Abstract

Investasi bodong atau investasi ilegal menjadi masalah yang semakin meresahkan, terutama di kalangan generasi muda yang belum memiliki pemahaman yang cukup mengenai cara berinvestasi secara aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kegiatan sosialisasi mengenai pencegahan investasi bodong yang dilakukan di Universitas Negeri Makassar pada tanggal 4-8 November 2025. Sosialisasi ini diikuti oleh 100 peserta yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dengan jumlah 20 peserta setiap harinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi melalui ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan pembagian materi edukatif mengenai ciri-ciri investasi bodong, cara melaporkan investasi ilegal, serta pentingnya berinvestasi di instrumen yang terdaftar di OJK. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 75% peserta mengaku memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang investasi bodong setelah mengikuti sosialisasi. Sebagian besar peserta memberikan respon positif dan aktif dalam diskusi, serta menunjukkan kesadaran kritis terhadap tawaran investasi yang mencurigakan. Meskipun demikian, tantangan masih ada dalam menjangkau seluruh kalangan, terutama mereka yang tidak memiliki akses ke media sosial atau tidak dapat menghadiri kegiatan secara langsung. Kolaborasi lebih lanjut dengan pihak berwenang, seperti OJK dan kepolisian, serta penyuluhan berkelanjutan diharapkan dapat lebih memperluas jangkauan dan efektivitas sosialisasi ini. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi dan penyuluhan mengenai investasi bodong sangat penting untuk mencegah generasi muda menjadi korban penipuan investasi dan untuk mendorong mereka berinvestasi secara aman dan bijak.

Abstract

Community Service focuses on the importance of empowering teachers in Mental Health Education within schools, particularly in Timika, a remote area in Eastern Indonesia. The frequent and unstable power outages cause difficulties in accessing the internet, and the region’s remote location makes it challenging for school teachers in Timika to obtain information about mental health. The goal of this Community Service initiative is to provide Mental Health Training in Schools Towards Quality Education, which will be implemented to enhance teachers' competencies in handling mental health issues. The ultimate objective is for teachers to become mentally healthy and skilled. As a result of this initiative, a learning environment that supports the emotional and psychological well-being of both teachers and students is created. The method used in this program includes training on children's mental health in the digital era, developing school vision and mission to support mental well-being, conducting social research and innovation, and providing parenting education. Mental health training strengthens the prevention of negative behaviors, thereby influencing the development of quality learning. The results of this program indicate that the training successfully formed a group of teachers who are concerned about mental health. Teachers became more proactive in raising awareness of the importance of mental health in schools. Additionally, this training initiative successfully facilitated educational outreach programs for parents and the surrounding community, both individually and in groups.

Abstract

Character Building and Literacy through Student Journals (PELITA JIWA) is an innovative effort designed to instill character and literacy values ​​in grade 6 students of Neglasari State Elementary School. The background of this program is the challenges in the digital era, where students are more often exposed to technology such as games and social media, so they lack responsibility, empathy, and interest in reading. This program uses the Student Journal Book as a habituation tool to record obligatory worship activities, character, literacy, and daily reflection. The implementation of the program involves several strategic steps, such as determining habituation behavior, socializing plans to parents, providing exemplary examples, and evaluating periodically. Collaboration between teachers, students, and parents is an important aspect in this program showing a significant increase in student behavior during the four months of implementation. Data recorded an increase in the percentage of students who routinely perform obligatory prayers from 79% to 96.6%, book reading activities increased, and habits of maintaining cleanliness such as washing dishes and making beds also experienced a positive trend. In addition, this program increases cooperation between parents and teachers, as well as student awareness of the importance of literacy. PELITA JIWA is effective in forming positive habits in students through structured habituation and exemplary principles. Sustainable strategies are able to change habits into ingrained habits (habituation). With this approach, it can be used as a reference for good practices to support character education and literacy in other schools.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in supporting the development of local entrepreneurship in Pattongko Village, Tellu Limpoe District, Sinjai Regency. The main problems faced include the BUMDes manager's low understanding of business management, lack of entrepreneurial skills, and lack of community knowledge regarding local product marketing strategies. To address these issues, this activity was implemented through seminars, training, and intensive mentoring. Seminars presented resource persons from practitioners and academics to provide an understanding of the role of BUMDes in village economic development. Training focused on business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies. Meanwhile, mentoring was conducted to assist participants in developing and implementing the business plan. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of entrepreneurial and managerial aspects. This activity also succeeded in generating an entrepreneurial spirit among the village community. It is expected that this activity will be the beginning of the establishment of an independent and sustainable village entrepreneurship ecosystem. Strengthening the capacity of BUMDes through this participatory approach has proven to be effective in encouraging local economic growth based on village potential. Abstract

Material management problems in construction projects are one of the main factors that affect efficiency, work safety, and environmental sustainability. Unstructured, mixed, and haphazard material arrangement often results in wasteful costs due to damage or loss of materials, slows down the work process due to time wasted sorting materials, and increases the potential for work accidents due to an unorganized environment. In addition, this condition can also cause disturbances to the surrounding community if the project is in a residential area. Based on the problems identified by construction project partners, the solution offered is the implementation of Portable Material on Site Pallet (PMOS), a simple appropriate technology that functions as a storage medium and grouping of construction materials practically and ergonomically. This activity is carried out through the stages of analyzing field conditions, identifying main problems, designing and making portable pallet prototypes, analyzing technical studies, and implementing and evaluating its benefits in the field. The results show that the socialization and implementation of PMOS can improve workers' understanding of safe and efficient material arrangement, reduce potential hazards due to scattered materials, and speed up the work process in the field. The effectiveness of the innovation is also seen from the reduction in material search time from 40 minutes to 5 minutes, with a total work time efficiency of 15.9%. The socialization of TTG has succeeded in triggering the adoption of tools by the project and shows great potential in supporting K3 and construction productivity in a sustainable manner. In addition to simplifying the material logistics process and extending the service life of construction materials, especially for materials such as steel or reinforcing iron that are susceptible to corrosion.

Abstract

This pronunciation training program for popular foreign words was conducted to enhance the English language skills of Generation Z (Gen Z) students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Central Java. In this era of globalization and digital media dominance, the ability to communicate effectively—especially through accurate pronunciation—has become a crucial asset for global competitiveness. However, many students still struggle with English pronunciation due to limited teaching methods, a lack of English-speaking environments, and minimal use of educational technology. This training program was designed using an interactive, technology-based approach, including mobile applications (such as Elsa Speak and HelloTalk), online conversations with native speakers, and intensive training supported by audio-visual media. These methods allowed students to identify and correct common pronunciation errors independently and sustainably. The results indicated significant improvements in pronunciation accuracy, communication confidence, and student enthusiasm for learning. Furthermore, the program strengthened the capacity of pesantren as adaptive educational institutions aligned with modern challenges and global demands. Through this training, students gained not only technical skills in pronunciation but also new insights into the importance of cross-cultural communication and the role of technology in language learning. This program represents a tangible contribution from Diponegoro University to community empowerment and education quality improvement through the dissemination of multidisciplinary research and community service outcomes. The evaluation results indicate an increase in students' pronunciation scores based on ELSA Speak application analysis, with most participants reporting improved confidence in communication. The training also encouraged the adoption of self-directed learning technology, with the majority of students actively using pronunciation practice applications on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

This community engagement activity was designed to enhance the managerial capacity of junior high school principals in Makassar City through the socialization of the School Information System (SIS). In the context of information technology development, SIS is seen as a potential tool to improve administrative efficiency and school management effectiveness. The socialization activity was carried out in the form of interactive seminars and group discussions, involving 40 junior high school principals in Makassar City. The socialization material included the basic concepts of SIS, its benefits for school management, relevant features, and SIS implementation case studies. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept and benefits of SIS, as well as an increase in interest in learning more about and considering implementing SIS in their respective schools. This activity is expected to make a positive contribution to efforts to modernize education management at the junior high school level in Makassar City, through the use of information technology to support the managerial tasks of school principals.

Abstract

Early childhood mental health is a key foundation in character building and successful ongoing emotional-social development. Mentally healthy children tend to be able to recognize and manage their emotions, establish positive social relationships, and adapt effectively to the surrounding environment. Teachers and parents, as the closest figure, have a central role in maintaining and detecting children's mental conditions early on. However, limited understanding and strong stigma towards children's mental health issues often become obstacles in providing the right response. This service activity aims to empower teachers and parents through psychoeducation to become more sensitive, responsive, and skilled in creating a supportive environment for children's mental health. The activity was carried out at Buah Hati Balang Punia Kindergarten, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, in May 2025, with 37 participants consisting of 1 principal, 6 teachers, and 30 parents. The implementation method included four stages: socialization and counseling, case study discussion, simulation and reflection, and evaluation through the implementation of pre-test and post-test. Results showed a significant increase in understanding, with an average pre-test score of 9.38 and post-test of 16.43. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of p < 0.05. Psychoeducation proved to be an effective intervention in increasing the knowledge of teachers and parents as important partners in maintaining early childhood mental health

Abstract

The training on creating animated videos using the Animiz application at SDN 2 Sinjai aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in developing creative and interactive digital learning media. This activity was conducted on December 16, 2024, through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, using a hands-on training approach combined with intensive mentoring. The results showed that teachers were able to understand the material well, operate the Animiz application independently, and produce animated videos relevant to primary school learning themes. The evaluation indicated that most participants responded very positively regarding the clarity of the material, the relevance of the training, and the ease of using the application. Despite some technical challenges and time constraints, the training was considered effective in improving teachers' motivation and skills in utilizing digital technology. This initiative serves as a strategic first step in promoting digital transformation in primary schools and should be followed up with advanced training and continuous mentoring.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is (1) to provide an understanding of the basic concepts and IoT Architecture by the 2022 PTA student group, (2) to provide an understanding and practice of optimal use on the APP inventor platform so as to slow down the process and implementation of IoT. The implementation of this community service for 2 days with the following methods: (1) lectures, (2) questions and answers, (3) practice. Based on the results of the community service, it can be concluded that several things that are indicators of success during the community service are that (1) During the training, in the process of providing material and simulation, training participants gain experience in understanding concepts and how to simulate the App Inventor through providing material and application simulations, (2). In the training process, the motivation of the training participants is very enthusiastic or is included in the high category, it can be seen that the target for training participants is 100% present, (3). In the training process at the evaluation stage, training participants have been able to design or create supporting applications using the App Inventor.
