Abstract

The use of black cumin as medicine or medicinal properties is in the seeds. The benefits of black cumin seeds are to treat various diseases such as strengthening the immune system, asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, increasing breast milk production, antihistamines or hypoallergenic, maintaining skin elasticity, antioxidants, antitumor, cancer, improving the digestive tract, antibacterial, lowering cholesterol and improve heart performance. In order to realize the degree of public health, it is necessary to carry out integrated and comprehensive health efforts in the form of individual health efforts and public health efforts. This community service aims to see how the level of knowledge of students at MAN 2 Makassar City about the use of Black Seed. Therefore, the results of this PKM show that it was synthesized by looking at the t count and t table for the two hypotheses. If (tcount) > ttable, then reject H0. Based on the analysis of the paired t test, if (tcount) is 4.86 and the ttable value for the two-way test is 2.11. Then, (t count) > ttable, then calculate H0 or in other words, that the means/average quiz results are significantly different from the means/average after being given counseling.

Abstract

Children who experienced cases of acute kidney failure or AKI (acute kidney injury) between the end of August and the beginning of October 2022 in 27 provinces in Indonesia were the victims of the quality of the drug syrup product in a thorough manner, through risk-based sampling and testing, which started with the development of analytical methods EG/DEG contamination testing on finished products. Tests on solvent raw materials suspected of containing EG/DEG beyond the allowable limits were conducted, and it was discovered that EG/DEG that above the threshold might result in acute kidney failure. This is what makes people afraid to give children syrup concoctions that contain chemical medications. To convince the public of the efficacy and safety of herbal concoctions made from medicinal plants found all around us to be used as fever medicine and cough medicine for children, we hope to be able to explain through education that there are alternative herbal remedies that can be used to overcome the events that occurred. inexpensive, hygienic, and simple to prepare. The activity is conducted in the form of counseling and the showing of instructional videos on how to prepare herbal remedies for children's fever, cough, and flu. PKM events were successful and met with enthusiasm positive reaction from the locals of Sombalabella Village, Pattalassang District, Takalar Regency, as shown by the fact that after receiving education, their level of knowledge rose from 65% to 74.2%.

Abstract

Paddinging Village is one of six villages in Sanrobone District, Takalar Regency. The targets of service in Paddinging village are PKK members. Currently, clean living is being promoted. One effort that can be made to help the village government is to provide training to PKK members to be able to make or produce their own hand washing soap which can be used to clean hands from germs after defecating or after carrying out other activities that require hand hygiene. The aim of this activity is to help the village government provide training to PKK members to be able to make hand washing soap which is used to clean hands from germs after carrying out daily activities. The method consists of providing training and making soap which has been formulated using the natural active ingredients of Averrhoa bilimbi as the basic active ingredient (antiseptic) which is processed into a hygiene product, namely hand washing soap. The result of this activity is that it provides great benefits to the community, especially PKK women, because they can make their own hand washing soap which is safe for health and does not irritate the skin. The formula for the soap provided uses natural active ingredients from Averrhoa bilimbi using halal gelatin from chicken bone waste. This soap can be used directly and can protect yourself and your family by getting into the habit of washing your hands using the soap that has been made.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembuatan sabun cair cuci piring dan sabun cuci pakaian merupakan hal yang menarik bagi masyarakat karena dapat menambah pengetahuan mengenai cara pembuatan sabun. Sabun cuci piring merupakan bahan yang telah menjadi kebutuhan sehari-hari terutama bagi ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Mahalnya produk sabun cuci piring di pasaran dapat diatasi dengan pembuatan sabun cuci piring sendiri dengan kualitas yang cukup baik dan lebih ekonomis yang dapat digunakan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari maupun untuk dijual. Dengan adanya sabun pembersih yang dibuat sendiri. Hal ini dapat mengurangi pengeluaran rumah tangga untuk membeli sabun pembersih pasaran karena sabun yang dibuat lebih murah dan produk sabun yang dihasilkan lebih banyak. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci piring dan sabun cuci pakaian yang aman digunakan kepada masyarakat daerah Katangka Kabupaten Gowa. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan dan pemberian tutorial pembuatan sabun cuci piring yang disimak langsung oleh peserta yang hadir. Jumlah peserta yang hadir dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini sebanyak 39 orang yang keseluruhannya adalah warga Desa Katangka Kecamatan Bontonompo Kabupaten Gowa. Kegiatan ini memberikan hasil berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat mengenai pembuatan produk sabun cuci piring dan sabun cuci pakaian yang aman digunakan. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan yang dapat menambah keterampilan dan sekaligus menciptakan wirausaha baru dan mandiri dan menjadikanya sebagai peluang bisnis. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci piring dan sabun cuci pakaian dapat menambah pengetahuan dan edukasi masyarakat Desa Katangka Kecamatan Bontonompo Kabupaten Gowa dalam pembuatan produk sabun cuci yang aman.

Abstract

Outreach is an activity to educate individuals or groups, providing knowledge, information and various abilities to shape proper attitudes and behavior in life. The traditional medicine industry must pay attention to the safety of the products produced, such as implementing sanitation and hygiene. Education regarding sanitation and hygiene in industry is very important to avoid product contamination so that it is safe and suitable for consumption. This activity aims to provide understanding to human resources to behave hygienically to eliminate all potential sources of contaminants and cross-contamination from various sources which pose a risk to product quality. This community service activity takes the form of delivering knowledge and skills improvement material to UKOT PT Granindo Jaya Makassar human resources regarding the application of sanitation and hygiene according to CPOTB in the process of handling basic materials, processing and packaging methods. To evaluate this activity, a pre-test was given before delivering the material and a post-test after delivering the material. From the results of the activities, this extension is proven to increase knowledge and skills so that the traditional products that will be produced always meet the quality requirements that have been determined according to their intended use. Improving the quality of traditional medicines produced and marketed will provide guarantees of quality, efficacy and safety for traditional medicine consumers, especially consumers of PT Granindo Jaya Makassar products

Abstract

Sistem pelayanan kesehatan tradisional merupakan bagian dari sistem kesehatan nasional. Saat ini kesehatan tradisional diatur dalam Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) Nomor 103 tahun 2014 Tentang Pelayanan Kesehatan Tradisional. Penggunaan tanaman sebagai obat telah dikenal sejak lama oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Hal ini menjadi warisan turun-temurun yang masih dapat ditemui dan masih dilestarikan di wilayah Indonesia. Salah satu wilayah Indonesia yang memiliki keragaman hayati adalah Pangkep (Pangkajene Kepulauan). Kekayaan alam ini dapat diinformasikan dan dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat daerah Pangkep dan sekitarnya salah satunya sebagai bahan pengobatan. Adanya penggunaan tanaman obat (herbal) yang masih kurang tepat dapat memberikan efek samping terhadap kesehatan di masa depan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan beberapa tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan obat-obatan tradisional dan penggunaannya yang aman dan tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah dalam bentuk penyuluhan yang disertai dengan diskusi. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif yakni adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat Kelurahan Bonto Perak Kecamatan Pangkajene Kabupaten Pangkep terhadap berbagai herbal dan penggunaannya yang aman dan tepat.

Abstract

Knowledge about treatment should be known by all people, including the deaf community. The increase in self-medication by people can result in the risk of using the wrong medication and irrational therapy if they are not equipped with adequate knowledge. The high rate of self-medication in the community is due to the lack of public knowledge regarding the proper and correct use of medicines.lack of information obtained from health workers, as well as a lack of public awareness and ability to seek information through available information sources.The DAGUSIBU program exists as an effort to increase public knowledge in using and managing drugs. This service activity aims to determine the difference in changes in knowledge before and after counseling. The method used is a quantitative method with designquasi experimental with one group pre and post test design with methodactive and participatory learning. Increasing knowledge about the rational use and management of medicines through Dagusibu counseling for the deaf and disabled community has been carried out well, the total number of participants was 44 people consisting of men and women with the highest age group being 30-50 years.61,36 %, Average Education LevelSMP (40%) or as many as 18 people. The extension activities carried out have increased participants' knowledge from previously 4.55% and after the activity it increased to 45.45%.

Abstract

Smoking is one of the main risk factors for several chronic diseases that can result in death, so it can be a big problem for public health. Educational activities about the dangers of smoking for health were given to Aliyah students at the An-Nahdlah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar with a total of 40 participants. The aim of this activity is to increase students' awareness of the bad effects of smoking on health. This activity method begins with filling out a pre-test knowledge questionnaire about the dangers of smoking, which is then continued with counseling by the resource person and completing the post-test questionnaire again. The results of filling out the questionnaire after the counseling had increased, namely 90% of students understood the bad effects of smoking. During the counseling, students were very enthusiastic in listening to the presenters, so it is hoped that this activity will be encouraged, especially in the world of education.

Abstract

Pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya deteksi dini terhadap penyakit tidak menular (PTM). tidak terkecuali dapat diberikan kepada disabilitas tuli. Disabilitas tuli seringkali mengalami kesulitan dalam mengakses informasi tentang kesehatan dan layanan kesehatan. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh hambatan bahasa, keterbatasan aksesibilitas media, dan kurangnya pengetahuan tentang hak-hak mereka. Disabilitas tuli dapat mengalami diskriminasi dan stigma dalam sistem perawatan kesehatan, yang dapat membuat mereka enggan untuk mencari layanan kesehatan. Pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis bertujuan memberikan kesempatan bagi disabilitas tuli untuk mendapatkan informasi dan edukasi tentang penyakit degeneratif, termasuk cara pencegahan, deteksi dini, dan pengobatan. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran mereka tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin. Dari hasil pemeriksaan 44 orang penderita disabilitas, terdapat 27,27 % menderita hipertensi, disusul 22,72 % menderta kolesterol 9,09 % , 2,27% menderita diabetes. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat secara umum berjalan dengan lancar dan masalah kesehatan pada lansia paling banyak adalah asam urat. Oleh karena itu diharapkan melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini kesadaran masyarakat khususnya disabilitas tuli tentang kesehatan dapat meningkat agar diperoleh derajat kesehatan yang optimal.

Abstract

Karang Kemiri Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Linggasari Village. In order to improve the health level of the residents of this hamlet, healthy exercise is carried out in the morning. Gymnastics is a type of physical sport that involves body exercises that are selected and arranged systematically with the aim of increasing physical fitness, improving skills, and instilling mental and spiritual values. When doing gymnastics, it is usually always accompanied by music. The method used is to arrange an event, time and place that will be participated in by the hamlet residents in this village. The impacts that will be obtained from this morning exercise include increasing the body's immunity and helping to normalize blood flow and train stiff nerves when you wake up. This activity went well and smoothly. This is indicated by the enthusiasm of residents in participating in this activity.
