Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that sharia financial knowledge is needed as part of financial literacy. The public, in this case elementary school students, needs to understand the role and function of sharia financial institutions or organizations, the role of services or products, as well as financial services with sharia or Islamic concepts, including the features of their interests and obligations. The existence of a sharia financial culture can change people's attitudes and perspectives in developing their finances. This research aims to analyze the implementation of financial literacy in sharia-based elementary school students. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. The results of this research show that the implementation of financial literacy in elementary schools has not been carried out systematically and is still implicit in the context of intra curricular and extracurricular learning. Financial literacy is explicitly taught in Natural and Social Sciences subjects in the independent curriculum, although in practice it has not been proven to increase students' literacy skills. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this research will be able to encourage teachers to develop financial literacy learning that prioritizes the thinking skills and social skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Initiatives to advance fairness and inclusion in educational systems should be founded on an examination of specific settings. This article presents a framework that is founded on research and may be applied to such contextual studies. This piece is a qualitative approach and is presented descriptively. The school principal, teachers, and students in inclusive schools served as the study's primary sources. Students cited supportive relationships, positive teacher beliefs, positive school leader attitudes, supportive teaching practices, and accessibility as five aspects that encourage inclusive education. The findings reveal a variety of barriers and challenges in educational settings, including a lack of teacher preparation that is necessary to meet the needs of all students, the recognition that student diversity is a challenge, physical barriers, underutilization of available resources, and an educational response devoid of organizational and didactic strategies that do not assume responsibility for a fair and inclusive curriculum for all students. It is clear that Islamic character education requires constant habituation and intervention, refuted and carried out consciously by each component. The need for continued professional development and opportunities to improve pre-service teacher education programs are explored.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of utilizing the Beelinguapp program on the reading comprehension skills of second semester students in the Faculty of Social and Political Science, specifically in the area of understanding recount texts. This study utilizes a quantitative approach and follows a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The study population consists of students enrolled in the Faculty of Social and Political Science. The sampling technique use random sampling to select a sample of 31 students in the second semester class. Data collection is conducted through the use of pretest and posttest measures. The Shapiro-Wilk normalcy test is employed for doing normality testing. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test is a non-parametric statistical method employed for data analysis in this research. According to the data, the average score in the pretest and posttest increased from 76.87 to 86.97. The normalcy test indicates that the pretest has a significance value of 0.000, whereas the posttest has a significance value of 0.002. The significance value analysis indicates that the dataset obtained from 31 students does not follow a normal distribution, as evidenced by a significance value of less than 0.05. The analysis results from the test statistic output show that the asymp. sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 < 0.05. A significance value smaller than 0.05 indicates that there is an average difference that makes Ha accepted and Ho rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Beelinguapp application to enhance the reading comprehension of recount text of eighth-class students at Faculty of Social and Politics Science. The researcher aspires for this study to serve as a research reference for upcoming research.
