Abstract

The use of synthetic drugs has potential pose a risk of complications in sufferers of hyperglycemia. WHO recommends the use of traditional medicine to prevent & treat chronic diseases. The problem formulation includes the effectiveness of the original Papuan EESS test in treating hyperglycemia in mice, with a comparison of results at doses of 100.8 mg/kgBB, 50.4 mg/kgBB, and 25.2 mg/kgBB. This research aims to prove effectiveness of native Papuan EESS in treating hyperglycemia with mice & compare the effectiveness at different doses. The research uses an experimental laboratory design. Male mice aged 2 – 3 months with body weight of 20 – 30 grams, divided into five groups: control + glibenclamide 13.39 mg/kgBW, control - NaCMC 1%, native Papuan EESS treatment dose 100.8 mg/kgBW, 50.4 mg/kgBB, and 25.2 mg/kgBB. Alloxan 4.54 mg/kgBW was administered to create hyperglycemia in mice. Extraction used the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. The research results showed that EESS suspension was effective in treating hyperglycemia. The dose of 100.8 mg/kgBB had an average decrease in blood sugar of 122.17 mg/dL, higher than the dose of 50.4 mg/kgBB (decrease of 155.00 mg/dL) and 25.2 mg/kgBB (decrease 200.33mg/dL). In the control group, control + with 13.39 mg/kgBW glibenclamide showed a greater reduction (121.87 mg/dL) than control - with 1% NaCMC (205.83 mg/dL reduction). EESS is native to Papua antihyperglycemia is effective in mice with hyperglycemia. Comparison of the effectiveness of EESS doses showed a significant difference in response.

Abstract

This groundbreaking study ventures into uncharted territory to explore the vast potential of Plant Growth Promoting Fungi (PGPF) as multifaceted allies in agricultural sustainability. Departing from traditional paradigms, the research sets out to identify and characterize non-pathogenic fungal isolates with the capacity to serve as potent PGPF agents. Employing a pioneering approach, fungal isolates are meticulously collected from the rhizosphere of plants, heralding a new era of ecological exploration at the microorganism level. Rigorous testing for pathogenicity on soybean seeds unveils a rich reservoir of fungi diversity, with 18 isolates demonstrating remarkable efficacy in enhancing germination rates and promoting vigorous seedling growth. These findings not only underscore the pivotal role of PGPF in bolstering plant health and resilience but also herald a paradigm shift in sustainable agriculture. With the potential to serve as biopesticides for plant protection and biofertilizers for enhancing growth, these PGPF isolates offer a promising avenue for reducing reliance on synthetic inputs and mitigating environmental impacts. Moreover, their integration into integrated disease management strategies holds the promise of synergistic efficacy, paving the way for holistic approaches to agricultural sustainability. This research not only expands the frontiers of knowledge surrounding PGPF but also lays the groundwork for transformative innovations in agroecological practices, ushering in a greener, more resilient future for global agriculture.

Abstract

The penetration of technological advancements into higher education institutions is a multifaceted phenomenon influenced by diverse considerations. This paper breaks new ground by conducting a content-based bibliometric analysis of technology integration within Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Employing a systematic five-step approach, the study meticulously navigates the bibliometric landscape, encompassing database identification, scope determination, article refinement, compilation, and analysis. A corpus of 61 articles sourced from the Google Scholar database spanning the period from 2012 to 2022 constitutes the focal point of bibliometric scrutiny. Delving into the thematic analysis, the study unveils a rich tapestry of insights encapsulated in five overarching themes: Technology, Industrial Revolution 4.0, and Education 4.0; Higher Education and Digital Technology; Educational Philosophies in the New Normal Higher Education Setting; Transformation of Technology Education in Higher Education and the Academics; and Higher Education, Technology, and the Learners. The findings underscore the imperative of aligning educational paradigms with the imperatives of Industrial Revolution 4.0, offering a blueprint for navigating the new normal in higher education. By elucidating the intricate interplay between technology and pedagogy, this research not only enriches scholarly discourse but also provides practical insights for HEIs seeking to embrace technological innovation in fostering academic excellence and resilience amidst evolving educational landscapes.

Abstract

Developing tourism attractions in regions is essential to boost local communities' well-being and revenue. However, these attractions face challenges from various sources, including internal and external factors like funding and development strategies. This study focused on identifying financing sources and effective strategies for developing tourism attractions in the region, using Serulingmas Interactive Zoo in Banjarnegara Regency as a case study. The research methods were contingent valuation method, logistic regression, and SWOT analysis. This study's main novelty is its approach, blending the Contingent Valuation Method, Binary Logistics Regression Analysis, and SWOT Analysis to tackle the research question. It also conducted experiments with three distinct questionnaires. The research results showed that to increase revenue as a source of financing, Serulingmas Interactive Zoo could increase ticket prices by IDR 6,505.62 on weekdays and weekends. The development strategy of Serulingmas Interactive Zoo emphasized opportunities and strengths through the SO and WO strategies and minimized weaknesses and threats through the ST and WT strategies. This research implication suggests boosting funding for Serulingmas Interactive Zoo by raising entrance fees and using strategic approaches (SO, WO, ST, and WT) to enhance its performance. It also hints at broader implications for various domains and highlights areas for future research and unanswered questions.
