Abstract

The training activity of making tissue holders from used bottle caps aims to foster creativity, skills, and environmental awareness in elementary school students. The training was conducted by students in grades 6A and 6B, each divided into two groups. The implementation method was carried out through the stages of collecting materials, explaining the concept of recycling, practical production, and evaluation of the work. The results of the activity showed that students were able to produce creative works that are useful and highly aesthetic. Furthermore, this activity fostered a spirit of cooperation, responsibility, and awareness of the importance of managing plastic waste

Abstract

Aging is a natural process that leads to a decline in physical, cognitive, and social functions, which impacts the quality of life of the elderly. In Konaweha Village, Samaturu Subdistrict, Kolaka Regency, many elderly individuals experience limited mobility and low motivation to engage in physical activities. This study aims to implement an elderly exercise program to improve the quality of life of older adults while providing relevant health education. The method involved a site survey, participant identification, implementation of the exercise program by instructors, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test with the WHOQOL-BREF instrument. The exercises were conducted once a week for four weeks, consisting of eight main movements including warm-up, balance exercises, muscle strengthening, and cool-down. The results showed improvements in participation, mobility, balance, and social interaction among the elderly, contributing to an overall enhancement of their quality of life. This program demonstrates that elderly exercise is an effective, safe, and sustainable intervention for improving both physical and social well-being in rural communities.

Abstract

The problem of organic waste remains a major environmental issue in rural areas of Indonesia due to the lack of an integrated waste management system. This study aims to improve community understanding and skills in managing organic waste through training on the production of eco-enzyme in Pekon Kalisari, Wonosobo District, Tanggamus Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach with participatory observation was used through socialization, discussion, and hands-on demonstrations of eco-enzyme production using simple materials such as fruit peels, palm sugar, and water. The results show that the community demonstrated high enthusiasm and successfully understood the process and benefits of eco-enzyme as an environmentally friendly alternative for household waste management. Several participants committed to producing eco-enzyme independently at home. This activity effectively increased public awareness of the importance of organic waste management while strengthening collaboration between students and the local community in environmental preservation efforts. The program is expected to serve as a sustainable educational model to support community-based waste management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning process of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Food Security TERBINA Jatisari in Jenggawah District and assess its conformity with planning stages and planning functions in public sector accounting. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five informants comprising the Planning Division, Advisor, Chief Director, Secretary, and Treasurer. Documentation was also used to support field findings related to the planning function. Data were analyzed interactively using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study finds that BUMDes plays a strategic role in driving the rural economy through planning, community empowerment, and financial governance. However, the research is limited to a single case study in one village, reducing generalizability. The study contributes to strengthening BUMDes reporting practices and improving administrative data management to support accountable village economic development. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses perencanaan pada Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) Ketahanan Pangan TERBINA Jatisari di Kecamatan Jenggawah serta menilai kesesuaiannya dengan tahapan dan fungsi perencanaan dalam akuntansi sektor publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan lima informan yang terdiri dari Bagian Perencanaan, Penasihat, Direktur Utama, Sekretaris, dan Bendahara. Dokumentasi juga digunakan untuk mendukung temuan lapangan terkait fungsi perencanaan. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BUMDes berperan strategis dalam mendorong perekonomian desa melalui perencanaan program, pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan tata kelola keuangan. Penelitian ini terbatas pada satu studi kasus sehingga hasilnya tidak dapat digeneralisasi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penguatan praktik pelaporan BUMDes dan peningkatan ketertiban data administrasi untuk mendukung pembangunan ekonomi desa yang akuntabel.

Abstract

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) aims to improve soft skills to foster the confidence of vocational school children at the Al Ikhwaniya Orphanage, West Mangu Gorge, South Tangerang. The problems found are the low courage of students in communicating, lack of ability to work together, and lack of experience in developing their potential. This activity was carried out through several stages, namely identification of needs, preparation of training modules, implementation of interactive workshops, communication simulations, and evaluation of participant development. The method used is a participatory training approach with role play activities, group discussions, and hands-on practice. The results of the activity showed an increase in communication skills, teamwork, and confidence of participants in expressing opinions and making decisions. This program is expected to be a model for sustainable soft skill development for orphanage children in facing educational and work challenges

Abstract

Abstract. The innovation of using PVC pipes as road reflectors in the UNNES GIAT 13 community service program in Soborejo Village was designed to improve nighttime visibility in low-light rural traffic areas, especially at high-risk segments between Krajan and Mangli hamlets. The reflectors were constructed by reinforcing PVC pipes with a cement, sand and gravel mixture and applying bright paint and reflective stickers to enhance light retroreflection. Implementation results indicate that the reflectors provide strong structural stability, effective visibility, and function as a low-cost passive safety device suitable for rural conditions. These findings demonstrate that locally available materials and simple engineering techniques can offer a practical, replicable solution for improving passive road safety infrastructure. Inovasi pemanfaatan paralon sebagai reflektor jalan dalam program KKN UNNES GIAT 13 di Desa Soborejo dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan visibilitas berkendara pada area minim penerangan, khususnya di titik rawan antara Dusun Krajan dan Dusun Mangli. Reflektor dirancang menggunakan paralon yang diperkuat dengan campuran semen, pasir, dan kerikil, kemudian dipadukan dengan cat berwarna kontras serta stiker reflektif untuk memaksimalkan pantulan cahaya. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa struktur reflektor memiliki stabilitas baik, daya pantul efektif, dan mampu berfungsi sebagai penanda jalan berbiaya rendah yang adaptif terhadap kondisi pedesaan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan material lokal dan teknik rekayasa sederhana dapat menjadi alternatif solusi keselamatan pasif yang aplikatif serta mudah direplikasi pada lingkungan serupa. Abstract

Masyarakat desa seringkali memiliki potensi lokal yang besar namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal akibat pola pikir yang pasif dan bergantung pada pihak luar. Kondisi ini juga terjadi di Desa Pocol, Kecamatan Sine, Kabupaten Ngawi, di mana komoditas melimpah tetapi belum dikelola secara produktif. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendorong perubahan sosial melalui penerapan kebijakan kolektif dengan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). Metode ABCD dilaksanakan melalui lima tahapan: Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, dan Destiny, dengan melibatkan masyarakat aktif dalam setiap proses. Temuan menunjukkan adanya perubahan signifikan pada pola pikir ibu-ibu dari pasif menjadi aktif, ditandai dengan keterlibatan mereka dalam pemetaan aset, perumusan mimpi kolektif, serta pelatihan produksi olahan singkong bernilai ekonomi. Selain itu, praktik kepemimpinan kolektif dalam tim mahasiswa KKN memperkuat kerjasama, komunikasi terbuka, dan mendistribusikan tanggung jawab yang setara, sehingga mampu menjadi penggerak perubahan sosial di wilayah pedesaan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan kolektif berbasis aset lokal dapat menciptakan kesadaran kolektif dan mendorong kemandirian masyarakat desa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Talunombo Village products, such as batik and woven bags, have enormous potential but face challenges in terms of low competitiveness due to inadequate promotion through traditional methods and limited market reach. Previous approaches, such as direct marketing at local markets and exhibitions, failed to significantly increase sales due to limited customer access. To address this weakness, marketing management support was provided through innovative digital marketing training and social media optimization as a broader and more effective promotional tool. This article will explain the mentoring process and how it helped local businesses improve their promotional capabilities. The method used was a participatory strategy that included workshops, group discussions, and practical experience in producing digital materials. The program's results showed an 80% increase in business owners' understanding of digital marketing tactics, social media management skills, and ability to create content relevant to their target market. Furthermore, batik and woven bags expanded their promotional reach through digital channels, creating new marketing opportunities. Therefore, this assistance proved beneficial for the development of local creative businesses while supporting the economic independence of the Talunombo Village residents.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi transformasi digital dan meningkatkan literasi digital di PKBM An-Nadhif Cikeusal, Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 8 bulan (Juli 2025 - Oktober 2025) dengan melibatkan 120 peserta didik, 15 tutor, dan 5 pengelola PKBM. Metode pengabdian meliputi pelatihan kompetensi digital, pengembangan infrastruktur teknologi, pembuatan konten pembelajaran digital, dan pendampingan implementasi pembelajaran hybrid. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kompetensi digital tutor (rata-rata skor meningkat dari 2.1 menjadi 3.8), literasi digital peserta didik (meningkat dari 2.3 menjadi 3.4), dan efektivitas pembelajaran digital (tingkat partisipasi online meningkat 85%). Program berhasil mengestablish 6 program literasi digital berkelanjutan, membangun kemitraan dengan 8 stakeholder lokal, dan menghasilkan 25 konten pembelajaran digital kontekstual. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan non-formal di daerah semi-urban dan dapat direplikasi di PKBM lain dengan kondisi serupa.

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity entitled "Making Biobriquette Charcoal from Coffee Husk Waste in Pekon Gunung Sari, Ulubelu District, Tanggamus Regency" aims to provide knowledge and skills to the community in processing coffee husk waste into environmentally friendly alternative fuels. Previously unused coffee husk waste is converted into biobriquette charcoal through a simple process, namely burning, grinding, mixing with adhesive, molding, and drying. This activity was carried out through socialization, direct training, and discussions with the community. The results of the activity showed that the community was very enthusiastic and interested in developing biobriquette production because it was considered economically and environmentally beneficial. In conclusion, the utilization of coffee husk waste into biobriquette charcoal can help reduce environmental pollution and become a new business opportunity for the community in Pekon Gunung Sari.
