Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of problem solving methods on thematic learning on learning outcomes of fifth grade students at Pontianak Elementary School 66 Pontianak City. The research method used was an experimental research quasi experimental design, with the experimental design of nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was all students of class V SD Negeri 66 Pontianak Kota. The sample is determined by total sampling technique, to determine the experimental class and the control class randomly selected by drawing the VB class as many as 36 students as the control class and VA as many as 37 students as the experimental class. Data collection techniques using measurement techniques. The instrument used was a test sheet in the form of multiple choice learning totaling 50 questions. Based on calculations obtained the average post-test learning outcomes of the control class 66.61 and the average post-test learning outcomes of the experimental class 73.62 so that the post-test data of 3.936 was obtained with a table for the significance level (α = 5% and dk = 37 + 36-2 = 71) of 1.996, because tcount> ttable then Ha is accepted, this proves that there is an effect of problem solving methods on thematic learning towards learning outcomes of class V students of 66 Pontianak Elementary School. From the calculation of the effect size obtained by 0.63 including the criteria of being, so it can be concluded that the method of problem solving in thematic learning has a moderate effect on learning outcomes of students of class V 66 State Primary School Pontianak City.                                     Keywords :  Learning Outcomes ,  Problem Solving Methods, and Thematic Learning

Abstract

AbstrackThe background of this research was to found out the value of patriotism in Kidung dari Negeri Apung Novel by Arsyad Salam. The method in this research was descriptive method in qualitative approach. The approach conducted in this research was literature sociology approach that focused on text sociology. The result in this result were: (1) the loyalty value to homewotn, including not forgetting about hometown, choose to back to hometown, developing physical and psychological, applied the developed things; (2) the courage element to save the hometown, including participated in build harmony and unity, implemented rights and obligations, carried the values; (3) the sacrificing element for hometown, including ready to sacrifice with whole body and soul, contributed in the development of prosperity, believe that the sacrifice is not meaningless; (4) the love element for hometown including know and understand about the circumstances, save and conserve the tradition, culture, and values, gave contribution through the improvement and prosperity for hometown. (5) an implementation plan had been developed about the value of patriotism in the novel for Indonesia language learning at Grade XII on High School.Key words: value, patriotism, novel

Abstract

                         AbstractThis research was motivated there uniqueness The people of Medan Jaya Village, Simpang Hilir district, Kayong Utara Regency used their waiting time for the durian to fall by playing music and dancing, emerging a local art called Nyantuk Durian. The study aims at describing the structure and function of Nyantuk Durian music. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a musicology approach. The data were collected using interviews, observations, and documentation. Along with the interview guide, observation, and documentation sheets, the researcher acted as the main research instrument. The data validation used were extended observation and source triangulation. The results showed that Nyantuk Durian art did not function as a ritual medium but as a medium of entertainment, information, and education. The music instruments used were gambus, accordion, tambourine, beruas, cymbal, and tambourine. The melody in the gambus and accordion comprises a limited scale comprising five sentences. The beats pattern on tambourines, cymbals, tambourines, and beruas has a simple, short, and repetitive pattern. Mainly functioned as entertainment, Nyantuk Durian has a broad structure of music. In conclusion, the government and the local community should jointly preserve and develop Nyantuk Durian art to be introduced to the next generation.Keywords: Structure, Music, Nyantuk Durian.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to find out student’s ability in solving the graph of work done by gas. The method of this research was a descriptive survey. 134 students of 12th grade in MAN 2 Pontianak were chosen as the sample of this research by using saturation sampling technique. Open-ended multiple choice items test (4 questions) and essay test (4 questions) were used to represent three indicators of student’s ability, and unstructured interview was also used to find out the factors that caused students’ error. Based on the analysis data, was found that the average of the ability of all sample in solving the graph of work done by gas was 39,03 (categorized as low). Based on the result of Mann Whitney U-Test, was found there is a significant difference (zcount: 2,73 >ztable: 0,997), that students with better mathematical ability (high group) have better ability in solving question on the graph of work done by gas than students with lower mathematical ability (low group). The students who were unable to solve the graph of work done by gas, were caused by low conceptual ability, low spatial ability, low remembering ability, low mathematical ability, and students’ lack of interest in the subject. These findings are expected to be the references to improve the students’ ability in solving the graph of work done by gas. Keywords:  Descriptive, Graph, Work Done by Gas, Student’s Ability.

Abstract

AbstractThe problem discussed in this study is how agility, speed and juggling of the futsal dribble skills of futsal extracurricular participants in SMAN 3 Pontianak. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of agility, speed and juggling of the futsal dribble skils of futsal extracurricular participants of SMAN 3 Pontianak. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method, which is a survey method with collaborative techniques, research using this method aims to determine the relationship of agility, speed and juggling of futsal dribble skills in futsal extracurricular participants of SMAN 3 Pontianak. With a sample size of 20 people. This research technique uses tests and measurements, with a grating instrument measuring agility, speed and juggling of futsal dribble skills. Data analysis uses correlation. From the analysis of data obtained manually, it can be concluded that in general there is a significant relationship between agility, speed and juggling of futsal dribble skills in futsal extracurricular participants of SMAN 3 Pontianak. With the results of the analysis of the multiple correlation coefficient R between agility, speed and juggling ability to the results of the ability of dribble is R of 0,851. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the drill learning method assisted audio media on children story listening skills of fifth grade students on Public Elementary School 09 East Pontianak. This study uses an exsperimental method with a quasi exsperimental design of non equvalent control group design. The population is all students from five classes totaling 96 students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are measurement techniques, with data collection tools are multiple choice tests. The result of data analysis are, the average post-test experimental class = 79,77 and average post-test result of the control class = 72,5. Based on the results of the t-test calculation obtained by tcount 2.73>ttable 1.98, then Ha is accepted, which means there is a significant influence on the use of drill learning method assisted audio media. From the calculation of the effect size (d), obtained (d) of 0,69 with medium criteria.Means the use of drill learning method assisted audio media has a medium influence on children story listening skills of fifth grade students on Public Elementary School 09 East Pontianak. Keywords: Audio Media, Drill Learning Method, Listening Skills

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of internet utilization on the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. The source of the data in this study were 50 XI IPS students. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence on the use of internet in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. Based on the calculation of hypothesis testing that there is a significant positive effect, which is indicated. With a simple linear regression calculation, the equation Y = 36.493 + 0.300X is obtained. The magnitude of the effect of variable X on variable Y (coefficient of determination) is 0.279. Which means that the percentage of internet utilization on the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS in economics is 27.9% while the rest is influenced by other variables. Therefore it is concluded in general that the use of internet class XI IPS SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak is included in the good category. It can be seen from the completeness of student learning by 76%.Keywords: Internet Utilization, Economic Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

AbstractTraditional Home Appliances are equipment or various tools available at home and used by the community according to their respective traditions. This research focuses in the semantic field, namely analyzing data on traditional household appliances based on the form, lexical meaning, cultural meaning, and semantic role of traditional Malay household vocabulary in Singkawang, especially in Semelagi Kecil Kelurahan. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data source in this study is the Singkawang dialect Malay spoken by native speakers of the Semelagi Kecil Kelurahan. The techniques used in this study are listening, competent, note taking, and recording. Data collection tools in this study are interview guides, notebooks, stationery and mobile phones. Based on research conducted, researchers have collected 65 vocabularies of traditional household appliances in the Singkawang dialect Malay. Overall data obtained from the interview process and video. The results of data analysis in the form of classified based on the name of the tool in the form of phonetic writing, then each tool is described in tabular form. The results of data obtained based on the lexical meaning are analyzed by referential analysis techniques or see a reference source in the form of a dictionary. The results of the data obtained based on cultural meanings were analyzed by means of cultural context analysis techniques in which this analysis presents the philosophy of each piece of equipment. Abstract

AbstractIsolated is a child who does not have friends in the association because he or she does not have the interest to participate in group activities as a social process. This happens because of the lack of social attitudes of isolated students. Every student in MAN 2 Pontianak is expected to have a social attitude but there are still isolated students. In general, this study aims to obtain a picture of “Isolated Students in Man 2 Pontianak in 2019”. (1) Internal factors that affect students who are isolated in MAN 2 Pontianak. (2) External factors that affect students who are isolated in MAN 2 Pontianak. (3) Impacts that occur from students who are isolated in MAN 2 Pntianak. (4) Assistance that has been done by guidance and conseling teacher for students who are isolated in MAN 2 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method and the form of research is survey research. The subjects in this study were five students and their close friends and one guidance and counseling teacher. This study used a qualitative approach and data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation and sociometry. Based on the results of the study, the internal factors of isolated students are (1) Students cannot adjust themselves, (2) Reserved, (3) Introverted. External factors, namely (1) Rejection from groups, (2) Neglected from groups. The impacts of isolation are (1) Always alone, (2) Students’ value decreased, (3) Cannot socialize properly. Assistance provided by guidance and counseling teacher in dealing with isolated cases are (1) Providing Classical Services, (2) Providing Invidual Counseling, (3) providing group guidance (4) Providing Group Counseling.Keywords: External Factors, Internal Factors, Isolated Impacts, Students

Abstract

AbstractIn learning a language we need to understand many aspects of that language, especially mandarin which if the pronunciation is wrong will have different meanings. In madarin there are many different types of pronunciation. In Mandarin and Indonesian have the same consonants, but the pronunciation method is different. The result is that Indonesians against consonants in Indonesian b-p, d-t and g-k often don't fit the pronunciation because they are influenced by mother languange, for example: Indonesian students when they learn mandarin’s pronouncation like b-p, d-t and g-k in Indonesian, they will read it with Indonesian pronounce,even Mandarin’s pronouncation are different. Mandarin and Indonesian both have inhibitory consonants. In Mandarin there are aspirational and non-aspirational sounds, in Indonesian there are "voiced" and "voiceless". This includes differences in mandarin and Indonesian. The equivalent of Mandarin and Indonesian they use the alphabet to express a word.
