Rengganis Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram yang memuat artikel-artikel ilmiah mengenai berbagai aktivitas pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Abstract

Observations and interviews conducted with elementary school teachers in cluster V Lingsar obtained the result that teachers were still evaluating manually using paper. Teachers need practical and effective evaluation media to save time on correcting answers. Reflecting on this need, community service activities are carried out to provide training on using the google form as a practical and effective evaluation medium. The activity participants consisted of 20 elementary school teachers in cluster V Lingsar. Activities consist of delivery of material and practice. All participants gave a positive response to the activities carried out because these activities were in accordance with the needs of the participants.

Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Cluster II Gerung District are still very rare in using visual aids in teaching mathematical concepts. As a result, students have difficulty understanding abstract mathematical material, while elementary school children are still at the concrete thinking stage. Therefore, this activity aims to train and assist elementary school teachers in Cluster II Gerung District in implementing Kopermatik teaching aids (Mathematics Game Boxes) for classroom learning. The training method includes discussions and demonstrations in making and using Kopermatik teaching aids as well as simulations in utilizing the Kopermatik teaching aids. This service activity was carried out at an elementary school in Gerung District, with 18 elementary school teachers participating. The results of the data analysis show that the teachers participating in the activity: (1) are enthusiastic and communicative in participating in the activity, (2) can practice making Kopermatik mathematics teaching aids with quite good and varied results, (3) give positive response to the usefulness of Kopermatik teaching aids, and (4) more than 65% of teachers were able to answer each evaluation question correctly

Abstract

the engagement activity begins with the development of technology and communication, as well as the high demand for mathematics learning media by teachers. On the other hand, the quality of education, particularly in junior high schools, is still low. Teachers' competence, especially in media usage and development, is also low. Therefore, a workshop on media development will be conducted to enhance teachers' competence and the availability of learning media. The implementation methods for this engagement activity include material presentations, demonstrations, practical exercises, group discussions, and evaluation with feedback. The results of this engagement activity show that the majority of junior high school teachers in Central Lombok believe that the use of Geogebra and augmented reality in mathematics learning has the potential to improve students' understanding of concepts, interest, motivation, creativity, and learning outcomes. Teachers also acknowledge the importance of their role in effectively integrating this technology. Thus, the use of Geogebra and augmented reality-based learning media can provide positive benefits in enhancing the quality of mathematics education in schools. It is important to consider contextual factors and readiness when implementing Geogebra and augmented reality. The utilization of technology, especially Geogebra and augmented reality, should be tailored to the needs, availability of resources, and characteristics of each educational level.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 13 Makassar is one of the schools in Makassar that still uses manual information systems. For example school announcements or registration are still done manually, via notice boards. This has an impact on financing that is expensive, less effective and uneconomical. This service activity aims to implement a school profile information system at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar so that later it can be used as a support for disseminating information related to SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. This system is expected to make it easier for the school to provide school information, both school announcements and information that can be accessed by the general public. Abstrak SMA Negeri 13 Makassar merupakan salah satu sekolah di Makassar yang masih menggunakan sistem informasi secara manual. Misalnya pengumuman sekolah ataupun pendaftaran masih dilakukan secara manual, lewat papan pengumuman. Hal ini berdampak terhadap pada pembiayaan yang mahal, kurang efektif dan tidak ekonomis. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan sebuah sistem informasi profil sekolah pada SMA Negeri 13 Makassar sehingga nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai pendukung untuk menyebarluaskan informasi tekait dengan sekolah SMA Negeri 13 Makassar Sistem ini diharapkan agar mempermudah pihak sekolah dalam memberikan informasi sekolah baik pengumuman sekolah maupun informasi yang dapat diakses masyarakat umum.

Abstract

Chaff waste which has no economic value will become of high value after being converted into rice bran through the milling process. Rice bran is very much in demand because it provides many benefits. The abundant and abundant availability of husk waste and only being left and burned is of course a problem due to the lack of information on utilizing this waste. By processing rice husk waste, it can be used as animal feed for boiler chicken and free-range chicken rations for residents who have poultry such as chickens. Furthermore, bran which is a by-product of the rice milling process can also be a staple food with high nutritional value. Bran has a high nutritional content, and so far only often used as animal feed can also be consumed with various properties, such as having a high content of B vitamins namely thiamine, niacin and B6 which play an important role in energy production, cardiovascular health and preventing depression It is also considered as a source of natural fiber. In order to be able to utilize the abundant rice husk waste, an appropriate technology design is carried out in processing rice husk waste in the Wanasigra village community into various alternative results of processing this waste to support food security. The results and outputs of community service activities for the food security scheme (PBM-KP) for the Wanasigra Village community, namely residents becoming more independent, residents can maintain the food security of their families, residents and farmer groups gain knowledge through coaching and counseling in utilizing the results from the design of rice husk waste processing technology , providing assistance to target partners to be more independent in processing rice husk waste, food availability, earning additional income for their families. The method used in the service is through counseling, discussion, mentoring and introduction and design of technology to marketing through agricultural experts appointed by external parties. Sales are facilitated by the appointed chairman to distribute to other areas outside the Wanasigra village.

Abstract

Sidemen Lauq Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Lembah Sari Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. The houses of the residents of this hamlet do not yet reflect healthy homes; the houses are close together, seem damp, there is not enough sunlight, the animal cages are close to the residents' houses, daily living needs use Sidemen River water, defecation in the river, and throwing rubbish in the drainage channel. The aim of this outreach activity is to provide residents with an understanding of the importance of healthy homes and a healthy environment. The method used in this counseling is a presentation using PowerPoint slides and interactive discussions. The implementation of community service was carried out for one day on August 28, 2023. Residents were enthusiastic about attending counseling. This is because the male residents are farmers and planters who are still resting after returning from work, while the female residents are housewives. The implementation of the counseling went well and smoothly. The outreach activities increase the knowledge of the residents of Sidemen Lauq Hamlet regarding healthy homes and make the residents of Sidemen Lauq Hamlet aware of the importance of healthy homes. With this outreach, it can become a medium for health promotion, which is expected to have a positive impact on increasing knowledge among the community, especially about healthy homes.

Abstract

Hydrometeorological disasters are disasters caused by damage to the system in the hydrological cycle, thereby affecting the stability of climate conditions and water reserves on the earth's surface. Hydrometeorological disasters include droughts, floods, storms, forest fires, landslides, cyclones, cold waves and heat waves. On December 6 2021 several areas in West Lombok Regency were affected by flooding caused by extreme weather. One of the areas affected is Lembah Sari Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. From the geographical conditions of Lembah Sari Village, it has a high potential for hydrometeological disasters. For this reason, the Community Service Team for the Civil Engineering Study Program (Prodi) at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram carried out outreach related to hydrometeorological disaster mitigation in Lembah Sari Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. The method used is counseling with material presentation sessions and question and answer discussions. The activity will be held on August 28 2023. The extension activity can run well and smoothly as seen from the enthusiasm of the people in listening to the presentation of the material which is then followed by a question and answer session.

Abstract

The use of media can help teachers to explain abstract mathematical concepts so students can more easily understand the material provided. However, teachers in elementary schools in Cluster IV, Sekarbela subdistrict, have difficulty using mathematics media or teaching aids and HOTS-based evaluation. This is because almost all teachers rarely use mathematics teaching aids in their classroom and they don't have props or they do but don't know how to use it. Therefore, teachers need to be empowered to implement HOTS-based teaching aids and evaluations by providing training. The training methods include discussions and demonstrations in using mathematics teaching aids as well as simulations in the use of HOTS-based teaching aids and evaluation in mathematics learning in the classroom. This service activity was carried out at an elementary school in Sekarbela District, with 18 elementary school teachers participating. Evaluation of activities is carried out by post-test. The results show that the teachers participating in the activity: (1) are enthusiastic and active in participating in the activity, (2) can practice using mathematics and GeoGebra teaching aids well, (3) give a positive response to the usefulness of teaching aids or learning media, and (4) able to describe at least 5 geometric shapes correctly on the post-test given

Abstract

The utilization of digital technology in the era of Industry 4.0 provides significant benefits, especially in the tourism and culinary sectors. Digital branding, which creates product identity through technology, is crucial in promoting products and creating a positive perception in society. Training institutions such as Khiara Training Center play a role in imparting skills to the community. The use of digital marketing by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can expand their marketing reach nationally and internationally. Graphic design, including infographic design, involves arranging graphic elements for effective visual communication. The Canva application, a drag-and-drop-based design tool, is an effective solution for product branding and graphic design. The implementation methods of the outreach activities involve monologous methods for content delivery and dialogic methods through discussions. The preparation phase includes problem understanding, collecting reference materials, and scheduling. The execution phase involves a two-day training, with the presentation of Canva's features on the first day and hands-on practice on the second day. Evaluation and final reporting are used to assess participants' understanding and the outcomes of the activities. This initiative successfully trained 20 participants from various educational backgrounds in using the Canva application for product branding design

Abstract

The profession of SD/MI teachers as professional educators who act as facilitators in learning requires their creativity to explore the potential of learning resources and media in their environment in order to teach their students in a quality manner. In order to become a good facilitator, elementary school teachers are expected to be able to equip themselves with insight and skills in developing the design and creation of learning media so that teachers can carry out their role well. The reality shows that MI teachers in Jombok sub-district, Jombang Regency generally experience difficulties in improving the quality and effectiveness of learning in their respective elementary schools. This situation is caused by a lack of knowledge, creativity, knowledge possessed by teachers and the facilities and infrastructure in schools are unable to support students' activeness and enjoyment in learning. Teachers lack insight and skills in designing creative learning, and making students active and enjoyable in learning. Therefore, supervisors and school principals at MI Miftahul Ulum are holding creative and fun learning design training for MI teachers in Jombok District, Jombang Regency with the hope of increasing the effectiveness and quality of the learning process at MI Miftahul Ulum and ultimately supporting the achievement of educational goals.
