Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

Bilingual learning has emerged as a significant trend in higher education, particularly within the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program. This article examines the impact of bilingual instruction on students’ academic competence, pedagogical skills, and cognitive development, drawing on language acquisition theory, recent literature, and empirical studies from the past four years. Findings indicate that bilingual practices strengthen academic communication, enhance digital literacy, and better prepare students to teach in increasingly multilingual elementary classrooms. Nevertheless, challenges such as language anxiety, cognitive load, and limited academic support remain obstacles. This study also provides recommendations for effective strategies in implementing bilingual learning within PGSD programs.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains melalui pembuatan dan pelatihan penggunaan Alat Praktikum Destilator Elektrik yang terintegrasi dengan Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis etnosains dan didukung oleh Artificial Intelligence (AI). Kegiatan pengabdian mencakup sesi pelatihan langsung, demonstrasi praktik destilasi, serta pendampingan siswa dalam menggunakan alat dan fitur AR untuk memahami proses secara visual dan interaktif. Evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan rata-rata pre-test 65,50 dan post-test 87,78, dengan N-Gain rata-rata 0,66, termasuk kategori sedang-tinggi, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam literasi sains. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian berbasis pelatihan dan penggunaan alat praktikum interaktif dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains secara efektif,sekaligus memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of religious education values ​​in the Qur'an and Hadith through a content analysis of texts related to the development of religious education. Worship education is seen as the main foundation in the formation of a Muslim personality that is faithful, pious, and has noble morals. This study explains the concept of worship comprehensively, starting from its definition, purpose, and the spiritual, moral, and social dimensions it contains. The discussion includes verses of the Qur'an such as Surah Al-Fatihah verse 5, Surah Luqman verse 17, Surah Thaha verse 132, and Surah Al-Baqarah verse 183, as well as several hadiths that emphasize the importance of habituating worship, exemplary behavior, and a gradual approach in education. The analysis shows that the methods of religious education in the Qur'an and Hadith emphasize aspects of role models, dialogue, habituation, internalization of values, and adaptation to the development of students. The results of this study confirm that religious education should not focus solely on ritual aspects, but also on character development through the values ​​of monotheism, discipline, patience, and social responsibility. Therefore, religious education needs to be holistically integrated into the Islamic education system to shape a generation with morals and spiritual awareness.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Work Environment and Employee Performance, and examines the role of Digital Literacy as a moderating variable in this relationship. Employee performance is a vital indicator of organizational success. The quality of the work environment is believed to be a major predictor of performance, but the effectiveness of the work environment in the digital era is highly dependent on employees' ability to utilize technology. This study specifically aims to determine whether Digital Literacy strengthens or weakens the influence of the work environment on performance. The research method used is quantitative with a survey design. The population of this study is permanent employees in the creative industry sector in Bandung City, with a sample of 150 respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a validated and tested questionnaire for reliability, measuring variables of Work Environment (physical and non-physical), Employee Performance, and Digital Literacy. Data analysis was performed using EViews 12 software, through the stages of Multiple Linear Regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) by estimating the interaction model. Classical assumption tests, including heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity tests, were also conducted using EViews to ensure the validity of the regression model. The results showed that the Work Environment has a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance. Crucial findings from the MRA analysis using EViews prove that Digital Literacy significantly moderates the relationship (significant interaction variable coefficient). The moderation that occurs is strengthening (strengthening effect), which indicates that the higher the level of digital literacy possessed by employees, the greater the contribution of a positive work environment to improving their performance. The managerial implication of this study is the need for synergy between work facility improvement policies (Work Environment) and technology utilization competency improvement programs (Digital Literacy) to achieve optimal Employee Performance. Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Samsam Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, with a focus on management and digital marketing training for the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDesa) Wija Sari and a local Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (UMKM), Kue Cemilan Cantik Gekka. The goal was to enhance the professionalism of business management and expand their market reach. Based on initial observations, the BUMDesa and UMKM in Samsam Village faced challenges such as manual and unprofessional financial management and limited use of digital promotional media. BUMDesa Wija Sari only used a WhatsApp group for socialization and promotion, while the UMKM Kue Cemilan Cantik Gekka relied solely on word-of-mouth marketing.The methods used were training and mentoring. The training covered two main aspects: product marketing digitalization through social media and professional financial management. The results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of the participants, the creation of social media accounts for the BUMDesa and UMKM, and changes in their financial reporting systems. However, challenges such as limited training time and varying levels of digital literacy among participants still existed. Therefore, the service team provided follow-up consultation sessions to ensure the sustainable implementation of the strategies.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah menghadirkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk penulisan karya ilmiah. Salah satu platform yang banyak digunakan adalah ChatGPT, aplikasi berbasis pemrosesan bahasa alami yang mampu membantu pengguna dalam merumuskan ide, menyusun kerangka tulisan, memperbaiki tata bahasa, dan melakukan parafrase. Namun, penggunaan AI tanpa pemahaman etika berisiko menimbulkan plagiarisme dan mengurangi orisinalitas karya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mengenalkan pemanfaatan ChatGPT sebagai alat bantu penulisan karya ilmiah secara etis dan bertanggung jawab. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, 23 Agustus 2025 di SMAS IT Hasanka Palangka Raya dengan melibatkan 18 siswa kelas XII. Metode pelaksanaan berbentuk workshop tatap muka yang terdiri atas tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan dokumentasi. Peserta diperkenalkan pada konsep dasar AI, didemonstrasikan penggunaan ChatGPT, serta melakukan praktik langsung menulis paragraf sederhana dengan pendampingan tim pengabdi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta. Mereka aktif mencoba fitur ChatGPT dan memahami pentingnya menjaga orisinalitas karya serta menghindari plagiarisme. Meskipun kegiatan hanya dilakukan satu kali, pelatihan ini berhasil membuka wawasan siswa mengenai potensi dan risiko penggunaan AI dalam penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan akademik siswa menjelang kelulusan.

Abstract

Physical education in elementary schools is crucial for developing physical fitness, healthy habits, and cognitive skills. The Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat (SAIH) Program aims to promote an active lifestyle and improve learning abilities among children through enjoyable, age-appropriate movement activities. However, limited empirical data exist on its effectiveness, particularly in Heram District, Jayapura City. This study addresses the gap by examining the impact of SAIH on physical responses and learning concentration among Grade IV students at SDN Inpres Bertingkat Waena. Using a quantitative descriptive method, 30 students were purposively sampled. Physical responses were measured through heart rate monitors and activity observations, while concentration was assessed with age-appropriate tests. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. Results showed a significant reduction in heart rate (from 98.3 to 86.7 bpm) and respiratory rate (from 25.1 to 20.9 breaths per minute), alongside a notable increase in concentration scores (from 62.4 to 78.6). A negative correlation between physiological measures and concentration indicates that improved physical stability supports better learning focus.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan produksi UMKM Istana Gypsun + Beton melalui inovasi roster berbahan limbah kulit kayu galam. Limbah galam merupakan material lokal yang melimpah di Kabupaten Tanah Laut namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendampingan teknis, mulai dari pengolahan limbah galam, pelatihan pencampuran material, penggunaan alat bantu produksi, hingga penerapan standar operasional produksi untuk menghasilkan roster yang lebih kuat, presisi, dan seragam. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan tenaga kerja, efisiensi waktu produksi, serta mutu produk yang lebih baik dibanding kondisi sebelum pendampingan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa limbah kulit kayu galam dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan sekaligus mendukung keberlanjutan usaha mitra.

Abstract

This article examines the strategic position of madrasahs within the Islamic education system amidst the currents of globalization that demand change, innovation, and high competitiveness. This study highlights how madrasahs, as Islamic educational institutions, maintain their religious identity while simultaneously updating their curriculum and management to ensure relevance to current developments. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to analyze data from various sources, both classical and contemporary, related to the modernization of Islamic education. The results of the study indicate that globalization brings both challenges and opportunities for madrasahs in strengthening the integration of religious and scientific knowledge, improving the quality of human resources, and expanding the reach of Islamic education through digital technology. By prioritizing the principle of balance between Islamic values ​​and scientific advancement, madrasahs can play a role as centers for character, intelligence, and spirituality formation in the modern era.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a strategic role in shaping the character, moral identity, and spirituality of students amid increasingly complex social dynamics and technological developments. Traditional learning models that focus on memorization and one-way information delivery are no longer considered adequate to meet the learning needs of the 21st century, which demands critical and creative thinking skills as well as the formation of reflective and meaningful understanding. This article aims to examine the implementation of the constructivism approach as an alternative learning model in the context of contemporary PAI. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method based on a literature review with content analysis techniques to identify the suitability of constructivism theory with the principles of Islamic pedagogy. The results show that constructivism is in line with the concept of Islamic education, which emphasizes the stages of reflective thinking through tadabbur, tafakkur, and ijtihad. Constructivist-based learning models, such as Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, and experiential learning, have been proven to increase student engagement, strengthen conceptual understanding, and build the internalization of Islamic values in a contextual manner. Thus, the constructivist approach provides a strategic opportunity to realize PAI learning that is humanistic, dialogical, and relevant to the challenges of the modern era, without losing the theological essence and spirituality of Islam.
