Abstract

The COVID-19 virus in Indonesia has infected more than 1,600 people and has caused around two hundreds of deaths in Indonesia and is predicted to continue to grow. The panic that has arisen is the alleged lack of socialization and education in the community. Students who have been equipped with an understanding and logical way of thinking, are felt to be present to contribute ideas to community groups in the form of socialization and training in making natural handsanitizers. The purpose of this activity is to provide training to the youth of the GKPS church Jl. Jend Sudirman Pematangsiantar on how to make a natural handsanitizer which will then be distributed to the congregation. The members of the church youth who participated in thistraining were quite enthusiastic. Thisindicatesthe desire to increase youth's selfability to improve performance as well as self-competence for entrepreneurship. The results of the training in products will be distributed to the congregation. In addition to these objectives, this activity is expected to generate sensitivity and desire to do business among young people and show the existence of Simalungun University students in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Simalungun University Career Development Center, abbreviated as PPK USI, is one of the university level technical management units / institutions that was established on January 7, 2017, especially in the context of community service, namely:(1) Bridging students and alumnis both USI and non-USI with the business world, industry and government agencies that need workers, so that students and alumni more easily obtain information and services to enter the workforce, (2) Providing consulting services and career guidance for both USI and non-USI students and alumni in dealing with the world of work, and (3) Providing information on job vacancies and internships, conducting training on the world of work and entrepreneurship, and organizing the recruitment process for students and alumnis both USI and non-USI. The method of implementing service is carried out through science and technology diffusion, training and mediation. The services that PPK USI has achieved since its establishment are: (1) Disseminating career guidance, internship and work guidance information obtained directly from HRD and company leaders to the people who need it through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and Line, (2) Organizing, Technical Guidance (Technical Guidance) such as briefing and try out selection of CAT-based CPNS, entrepreneurial talkshow for students in agriculture, training in digital marketing strategies, (3) Recruitment of labor through campus hiring and job fairs, (4) Carry out career guidance services in the form of training to make applications, make a good CV, practice interviews, and practice psychological testing, (5) Carry out student internships at The Government Company times a year. The activities that have been carried out are PPK USI work program, and all of them are public service activities.

Abstract

In Simalungun regency, the intensity of the coffee berry borer attack was in the category of heavy and very heavy attack. The high intensity of attacks is caused by coffee farmers not carrying out control efforts. As a result, the population and spread of the coffee berry borer has increased over time. The majority of coffee farmers do not know the control technology to overcome the coffee berry borer. Including pest control using attractant traps, coffee farmers in Simalungun Regency are still not familiar with it. The way the attractant works, which produces an aroma that is able to stimulate female coffee berry borer pests to approach and then enter the trap, is completely unknown to coffee farmers. For the introduction of this pest control technology, the activities carried out with partner farmers started from providing counseling on pest control methods, introducing attractants and how they work, training farmers through demonstrations of installing attractants in coffee plantations, as well as socializing the importance of all coffee farmers willing to install attractants in their respective gardens. The results of the training and socialization of trapping attractants showed positive success benefits, as reflected in the knowledge of partner farmers on pre-test questions (before training) and answers to post-test questions (after training was given several times). Farmers' responses in the discussion session also reflected more curiosity about the use of attractants to overcome losses caused by the coffee berry borer.

Abstract

Economic losses due to wood damage by wood destruction factors in buildings in Indonesia have reached billions of rupiah every year. Surveys in several major cities, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and other major cities show that generally residential buildings are particularly vulnerable to being attacked by wood-destroying organisms. To prevent or reduce economic losses due to wood damage by wood destruction factors in buildings especially housing, it is necessary to take a preventive measure that is a preservation measure by providing preservatives, especially on wood materials as well as handling to overcome wood components that have been damaged.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to describe the role of maujana nagori in fostering harmonization of multiethnic community life in Nagori Pamatang Simalungun, Siantar District. In addition to these objectives, this activity is intended to provide a deep understanding to the community so that they can create a harmonious life, even though the community living in Nagori Pamatang Simalungun is pluralist in terms of ethnicity, religion, race, and between groups. In the implementation of this socialization activity, lecture and question and answer methods were used from the speakers to all community members who attended the socialization. To optimize the socialization activities, the resource persons first consulted with the Head of Nagori so that they could invite the community and set a time for socialization so that the activities could be carried out properly. The results of the socialization activities show that the public's understanding of the importance of the role of Maujana Nagori in realizing the integration and harmonization of pluralist ethnic life in Nagori Pamatang Simalungun, Siantar District is increasing. Besides that, they are also enthusiastic about participating in the socialization and are willing to carry out constructive activities to support development and harmony of life in the midst of a multi-ethnic society

Abstract

This community service aims to provide an understanding that universities and academics act as business incubators for developing small and medium enterprises. In order to support the growth and development of SMEs, there needs to be a synergy from various parties ranging from academia, industry, and universities as stakeholders. The business incubator is a place used by many developing countries, including Indonesia, as a means of developing new businesses and/or small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The business incubator itself is an institution that oversees a business incubation in the coaching process for small businesses and/or new product development as well as the provision of business facilities and infrastructure, business development, and management and technology support. The availability of skilled labor needed by the Business and Work World (DUKA) is still very low. This is revealed from data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) which was announced in February 2020, which was around 13%. This condition is a challenge for universities not to exacerbate this condition by introducing an early work environment to students, so that they can become graduates according to the needs of the job market, either as employees or business owners through student business incubators at universities.The Business Incubator is a form of Academic Entrepreneurship adapted to the industrial era 4.0 based on the use of electronic media and the internet. To socialize the community service material to SME business actors, the lecture method and question-and-answer method are used for 90 minutes. The results of the socialization have further increased the understanding of the community and SMEs about the importance of developing business incubators as business facilities and infrastructure in business development.

Abstract

Houses in urban areas generally have limited yard land. With a little creativity, the limited yard land can be used for hydroponic vegetable cultivation. This activity aims to disseminate hydroponic system vegetable cultivation by utilizing limited land for home gardens in urban areas. Activities carried out in the form of counseling, cultivation practices and the manufacture of ab-mix nutrition as well as assistance in hydroponic vegetable cultivation. This activity is able to increase participants' knowledge by producing vegetables for consumption and has the potential to be developed into additional household income

Abstract

Economic problems are one of the problems that people often face today, both in urban and rural areas. This condition can of course have an influence on their social life and daily activities. Social service is a social service activity that is a form of humanity between people in order to create a sense of love, a sense of helping each other, a sense of mutual care for people who need a helping hand from various parties. The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation carried out social service activities providing charity food assistance for the umpteenth time in the city of Tebing Tinggi. Focusing on underprivileged communities in the Persikan and Tualang sub-districts as well as janitors and street sweepers, scavengers who depend on their livelihoods at the Tebing Tinggi TPA based on a survey conducted previously with the help of Tzu Chi Buddhist Volunteers and Volunteers guided by good government officials from Padang Hulu District and Tualang and Persikan Subdistricts along with hamlet heads and local communities. The activity was right on target because before the distribution of basic necessities a survey had been carried out at houses with predetermined criteria and during the implementation it went in an orderly and smooth manner without any problems, because it had gone through the briefing and direction stages for 130 volunteers and volunteers.

Abstract

Financial statements are crucial in conducting business. The problem faced by the Nasari Raja Dapotan Corporation, which has an undertaking to sell pine rubber, located in the Hutaginjang village of Simanindo district of Samosir, is its inability to compile financial reports. It's because there are still limited human resources. The implementation of the commitment to the society is divided into three stages: the first stage is the observation stage, the second stage is education and material delivery and the third stage is support and evaluation. Results of implementation of commitment to the society on training preparation of Co-operation Financial Report conducted by the lecturer of the Faculty of Economics University of Simalungun and students of the faculty of economics USI went smoothly. With the hope of improving his knowledge of the importance of financial statements in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) because the benefits of complete and correct financial statement can improve financial management and improve the financial performance of the Nasari Raja Dapoton Corporation group.

Abstract

Keabsahan perjanjian sama - sama sepakat dan adanya kesepakatan antar para pihak.Perjanjian jual beli harus memenuhi Syarat sahnya suatu perjanjian diatur dalam Pasal 1320 KUH Perdata. Kekuatan mengikat transaksi jual beli menurut KUH Perdata dan UU ITE keterkaitan dengan perjanjian yang sah dari kekuatan mengikat transaksi jual beli antara para pihak dalam Pasal 1320 KUH Perdata dan Pasal 18 ayat (1) UU ITE. Serta Perbandingan perbuatan hukum akibat terjadi perbuatan hukum dalam KUH Perdata dan UU ITE memiliki kesamaan jika terjadinya perbuatan hukum maka dari diajukan gugatan dalam Pasal 1365 KUH Perdata Pasal 39 UU ITE dan perbedaanya mengenai ganti rugi di pasal 1234 KUH Perdata dan tuntutan di Pasal 45A UU Nomor 19 tahun 2016
