Abstract

Goat and sheep cultivation has traditionally been implemented from generation to generation by breeders cultivating goats and sheep in the cooperative "Rukun Raharjo Sentosa" in Tanjungsari hamlet, Gunungsari Village, Beji District, Pasuruan Regency. The maintenance system implemented so far is a system for providing animal feed, a system for managing and utilizing goat and sheep manure, as well as a system for managing sheep wool. The ITS community service team conducted a focus group discussion with the management of the goat and sheep cultivation cooperative regarding the problems currently being faced, namely the limited availability of animal feed due to the long dry season and goat and sheep waste that is not managed properly. The aim and target of this service activity is to empower goat and sheep farmers to obtain quality feed and manure that is well utilized. By planning and realizing appropriate technology that suits these problems, the community service team and KKN students carry out outreach and assistance so that farmers can independently manage animal feed and manure waste well, thus creating a socially intelligent village.

Abstract

Rahtawu Village is traversed by the Gelis River, one of the major rivers originating in the Muria Mountains. The village’s location beneath the peak of Mount Muria (29) offers picturesque landscapes in the surrounding hills, attracting visitors from outside the village. However, the community has yet to maximize the potential of this natural beauty. The objective of this community service is twofold. Firstly, to inform about the regulations concerning the Gelis River buffer zones in Rahtawu Village, Kudus Regency. Secondly, to recommend ecotourism assistance in the Muria region, particularly in Rahtawu Village, Kudus Regency. This assistance employs a policy support approach, directed group discussions, and the creation of posters. Following these assistance activities, it can be concluded that, after receiving explanations from the River Basin Management Agency (BBWS) Pemali Juana, the Rahtawu Village government, along with village officials and other group members, now understands the root issues regarding the use of Gelis River buffer zones in Rahtawu Village, Kudus Regency. They express a desire to manage ecotourism in their area.

Abstract

Violence can occur in children at school, including physical, psychological and sexual violence. The same problem was also encountered at SMP YLPI Pekanbaru. The teachers feel that the civic education and moral education lessons provided are not capable of forming students' characteristics so that they avoid acts of violence, whether as perpetrators or victims. Based on discussions with the principal of SMP YLPI Pekanbaru, the problem found was that several students committed acts of violence that led to conflict, both verbally and physically. The solution offered is an anti-violence program in schools aimed at teachers and students. “The aim of this activity is to make YLPI Pekanbaru Middle School a school that is safe and free from violence against children.” The method for this program consists of material creation, counseling and evaluation stages. “The results of this activity are in the form of increased insight and knowledge of students and teachers regarding violent behavior in schools and how to prevent and overcome it.”

Abstract

Humans play a crucial role as the primary resource in national development endeavors. Presently, Indonesia's demographic makeup is characterized by a predominant population within the productive age range (15-65 years), encompassing adolescents. The adolescent phase signifies a transition from childhood to adulthood, with nutritional intake emerging as a pivotal factor influencing adolescent health and productivity. Ensuring teenagers receive optimal nutrition and accurate information is essential for supporting their growth and development. Without preventive measures, nutritional issues in adolescence may persist into adulthood. The objective of this outreach initiative is to delineate the nutritional status of eighth-grade students at YPPK Santu Paulus Middle School. This undertaking involves anthropometric assessments and educational interventions aimed at enhancing awareness of nutritional status among adolescents. The findings revealed the participation of 91 students, and the measurements indicated that 39 individuals experienced malnutrition, 31 had a normal nutritional status, 12 were overweight, 7 exhibited level I obesity, and 2 demonstrated level II obesity.
