practical insights and improve readiness for real-world challenges. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ competencies, particularly in analytical accuracy, confidence, and engagement in accounting learning. Thus, the involvement of academics as judges serves as a strategic approach to improving the quality of accounting education and preparing students for professional demands.
