Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, competence, and affective commitment on the performance of civil servants at the Indonesian Army's Center for Artillery Forces (PUSSENARMED) in Cimahi. Research Methodology: This research employs multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationships among these variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 33 civil servant respondents at PUSSENARMED. Results: The findings indicate that work motivation has a significant positive influence on PNS performance; the higher the motivation, the better their performance. Competence shows a relatively low negative influence on performance, while affective commitment has a significant positive influence. Simultaneously, all three independent variables provide a significant influence on PNS performance, explaining about 51.4% of the variation in performance Limitations: This study is limited to one institution, namely PUSSENARMED in Cimahi, so the results may not be generalizable to other institutions. Contribution: These findings can be utilized to enhance human resource management in the public sector, particularly within the military context, with a focus on improving work motivation and employee affective commitment.

Abstract

Purpose: This literature review aims to synthesize existing models and theories on the antecedents and consequences of driving donation behavior, particularly within the context of digital and technological advancements in nonprofit fundraising. Research Methodology: This study employs a qualitative literature review approach, analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and reports to map the psychological, sociocultural, technological, and organizational factors influencing donation behavior. The review integrates theoretical perspectives including social exchange theory, behavioral economics, and cultural frameworks. Results: Findings reveal that emotional appeal, transparency, personalization, technological integration (such as AI, mobile platforms, and blockchain), and cultural sensitivity significantly influence donor intentions and behaviors. Moreover, reciprocal communication and social proof through digital platforms enhance donor trust and sustained engagement. Consequences include increased donor loyalty, organizational credibility, and more effective fundraising outcomes. Limitations: This review is limited by its reliance on secondary data, which may not fully capture emerging real-time donor behavior trends. Future empirical studies are needed to validate and extend the findings across diverse sociocultural contexts. Contribution: The study offers a comprehensive conceptual framework to guide nonprofit organizations in designing effective, culturally attuned, and technology-driven donation strategies. It also identifies gaps in literature, paving the way for future research in behavioral and technological dimensions of charitable giving.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze employee job satisfaction at PT. Sima Sakti Aulia, a company operating in the travel and tourism industry. The research explores the key factors influencing job satisfaction and examines how these elements contribute to both individual and organizational performance. Research Methodology: A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing interviews and direct observations of an employee. The data collection process provided in-depth insights into various aspects of the work environment, including physical conditions, facilities, interpersonal relationships, and overall employee well-being. The qualitative nature of the research allowed for a comprehensive understanding of the subjective experiences and perceptions of employees. Results: The findings indicate that employee job satisfaction at PT. Sima Sakti Aulia is significantly influenced by a range of factors. A positive work environment, including effective communication and mutual respect among coworkers, plays a critical role in fostering job satisfaction. Additionally, the company’s provision of adequate facilities such as salaries above the minimum wage, health benefits, and incentive programs further enhances employee satisfaction. Furthermore, harmonious relationships among employees, coupled with opportunities for professional growth, contribute to a supportive workplace culture that encourages high levels of engagement and motivation. Limitations: One limitation of this study is the reliance on a single employee interview, which may not fully represent the experiences of all employees within the company. The findings are based on qualitative data, which provides rich insights but may lack generalizability to a larger population. Future research could benefit from a broader sample size and more diverse perspectives from multiple employees within the organization. Contribution: This research contributes to the understanding of employee job satisfaction within the tourism and travel industry, specifically in a company like PT. Sima Sakti Aulia. The study highlights the importance of addressing both physical and psychological factors in creating an optimal work environment. The results emphasize the role of adequate facilities, supportive relationships, and a positive work culture in enhancing employee motivation and organizational success. This study provides valuable insights for businesses aiming to improve employee satisfaction and, ultimately, organizational performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the principal's leadership and teacher work discipline on teacher performance at schools in Indonesia, based on the national education objectives outlined in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, which emphasizes educating the nation’s life and improving public welfare. Research Methodology: The research employs a quantitative approach using questionnaire-based data collection. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 25 for Windows, involving validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), and multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing was performed using t-tests for partial effects, an F-test for simultaneous effects, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to measure the model’s explanatory power. Results: The results indicate that both the principal's leadership and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The t-test results show that leadership (t-value = 5.577 > t-table = 2.002; p = 0.000 < 0.05) and work discipline (t-value = 3.381 > t-table = 2.002; p = 0.001 < 0.05) significantly influence teacher performance. Furthermore, the F-test confirms that both variables collectively have a significant effect (F-value = 55.101 > F-table = 3.16; p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a high coefficient of determination indicating a strong model fit. Limitations: The study is limited to a specific geographical area and relies on self-reported data through questionnaires, which may be subject to response bias. Additionally, external factors such as school facilities, student background, and government policies were not included in the analysis. Contribution: This research contributes to educational management by providing empirical evidence that strong leadership and high work discipline are critical drivers of teacher performance. The findings support policy development in school leadership and human resource management, promoting more effective and accountable educational practices in line with national education goals.
