Abstract

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan through the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application presents digital service innovations to make it easier for participants to access social security programs, especially Old Age Security (JHT) claims. This study aims to analyze JMO services in improving access and quality of services at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Karimunjawa Surabaya City by using descriptive qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that JMO is able to speed up the claims process, increase efficiency, and expand access to information, although obstacles are still found in the form of system disruptions, login failures, document verification, and lack of optimal socialization. Meanwhile, direct service in the office has met quality standards through the provision of representative facilities, professional officers, and inclusive services. The application of the SERVQUAL dimension which includes tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy is evident in service practice. Thus, JMO has proven to be effective in supporting the improvement of the quality of BPJS Employment services, although technical improvements, strengthening data verification, and more intensive socialization are still needed so that digital services can be used optimally.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a shift from face-to-face learning to online learning, particularly through e-learning platforms like Google Classroom. This change presents new challenges, one of which is maintaining student engagement throughout the learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of visual design, specifically color and typography, on student engagement levels in online learning. The study used a quantitative approach with a case study design involving 60 students in the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program at Imam Bonjol State Islamic University, Padang. Data were collected through a Likert-based questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression and descriptive analysis. The results indicate that color and typography have a positive and significant effect on student engagement, including focus, motivation, and participation in online classes. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of using attractive colors and easy-to-read typography to create a comfortable learning environment. Therefore, educators and e-learning developers are advised to pay attention to visual elements when developing digital learning materials to make the learning experience more interactive and effective.

Abstract

This study compares the performance of static and dynamic websites in the context of digital information services. The background of this research is based on the need for organizations and educational institutions to select the right website architecture to provide fast, secure, efficient, and sustainable services. The objective of the study is to analyze the advantages and limitations of each website model from various aspects, including data security, development and maintenance costs, system sustainability, and the ability to integrate with new technologies. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing relevant current literature, to obtain a comprehensive picture of the technical and non-technical characteristics of both types of websites. The results show that static websites excel in terms of security, initial cost, and system simplicity, but lack flexibility in technology integration. Conversely, dynamic websites excel in flexibility, ease of updating, and readiness to adapt to future technologies, but require higher costs and a robust security strategy. The implication of these findings is the need for a website architecture selection strategy tailored to the organization's needs, resources, and long-term goals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe elementary school teachers’ perceptions of the essence of education and educational science, as well as their relevance to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Education, as a process of developing students’ potential, requires teachers to understand the philosophical, theoretical, and practical foundations of educational science in order to implement the curriculum effectively. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies involving elementary school teachers from several schools. The findings reveal that most teachers have a good understanding of the essence of education as an effort to shape character, develop competencies, and instill moral values. However, gaps remain in their comprehension of educational science as a scientific foundation that guides educational practices. The relevance to the Merdeka Curriculum is reflected in teachers’ efforts to emphasize student-centered learning, differentiation, and character strengthening in line with the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. In conclusion, teachers’ perceptions of the essence of education and educational science contribute significantly to the effective implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, although strengthening teachers’ conceptual and pedagogical insights is still needed to ensure more comprehensive and applicable understanding.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in fire prevention and extinguishing services to reduce fire risks in Gresik Regency, Indonesia. The increasing fire threats due to industrialization, dense settlements, and environmental factors require a holistic approach involving the government, private sector, community, NGOs, and academia. Social capital theory is used as the theoretical framework, emphasizing the importance of trust, networks, and reciprocity in facilitating cooperation among actors. Strong social capital enhances coordination, information sharing, and collective action, thus strengthening community resilience to fire risks. Despite technology and digital platforms offering opportunities for risk prediction and rapid response, challenges such as low digital literacy and infrastructure limitations remain obstacles. Regulations and legal frameworks, including Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and incentives, are also crucial to build trust among stakeholders. This study shows that the success of fire risk management in Gresik requires systemic collaboration from the entire social and environmental ecosystem. The development of integrated digital communication platforms and community education is key to strengthening early warning systems and response preparedness. Inclusive partnerships based on trust are essential to building a resilient community against fire risks in Gresik.

Abstract

Conflict is a universal phenomenon that affects various spheres of life, ranging from interpersonal relationships and educational organizations to socio-political dynamics. The complexity of its causes and impacts requires a comprehensive understanding to formulate effective resolution strategies. This study aims to systematically review the causes of conflict across different contexts while addressing two research questions: (1) What are the main factors that trigger conflict identified in academic literature between 2020–2024? and (2) How do contextual variations influence the understanding of conflict causes? The method employed is a literature review with article searches conducted via Google Scholar and Publish or Perish using the keyword “conflict causes.” From 20 open-access articles retrieved, a screening process based on topic relevance and publication year resulted in 6 articles for analysis. The synthesis reveals three main themes: (a) intrapersonal conflict, predominantly discussed in literary and psychological studies; (b) socio-economic conflicts, including land disputes and interethnic tensions; and (c) conflict management and resolution within educational institutions and organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse changes in the function of salak pondoh cultivation, specifically in the village of Garongan, which was originally only an agricultural commodity but has now become the foundation of sustainable agrotourism, while also examining the role and empowerment of local communities in addressing economic challenges and conservation. Historically, there was a surge in market prices in the 1990s, which caused unstable price fluctuations. The methods used included qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature reviews, with primary sources obtained from interviews with a salak farmer named Pak Pariyoto and Village chief. The results of the study show that the transformation of salak pondoh farming into an educational tourist destination has expanded the resource sector beyond economics to include social and tourism sectors. The conservation of salak plantations depends on the integration of cultural practices such as oral traditions that require the active involvement of the community. The collaboration between farmers and the tourism industry has created better marketing opportunities and enriched the cultural heritage and welfare of the village community. Overall, the results of this research confirm that the enthusiasm and creativity of local farmers have transformed market challenges into sustainable opportunities, making salak the foundation of the economy and tourism identity of Garongan Village.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of three-dimensional snakes and ladders media as an interactive learning strategy to improve elementary school students’ motivation and academic achievement. The research employed a quantitative experimental method with a pretest–posttest design involving 28 sixth-grade students of SDN 147 Pekanbaru in the 2025/2026 academic year. The instruments consisted of learning achievement tests (pretest and posttest) and student questionnaires covering motivation, material comprehension, interaction, learning atmosphere, and media practicality. The results revealed a significant improvement from the average pretest score of 52 to the posttest average of 82.14, with the Wilcoxon test showing a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). Furthermore, most students responded positively to the media, as it enhanced enthusiasm, facilitated material understanding, encouraged collaboration, and created an enjoyable learning environment. These findings confirm that the three-dimensional snakes and ladders media not only improves academic outcomes but also supports students’ affective and social development. Therefore, this media is considered a feasible innovative alternative for elementary learning, although its use should be adjusted to the available time to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify various models and techniques of psychomotor assessment in learning, (2) analyze assessment instruments that have been developed in various contexts of education, and (3) formulating recommendations for implementing psychomotor evaluations that are relevant to the Guidance and Counseling Services (BK).  The method used is a literature study by examining 26 journals published in 2013-2025.  The results showed that psychomotor assessment instruments have been widely developed through peer assessment, project based learning, practice demonstrations, rubrics, portfolios, and authentic assessments.  These instruments are generally valid, reliable, practical, and effective in measuring the psychomotor skills of students.  However, assessments in schools are still dominant in cognitive aspects, so that psychomotor aspects receive less attention.  Therefore, this article recommends the integration of psychomotor assessment more balanced with the cognitive and affective domain, both in learning and BK services, so that students not only develop intellectually and emotionally, but also have real skills that are applicable in daily life and the world of work.

Abstract

The issue of conflict resolution has become an important topic in contemporary social, educational, and political studies. The complexity of conflict, encompassing dimensions of religion, culture, education, and international politics, demands a comprehensive and integrative approach to resolution. Therefore, a literature review is essential to understand trends, strategies, and remaining research gaps in this field. This study aims to review the development of literature related to conflict resolution, focusing on two main questions: (1) what are the trends in conflict resolution research in the last five years, and (2) what models have the most potential to be developed in conflict resolution. The method used is a literature review through the Google Scholar and Publish or Perish databases with the keyword "conflict resolution." From the initial search results of 20 articles, 18 relevant articles were obtained, then selected to 5 articles that met the validity criteria (2020–2025, open access, non-duplicative). The results of the study indicate three main themes: (1) conflict resolution based on religion and culture, (2) education as a means of developing conflict resolution skills, and (3) community empowerment and structural mechanisms in managing social and political conflict.
