Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of Civic Education (PKn) teachers in utilizing AI-based interactive simulations to foster students’ civic literacy and ethical decision-making skills. The program was implemented through two main stages: (1) the introduction of Artificial Intelligence concepts and their relevance in education, and (2) practical training on integrating AI-based interactive simulations into classroom learning. The results demonstrate that the training improved teachers’ digital literacy, strengthened their pedagogical capacity, and encouraged the adoption of innovative learning media. Consequently, students gained greater opportunities to engage in critical thinking, understand their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and practice ethical decision-making in real-life contexts. This program highlights the strategic role of teacher training in supporting the integration of technology into Civic Education, while also offering implications for broader educational practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out at SMAN 11 Garut with the aim of enhancing students’ speaking skills through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) using the “Speaking with Stimuler” approach. The activity was conducted in two stages, namely the delivery of materials by the service team and a hands-on practice session facilitated by the students. The results show that the integration of AI in speaking practice contributes to improving students’ language abilities, fostering more interactive learning experiences, and reducing repetitive burdens in the teaching process. Despite several challenges such as the need for continuous training and readiness of supporting infrastructure, the program proved effective in increasing students’ enthusiasm and competence. This activity highlights the potential of AI-based learning models as an innovative method to strengthen speaking skills in the context of secondary education. Abstract

Effective performance management and recruitment training are urgently needed for MSMEs. Effective human resource management is crucial for building a strong work team and supporting business sustainability. The integration of performance management and recruitment training is rarely examined as a single program. The training is implemented through interactive lectures, case studies, discussions, simulations, and evaluations. This training employs a participatory and applied approach, prioritizing the active involvement of MSME participants throughout the entire process. The results of the performance management training demonstrate that MSMEs need to develop the skills to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly monitor and evaluate employee performance, and provide constructive feedback. The recruitment process is also a weak point for many MSMEs. Therefore, a sustainable strategy for strengthening MSME human resource capacity, oriented toward increasing productivity, operational efficiency, and business competitiveness amidst increasingly competitive economic challenges, is essential.

Abstract

Lack of training and coaching in this area is a major contributing factor. In today's digital era, MSMEs are required to maintain effective communication not only in person but also through digital platforms such as social media and e-commerce. The training method used in this activity is an educational-participatory approach that positions MSMEs as active participants in the training process, not merely recipients of material. The results of this activity indicate that after the training, there were significant changes in the way participants communicate with customers and business partners. Some participants began to demonstrate a more empathetic, polite, and open attitude when handling consumer complaints. This training provides a foundation for MSMEs in Garut Regency to build reputations and customer loyalty through ethical communication. Therefore, the interactive and experience-based training program significantly supports the learning process for participants with diverse educational backgrounds and business experience.

Abstract

Changing market needs require businesses to not only produce marketable products but also understand consumers, create product identities, and adapt to evolving trends. Limited access to information, limited digital marketing skills, and a lack of training and mentoring also pose significant obstacles to the growth of MSMEs. To address these challenges, business management training is being implemented to improve competencies, particularly for MSMEs. This training is conducted in a structured, phased manner, beginning with a preparation phase that includes identifying MSME needs through surveys and direct interviews. The business management training program for MSMEs has resulted in improved product presentation, including packaging, branding, and promotional narratives. Post-training mentoring is a key factor in the program's success.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of tobacco processing industry players in Garut Regency in human resource management (HRM) as well as to encourage the downstream processing of tobacco products. The activity involved local tobacco entrepreneurs who face the challenge of low local absorption due to the dominance of raw tobacco sales to outside regions. The method applied was face-to-face training held at Kafe Kopi Jaya, Garut, which included lectures, interactive discussions, and Q&A sessions. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ knowledge of competency-based HRM strategies, the importance of a conducive work environment, and sustained managerial support. The conclusion of this activity is that well-structured and relevant HRM training can improve employee competence, productivity, and organizational commitment, thereby supporting the sustainability and competitiveness of the tobacco processing industry in Garut.

Abstract

Given the challenges and needs mentioned above, English language skills training through speaking is a strategic and crucial step for students. This community service activity aims not only to improve their English skills but also to prepare them to face the challenges of an increasingly connected global world. The methods employed include role-playing and group-based projects. The results of this community service activity identified students as possessing English language skills through the CLT method, which plays a role in shifting their learning paradigm from passive and focused on mastering grammatical structures to active, communicative, and meaning-oriented. This training opens new insights into how to learn and use English. English communication skills training through the CLT method successfully equips students with language competencies that are not only theoretical but also practical and contextual. Thus, through this method, students learn to use English as a real-life communication tool that can support academic activities, social life, and prepare them for entering the global workforce.

Abstract

Factual problems in the field are that there are still some MSMEs who upload product photos with poor lighting, inappropriate backgrounds, and without considering design aesthetics and visual identity. This condition indicates the need for educational intervention in the form of training that can help business actors understand the importance of product design as well as basic technical skills such as taking product photos, using simple design applications, and effective visual design principles. The method used in this community service activity is a participatory educational approach through training activities and direct practice focused on improving participants' skills in designing and presenting products visually for digital marketing purposes. The results of the implementation of this community service activity identified that increasing the capacity of MSMEs in designing and presenting products more attractively on e-commerce platforms. An important lesson from this activity is that the digitalization of MSMEs does not always have to start from complex technological aspects, but can start from simple things but have a big impact, such as improving the visual quality of the product. Attractive product design can be an entry point to building a professional business presence in the digital world.

Abstract

Snacking at school is a common practice among students. The availability of snacks in the school environment cannot guarantee that all snacks are healthy. This outreach activity was conducted to increase the knowledge and awareness of students at SDN 1 Kadungora, encouraging them to be wiser in choosing the snacks they consume. Data collection methods included a pre-test and post-test. The material was delivered in the form of a lecture accompanied by PowerPoint slides and printed brochures. The outreach results showed an increase in the percentage of students' understanding of the definition of healthy snacks before the outreach: 82.4% before the outreach and 92.8% after the outreach. For healthy drinks, there was a 10.4% increase in knowledge, and 100% of students understood examples of healthy drinks. This indicates that the outreach activity was successful in educating students.
