Abstract

Starfruit is a primary commodity in Kepanjenlor Village, Blitar Regency, yet its utilization remains suboptimal as it is predominantly sold in its fresh form. This situation results in a harvest surplus that drives down market prices. This community service project aims to introduce functional food innovation by transforming starfruit into kombucha tea for local PKK (Family Welfare Movement) members to enhance its economic value. The methods employed include technical training, mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results demonstrated a significant 75% increase in participants' skills in processing starfruit into kombucha. Additionally, 95% of participants expressed a strong interest in producing and marketing the product independently and demonstrated a clear understanding of its health benefits. This program successfully strengthened the entrepreneurial capacity of the PKK members by leveraging local potential through functional food innovation.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was implemented to support the development of Cirarab Tourism Village, Tangerang Regency, through the use of community-based digital promotional media. The main problems faced by partners include limited understanding of MSMEs in digital marketing and a lack of promotional facilities for tourism villages. The objectives of this activity are to increase the capacity of MSME actors and PKK women's groups in utilizing technology for product promotion and to strengthen the digital identity of the village. The implementation methods included field observations, program formulation, five training sessions (business model canvas, product label design, product photography, digital marketing, and product diversification), assistance in creating a village website, and the production of a tourism profile video. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding and skills in the five training aspects, with achievements ranging from 87% to 95.7%, as well as the creation of an official website and profile video Cirarab Tourism Village. This program has had an impact on strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs, increasing digital literacy, and establishing sustainable promotional tools. In the future, periodic assistance is needed to ensure that the management of websites, online stores, and promotional content remains consistent and keeps up with digital trends.

Abstract

BUMDes Dadirejo possesses significant economic potential through its four business units, yet its development is hindered by limited marketing access and low human resource capacity in financial management. This community service project aims to elevate the BUMDes clustering status from the "developing" (berkembang) category to "independent" (mandiri) through workshops and continuous mentoring. The interventions include digital marketing management training (Instagram and TikTok), e-catalog registration for market expansion, and the standardization of financial reports, covering balance sheets, income statements, statements of changes in equity, and cash flow statements. Results show that the BUMDes management achieved an 85% mastery level in financial reporting. Furthermore, the provision of marketing equipment grants successfully encouraged the formation of new business units and strengthened the sales infrastructure. This strategy proved effective in enhancing accountability and market reach, serving as a key step toward achieving the criteria for an Independent BUMDes.

Abstract

Karang Ria Beach is the sole natural beach in urban Manado, serving as both a public space and a primary livelihood source for local fishermen. Recently, the Tongkole Fishermen Group has faced declining catches, unstable income, and weak management and marketing capacities. This community partnership program aims to empower the group through an andragogic approach involving training, appropriate technology implementation, and continuous mentoring. Interventions focused on creative economy innovations, including cultural performances, creative competitions, decorative installations, and digital marketing strategies. The results showed a significant increase in management capacity and the emergence of new income streams, evidenced by a 520% rise in economic transaction activities. This program proves that integrating cultural creativity and marketing innovation can effectively revitalize coastal economies. Future recommendations include establishing cooperatives and diversifying experience-based tourism to sustain the program's impact.

Abstract

High school graduates in Indonesia's coastal areas, including Agam Regency, face high unemployment rates due to limited access to career information and curriculum gaps. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers at SMAN 1 Tanjung Mutiara in providing career guidance through digital module-based training using a Training of Trainers (ToT) approach. Twenty-two teachers participated in the training, which was evaluated using the Kirkpatrick model at the reaction and learning levels. The results indicated high participant satisfaction regarding the training materials and facilities. Furthermore, 81% of participants showed an increase in knowledge, supported by the Wilcoxon signed-rank test results showing a significant statistical increase (p < .001). The success of this program proves that digital module-based teacher training is effective in enhancing students' career readiness and expanding access to higher education in coastal regions.

Abstract

Ngarum Village has a significant grain production potential of 43,459 tons per year, yet farmers face challenges with traditional drying processes that are vulnerable to sudden weather changes. This condition often leads to degraded grain quality and lower market prices. This community service program aims to increase productivity and economic value through the implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based rain detection system. The methods include technical training, appropriate technology implementation, and continuous mentoring. Results indicate that IoT technology successfully maintains grain moisture at an optimal level of 14%, reduces post-harvest losses by 10%, and achieves an 80% adoption rate among farmers. Furthermore, the digitalization of farm management has increased the grain's selling price by 10%. The application of this technology has proven effective in improving post-harvest efficiency, enhancing harvest data accountability, and supporting sustainable farmer welfare.

Abstract

The limited capacity for gender-perspective legal advocacy among young women activists hinders the struggle for women's rights at the local level. The "Women’s Advocacy School" program in Baubau City aims to strengthen legal literacy, advocacy techniques, and collaborative cross-organizational networking. Employing a participatory community development approach, the program included intensive training focused on women’s legal standing, issue analysis, and public communication. The results demonstrated a significant increase in participants' conceptual understanding and self-confidence. Participation dynamics improved markedly, evidenced by critical interactions in forums, with 27% of participants actively engaging as inquisitors and 7% as reflective respondents to complex issues. This success confirms that structured advocacy education models can effectively transform young activists into competent agents of change. The program recommends sustained institutional support to replicate this model and broaden the impact of gender advocacy regionally.

Abstract

Schools located in volcanic disaster-prone areas require high levels of preparedness, yet they are often hindered by a lack of practical training. This community service program aims to enhance the disaster mitigation capacity of the school community at SDN Kecil Munggangsari, Banyumas, situated only 8 km from the summit of Mount Slamet. The implementation utilized a participatory educational approach consisting of two stages: disaster management knowledge transfer and practical self-evacuation simulations for students and teachers. Evaluation results showed a significant surge in disaster literacy and skills. Participants' understanding of mitigation procedures increased from 11% to 100%, while practical simulation experience rose from 6% to 100%. These findings confirm that integrating routine simulations into the educational environment is highly effective in transforming theoretical knowledge into actionable life-saving skills. This program recommends the establishment of a sustainable local mitigation curriculum for schools located in primary volcanic danger zones.

Abstract

MSMEs in Cenrana Village face significant challenges in the modern market due to low product quality standards, weak brand identity, and a lack of business legality. This community service program aims to strengthen local competitiveness through the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The implementation stages involved identifying local assets, product innovation workshops, branding and digital marketing training, and assistance in obtaining Business Identification Numbers (NIB). The results demonstrated a significant increase in the managerial capacity and confidence of the entrepreneurs. Participants successfully optimized raw material selection and more efficient production techniques, created more attractive visual brand identities, and gained a better understanding of online marketing mechanisms. Furthermore, the program facilitated business legality through the issuance of NIBs, providing a foundation for capital access and market expansion. The integration of product innovation and legal compliance has proven effective in transforming rural MSMEs into more professional and competitive business entities.
