Abstract

This community service program aims to support the digital transformation and strengthen business governance of Lucky Fingers Cafe as a growing micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) through an integrated approach based on green business principles. As the business expands in scale, customer volume, and operational complexity, challenges arise in managing business processes, financial recording, service quality, and environmental responsibility. The assistance was carried out through mentoring and training in the utilization of information systems, improvement of management practices, strengthening of simple accounting records, and recommendations for the use of environmentally friendly packaging. The methods included initial needs assessment, implementation of mentoring sessions, practical guidance, and evaluation of business practices. The results show an improvement in the partner’s understanding and application of digital tools, more structured financial management, better operational organization, and increased awareness of sustainable business practices. The adoption of green packaging is expected to enhance the business image and align the enterprise with environmentally conscious consumer trends. This program demonstrates that integrated assistance combining digitalization, governance strengthening, and sustainability can effectively support the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs.

Health education is provided through interactive lectures, discussions and video media. Evaluation was carried out using a knowledge questionnaire for 40 respondents before and after education. (4) Results: The pre-test results showed that the majority of respondents had a level of knowledge in the poor category (75%). After being given education, there was an increase in knowledge, shown by the increase in respondents in the good category to 82.5% and there were no more respondents with poor knowledge. (5) Conclusion: Health education is effective in increasing public knowledge regarding cardiac emergency preparedness and can be a promotive-preventive strategy in primary health services.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the creative entrepreneurship of the people of Kwangsan Village, Sidoarjo Regency through digital marketing education. This activity was motivated by the suboptimal use of digital media by village communities in marketing creative business products, even though the potential for local resources and financial capital was relatively adequate. The method used is a descriptive-participatory approach through Participatory Action Research (PAR) by involving the people of Kwangsan Village from the stage of needs assessment, planning, implementation, to evaluation. Education is focused on the use of social media, marketplaces, and digital content strategies as a means of marketing creative businesses. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in digital marketing, which had an impact on increasing the readiness of the community in developing creative businesses based on local potential in Kwangsan Village. This activity contributes to strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and has the potential to become a model for sustainable village community empowerment in Sidoarjo Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was to raise awareness among the people of West Rejosari Village about the importance of environmental preservation in response to the low level of environmental awareness and improper waste management practices commonly found in rural areas through seminars and outreach. An interactive seminar designed as an educational counseling activity with speakers from the Batang Regency Environmental Agency was conducted, incorporating interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and basic household waste management practices. The activity involved 19 participants consisting of women from the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), youth from the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), and local community leaders. Evaluation was carried out using a structured questionnaire with yes/no indicators. The results showed that all respondents (100%) stated that the material was easy to understand, clearly delivered, relevant to their daily lives, and provided new environmental knowledge. Participants also reported increased motivation to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors and greater concern for environmental issues. Although the number of participants was limited, these findings indicate that seminar-based environmental counseling contributes practically to improving community knowledge and awareness of environmental conservation.

Abstract

Micro business actors frequently use standard clauses in consumer transactions without fully understanding their legal implications under Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection. This low level of legal awareness may lead to the inclusion of unfair standard clauses that violate consumer rights and expose micro enterprises to potential legal risks. This community service activity aimed to enhance the legal awareness of micro business actors regarding consumer protection, particularly in relation to the lawful use of standard clauses in business contracts. The activity was implemented through legal counseling methods, including lectures, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The materials covered consumer rights and obligations, prohibited standard clauses under consumer protection law, and the importance of balanced contractual relationships. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and awareness, with approximately 70% of participants demonstrating increased knowledge of lawful standard clauses based on pre- and post-activity evaluations. This program is expected to encourage micro business actors to apply fair and legally compliant standard clauses, thereby supporting sustainable and equitable business practices.

Abstract

Child parenting is a crucial aspect in supporting optimal child development; however, it continues to face various challenges, including limited parental knowledge, low family communication skills, and the persistence of violence against children. The Surabaya City Government, in collaboration with the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN), initiated the Sekolah Orang Tua Hebat (SOTH) Program as a family-based educational intervention implemented through the Pusat Pembelajaran Keluarga (PUSPAGA) services. This community service article aims to describe the role of PUSPAGA facilitators in the implementation of parenting socialization and the SOTH Program at DP3APPKB Surabaya City, particularly through the involvement of students from the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) Batch 5 at the neighborhood (Balai RW) level in Margorejo Sub-district. A participatory approach was employed by directly involving students in socialization activities and educational assistance within the community. The results indicate an improvement in parents’ understanding and awareness of positive parenting practices, effective family communication, and the prevention of child and adolescent issues. Furthermore, the involvement of MSIB students strengthened the role of PUSPAGA facilitators as a bridge between government policies and community needs at the local level.

Abstract

The growth and development of MSMEs in Indonesia in the last two years has shown very interesting changes and dynamics, which reflect changes in business patterns, existing consumer behavior and the acceleration of digitalization are very influential. Talking about MSMEs, it is close to the development of food courts in Indonesia with various types of existing categories, ranging from traditional and modern categories which are commonly called food courts. The purpose of this community service activity is to help increase purchase intention and the number of visits to the Wisma SIG Culinary Food Shop (KWSIG). In the journey of the KWSIG Food Court, there are still many things that must be completed before entering the digital world, namely how MSMEs in the Food Courts are able to prepare products with a clear and good identity or we usually call product branding. The method of implementation in this activity began with socialization and then held training with a total of 24 participants which was carried out in Gresik Regency. The result of this activity is that the tenant has a product brand that is ready to be used according to the product being sold.

Abstract

The objective of this community service program is to improve family economic resilience by strengthening Islamic financial literacy and management practices, enabling families to reduce their dependence on non-Islamic loans and develop healthy and sustainable financial habits. This community service program utilizes a Participatory Action Research (PAR) design, positioning the community as the subject of change through a continuous cycle of reflection, action, and reflection to address family dependence on non-Islamic loans. The program was implemented in Limbungan Baru Village, involving 15 partner families through five PAR stages (To Know, To Understand, To Plan, To Act, and To Change) over four months. Data collection techniques included participant observation, focus group discussions (FGDs), interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, thematic categorization, and synthesis of meaning. Validity was strengthened through triangulation and member checking, while upholding participatory ethical principles. This community service program resulted in improved Islamic financial literacy among families, characterized by changes in understanding, attitudes, and financial management practices, particularly in recording, budgeting, and financial decision-making. Dependence on non-Sharia-compliant loans has begun to decline gradually as families are able to control spending and postpone consumer loans through more rational and equitable planning. Furthermore, the PAR process builds collective awareness and community solidarity in addressing economic challenges as a shared, not merely individual, problem. The program still faces limitations in the form of unstable family incomes and the relatively short duration of mentoring, resulting in behavioral changes that are not yet fully distributed and permanent.
