Jubaedah Journal managed by Faculty of Teacher Training and Education and published by LP2M, Bina Bangsa University, Indonesia. It is at the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services.

Abstract

This community service activity is a collaborative activity between lecturers and students of the Department of Indonesian language and literature, Gorontalo State University. This activity was carried out on the basis of concern and concern for the existence of Suwawa language as one of the regional languages in Gorontalo province which began to experience degradation. Several studies have shown that the Suwawa language has begun to decline. For this reason, this activity is a form of conservation and revitalization of the Suwawa language. This service was held in Tingkohubu Village, Suwawa district with participants were children between the ages of 3-8 years. The stages of activities include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stages include coordinating with the village government, recruiting participants, to arranging materials and preparing drawing materials. The implementation stage is in the form of giving material using the expository method, guess the picture, and games. The evaluation was conducted to test children's mastery of basic vocabulary of Suwawa language using quiz and door prize methods. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in vocabulary Suwawa language in children. This can be seen from their enthusiasm when answering the quiz to guess the words in the picture

Abstract

This community service was held to increase the interest of young generation in knowing the art tradition, especially ‘wayang’. Wayang hasknown as the ancient tradition and cannot stand with the other modern art traditions, such as; music or movie. Both of music or movies are still considered as high anticipation of young genertations than wayang itself. The role of ‘dalang’ is prominent in creating the great performance that can be enjoyed by all generations. There are many ways in playing ‘wayang’ in order to make a great performace, one of them is ‘cepengan’. ‘Cepengan’ is the technique of holding ‘wayang’. There are fours variations of ‘cepengan’: (1) ‘Cepengan Methit’, is described like a flying bird. (2) ‘cepengan jagal’ is used to hold animal wayang, (3) ‘cepengan gepok’, is used in playing wayang with big size, like the role of “buta’ or ‘raksasa’, (4) cepengan genu’, is used to play wayang with small size, such as; Arjuna, and Kresna. This community service was held for six months with four meetings. The participant of this community service are elementary school age children with total 17 participants

Abstract

The important components of the learning process at school include the methods, strategies and learning approaches used by teachers. However, in reality there are several problems to achieve the expected goals.  The problems that arise at SDN Tubokarto are that students feel bored and unfocused during teaching and learning activities, in addition, the learning process in the classroom is only dominant on the teacher. The research was conducted in grade V at SDN 1 Tubokarto and grade V at SDN 3 Tubokarto by examining the peer teaching method which aims to provide changes to teaching and learning activities. With this method, it is also expected to be able to improve student learning outcomes and provide many opportunities for students to participate in teaching and learning activities in the classroom, especially in science subjects. The method used is that this research uses experimental research by applying True experimental design. This research applies the post-test only control design type. The results obtained in this test are the error rate of 0.002, which means that the significance value is less than 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Which means that learning with the peer teaching method is effectively used in improving learning outcomes in science subjects

Abstract

Poor public transportation management makes motorcycles as the most practical and economical choice of transportation for both individuals and families. However, the ease of obtaining a motorbike is not accompanied by awareness of driving well and safely by the rider. Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide safety riding training for vocational school students who are over 17 years old, so they will have more comprehensive riding skills. The activity methods were organized through training, simulations, and practice of safe driving techniques. The training was hold on 11 and 18 May 2024 at the Honda Astra Motor training center, Sudirman street, Yogyakarta. It was attended by 26 students of SMKN 3 Yogyakarta. During the training, participants receive material about safety riding, simulate driving a vehicle using a riding simulator, and riding a motorbike on the safety riding circuit at the training location. The results of the training also showed that participants had increased understanding of safety riding, especially knowledge of speed limits for riding motorbikes in urban areas and the most effective and safe braking techniques to reduce motorbike speed

Abstract

Mental or psychiatric disorders can be experienced by anyone, and require greater attention in society. The prevalence of mental health disorders characterized by symptoms such as depression and anxiety in people over 15 years of age is around 6.1% of Indonesia's population or equal to 11 million people. Based on this, community service in the form of socializing the importance of maintaining mental health in teenagers was carried out at one of the schools, namely PGRI 4, Vocational School Serang City. This socialization was carried out on May 15 2024 with a total of 30 students as respondents. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The stages of this socialization activity consist of planning, implementation and evaluation. The instruments used in this research are the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) and an evaluation questionnaire. The SDQ results showed that the strength score was within the normal limit and the difficulty score was at the borderline (37%) but peer problems were in an abnormal condition. This is due to a lack of socialization with peers both at home and at school. The provision of mental health material carried out by the "Aku Temanmu" counseling house and a Bina Bangsa University lecturer went well and smoothly. At the end of the activity, an evaluation was carried out to show the success of the seminar, the results showed a positive value for each question item

Abstract

Mastery of science and technology is important in building competitiveness in order to produce value-added products and provide competitive advantages. Mastery of science and technology can be improved through various sciences, one of which is natural science (IPA). Natural science is a collection of knowledge and processes carried out by scientists in conducting investigations to obtain explanations about natural phenomena that occur in everyday life. One step in having the strategy in question is mastering the techniques for presenting material or what is usually called teaching methods. The use of practical teaching aids helps make it easier for teachers to explain a concept to students. Nathania Palangka Raya Middle School is located in the center of Palangka Raya city, Central Kalimantan Province. Based on the survey results, science learning carried out by teachers still uses conventional methods and without the help of learning media. Apart from that, teachers still dominate the science learning process. One way to improve the abilities of teachers and students in the field of science requires training and use of science teaching aids. The result of this training is that students are enthusiastic about participating in activities organized by the service team. In addition, students' understanding of the material taught using science teaching aids is better than without using science teaching aids and also increasing teacher abilities, will contribute to the improvement students' understanding of science concepts

Abstract

Competency improvement is very necessary for SMK students for accounting majors in preparing financial statements based on the MYOB application. To improve these competencies, training is needed to hone students' skills in preparing financial statements based on the MYOB application.  The purpose of this service activity is to improve the competence of SMK Karya Nasional students in preparing financial statements based on the MYOB application. General output of the training conducted to students of SMK Karya Nasional Kuningan in improving skills and competencies in the preparation of financial statements based on the MYOB-19 application as a provision to face accounting competency tests and the world of work. Participants who attended this activity were 30 people consisting of students majoring in Accounting at SMK Karya Nasional. The methods used in the implementation of service are training using technical information presentation and simulation methods as well as mentoring with individual and classical approaches. The service will be held on August 22, 2023. The results of this activity improve the skills of grade XI students majoring in accounting at SMK Karya Nasional to compile financial statements using the MYOB application. This is evidenced by their ability to enter transactions into the MYOB application

Abstract

Tea that has been brewed leaves a residue or residue which we know as tea dregs. Natural ingredients which contain many bioactive compounds that can be used as antiseptics and antibacterials are found in these tea dregs. One preparation that can be made by utilizing natural compounds from tea dregs is handwash. This preparation is a preparation that is used as a hand wash to obtain maximum hand hygiene after cleaning the hands. The aim of this service activity is to provide education and skills in making handwash from tea dregs. Tea dregs are used as an effort to make greater use of residual natural materials (waste) so that they can be of maximum benefit in processing them. The method used in this activity is socialization, approach and practice in making handwash. The target of this activity is students of SMK Muhammadiyah Larangan Brebes. The result of this PKM is that education and training has been carried out on making handwash using tea dregs. This activity, which was attended by 199 students and 7 teachers, is expected to increase knowledge and skills specially making handwash preparations from tea dregs

Abstract

Senior high school is a preparation period for students to have adequate skills to face challenges, whether in college, working, or when entering society. To strengthen understanding and improve abilities of students, it needs to be supported by technology-based facilities. Fithrah Insani Baleendah Bandung Integrated Islamic High School is an educational institution that focuses on the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in the form of the Merdeka curriculum, with a typical FI curriculum, especially in learning Al-Quran, English, and computers, using multimedia and multi-methods. In the Merdeka curriculum, it is easy for students to obtain free sources of knowledge so that they are expected to be able to sort out good things to apply. The use of technology, namely Microsoft Excel, among students is important because it is useful for applying entrepreneurial insight in terms of cost accounting knowledge. Practically, the role of Microsoft Excel is being able to automate various production cost calculations, so that it will have a significant impact regarding increasing knowledge of students in using office tools and also their implementation in calculating costs
