Abstract

Post-harvest handling of paddy is very important effort to support increasing national rice production. So far, the main problem faced in post-harvest handling of rice is the high rate of yield loss due to incorrect post-harvest activities. KWT Jaya Mulia is one of the groups that carries out post-harvest rice activities in Suren Village, Ledokombo District, Jember Regency. In carrying out its activities, KWT Jaya Mulia is still hampered by limited knowledge and skills in carrying out post-harvest handling. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of KWT in carrying out post-harvest rice activities. Activities carried out include knowledge dissemination, skills training, mentoring, and evaluation activities. Based on the evaluation of activities that have been carried out, it is known that there has been an increase in the knowledge and skills of KWT in carrying out post-harvest rice activities, which include drying grain, packaging and storing it in the storage warehouse properly according to procedures. Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of MSME actors in Kelurahan Klampis, Surabaya, in implementing digital marketing as a marketing strategy to expand market reach and increase sales. The training includes an introduction to digital marketing, social media-based marketing strategies, and practical use of digital tools for creating promotional content. Additionally, intensive mentoring is conducted to ensure the successful implementation of digital marketing strategies. The evaluation results show that 90% of participants found the training useful, and 80% of participants successfully applied the strategies taught. Some participants reported a sales increase of up to 30% within two weeks after the training. Although there were some challenges, such as limited access to technology and technical skills, this training and mentoring successfully had a positive impact on the participants' business growth. Moving forward, continuous mentoring is needed to optimize the implementation of digital marketing in MSMEs.

Abstract

In order to increase sales optimization and sales through the implementation of a social media-based strategy for branding MSME Active Sports, assistance was carried out as a community service target held by the Surabaya Integrated Science & Technology Institute, WR Supratman University Surabaya, and Dharma Cendika Catholic University Surabaya. Increasingly tight market competition in the swimming equipment and equipment market, MSME Active Sports requires an innovative marketing approach. This community service activity includes creating logos, business cards, Instagram accounts and Linktree to build branding for MSME Active Sports. Marketing via social media is a means of supporting the promotion of Active Sports MSMEs with the hope of expanding market reach and attracting new customers. The results of this community service activity are expected to be able to increase the optimization of sales of MSME Active Sports products and at the same time strengthen a profitable position in market competition. Through this assistance, it is hoped that Active Sports MSMEs will be able to optimize digital marketing strategies and build sustainable branding.

Abstract

The participation of millennials and Gen Z or often called the younger generation in the 2024 election has a crucial role in maintaining the legitimacy and quality of the election. Low political literacy, understanding of the rights and obligations as voters, and apathy are the main challenges in increasing the participation of young voters in the 2024 East Java Pilkada. Voter Socialization and Education activities organized by the East Java DPD Poros Sahabat Nusantara (POSNU) in collaboration with the East Java KPU aim to increase the political awareness of the young generation through an interactive approach. The methods applied include seminars, discussions, and question and answer sessions held in the W.R. University Hall. Supratman Surabaya. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of their role in democracy, with high enthusiasm during the discussion. In addition, this activity makes a real contribution to efforts to increase young voter participation by providing in-depth insight into the election process and its impact on government policy. It is hoped that this activity can encourage the younger generation to become intelligent, critical and responsible voters in choosing leaders with integrity.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the mental health of residents of Banaran Village, Kulon Progo, through the Support Group Communication (SGC) approach. Mental health is an important aspect of improving the community's quality of life but is often overlooked, especially in rural areas. In addition, there is still social stigma and lack of access to mental health services that hinder people from obtaining psychological support. Therefore, the community service team provides a program for the formation and facilitation of support groups that involve villagers as active participants. This activity was carried out at the Banaran Village Hall which was attended by 20 PKK mothers. The activity lasted for 4 hours, starting from the opening session, providing materials, and closing. The Head of the Village opened this activity by providing direction to the PKK mothers and various to the community service team. Then the presentation of materials by the team included mental health education, counseling on support group communication, and the formation of support groups. Finally, the closing activity was carried out with a group photo and the presentation of souvenirs. Based on the results of the interview after the activity, it was found that with this education and support group, residents were able to overcome stress, anxiety, and other psychological problems more effectively, by involving support groups, in this case, the PKK mothers, thus creating a healthier, more productive and mutually supportive environment.

Abstract

Kenakalan remaja di dunia maupun di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mencegah kenakalan remaja melalui KIE audiovisual. Metode kegiatan ini analisa, persiapan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan terdapat peningkatan skor pre-test dan post-test, serta ujia T-Test didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0.008, sehingga dapat disimpulkan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan kegiatan pencegahan kenakalan remaja melalui penguatan spiritual coping melalui komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi (KIE) dengan media audiovisual.

Abstract

Ecological Balance merupakan konsep yang baik untuk diadopsi oleh pemerintah dalam keberlanjutan lingkungan hidup. Mitra dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah masyarakat Kampung Alor Kuda, Darul Iman Terengganu Malaysia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra yakni permasalahan tutupan lahan dan pengelolaan sampah yang belum baik. Dalam penyelesaian masalah tersebut maka tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah pertama terciptanya kesadaran dan perubahan perilaku masyarakat terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Kedua terwujudnya partisipasi aktif dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan. Ketiga terwujudnya peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dan sesi tanya jawab oleh narasumber bersama masyarakat sebagai partisipan. Hasil kegiatan soasialisasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga ekologi. Materi yang disampaikan, yang meliputi pelestarian hutan mangrove, kebersihan kampung, dan pengelolaan sampah mandiri, berhasil memicu diskusi dan tanya jawab yang konstruktif.

Abstract

Penyembelihan hewan kurban merupakan bagian penting dari perayaan Idul Adha. Namun, dalam praktiknya, proses penyembelihan hewan kurban sering kali menghadapi masalah dalam hal keamanan dan kebersihan makanan. Hal ini sangat penting untuk diperhatikan agar makanan yang dihasilkan tidak hanya halal, tetapi juga thayyib, yang berarti aman untuk dikonsumsi. Oleh karena itu, Pusat Studi Halal (PSH) Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (UNUSIA) melakukan pelatihan di beberapa tempat, salah satunya di Pondok Pesantren Mahasiswa Nahdlatul Ulama (PPMNU) di Desa Hambulu, Kecamatan Kemang, Kabupaten Bogor, pada Hari Raya Idul Adha 2024, dengan tujuan agar para santri dan mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai higienitas dalam pengelolaan daging kurban. Kegiatan ini melibatkan kolaborasi dengan mahasiswa UNUSIA dan santri PPMNU, serta dukungan dari PSH UNUSIA. Ada empat langkah dalam metode pendampingan yakni persiapan, sosialisasi, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Terdapat 13 unsur higienis yang menjadi standar penilaian. Hasil dari pendampingan tentang kegiatan higienitas pengolahan daging qurban di PPMNU didapatkan nilai 61,53%. Beberapa hal penting yang belum dipenuhi dalam kegiatan penyembelihannya adalah pemeriksaan ante-mortem dan post-mortem, pembuatan galian limbah hewan kurban, dan pemisahan antara jeroan dan daging dalam proses pengemasan

Abstract

Ababil Group Lamongan is a company that is not only engaged in business, but also has a high commitment to social responsibility. One form of community service carried out is blood donation activities, which aim to help meet the need for blood in the Lamongan area and its surroundings. This activity is held as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and various related parties. Through this blood donation activity, PT. Ababil Group seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of blood donation as a form of concern for others. In addition, this activity is also expected to help patients who need blood transfusions due to various medical conditions. Active participation from employees, partners, and the general public shows that this activity has received a positive response and contributes to building social solidarity. With this blood donation program, PT. Ababil Group Lamongan not only plays a role in the business world, but also becomes part of a real social solution. It is hoped that this activity can continue to take place periodically and provide wider benefits to the community.

Abstract

Mathematics Olympiad is a competition to measure and improve students' mathematics skills. Therefore, guidance and coaching of mathematics olympiad is needed which aims to prepare superior seeds both in terms of material and mental, especially for students at SMP Islam Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu in facing mathematics olympiad. The method of implementing this community service uses the method of material consolidation (25%), practice questions (60%), and interviews or moderation (15%). The stages of community service include planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The results achieved in this community service, namely the development of the national science olympiad (OSN) in the field of mathematics study were 100% implemented and students were very enthusiastic in participating in the development of mathematics olympiad. Students' understanding of the olympiad material and various types of mathematics olympiad questions increased significantly, as seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test, namely 80.2 and 90.35 from each sub-chapter of the olympiad material. Students have a competitive spirit and compete intelligently and students have a reference source in the form of drilling mathematics olympiad questions whose credibility has been tested.
