SEJAGAT : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (EISSN. 3062-7249) contains the results of multidisciplinary community service, published 3 (three) times a year in June, October and February. The practice of peer review is an essential part of maintaining substantial standards in publishing and brings out the best possible scientific journal information from the potential authors and researchers globally. All articles submitted that go to the editorial staff will be selected through the desk review and initial manuscript evaluation process by eminent and renowned Editorial Board members. Then, the articles will be sent to the peer reviewers (two reviewers) who are highly appreciated in their fields and will go to the next selection by the single-blind peer review process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month (4 weeks) for a maximum time. In each manuscript, the peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Articles that have been submitted take an average of about 8 weeks to publish.

Abstract

Bullying among students is increasingly prevalent, driven by various factors, including environmental influences and the impact of globalization. This issue poses significant challenges for teachers, who are often expected to monitor all students throughout the school day despite limited resources and time. The aim of this study is to explore effective strategies for preventing bullying in schools by integrating technological and creative approaches. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of bullying incidents with qualitative data from interviews and observations. The study focuses on the implementation of CCTV technology to enhance student behavior monitoring and prevent bullying incidents. Additionally, it investigates the use of arts-based activities as a means to help students channel excess energy into positive, creative outlets, thus reducing the likelihood of engaging in bullying behavior. The findings suggest that the combination of technological supervision and arts-based interventions significantly reduces the incidence of bullying in schools. The conclusion emphasizes the effectiveness of a holistic approach that incorporates both advanced monitoring tools and emotional support activities, highlighting the potential for these strategies to create a safer and more supportive school environment where students can thrive both emotionally and socially.

Abstract

The Baitul Quran located in Pekanbaru, is relatively new, which means it has a lot of vacant land. As a result, tree planting is necessary to beautify the environment. Similarly, Pekanbaru Sports High School also has vacant land that needs to be utilized. The methods employed sosialization, planting practise, and evaluation. Sosialization is conducted to enhance the partners' knowledge about the role of trees in mitigating the effects of climate change. Tree planting and maintenance practices are implemented to ensure that partners are capable of planting and caring for trees, contributing to the reduction of global warming. The results at Ponpes Baitul Quran and Pekanbaru Sports High School indicate an increase in student knowledge about climate change. Although students at both schools have a similar understanding of climate change, students at Pekanbaru Sports High School demonstrate a stronger grasp of climate change. In contrast, students at Ponpes Baitul Quran show a better understanding of the practical aspects of planting and maintaining trees. Tree planting on the vacant land at these schools creates microclimate. The survival of the trees ranges from 95% to 99%. The best growth in durian trees, followed by eucalyptus, with areca nut trees showing the lowest.

Abstract

Urban communities are generally communities that have homes with limited agricultural land. PKK RW 27 Tegal Boto Lor, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency, East Java has tried to utilize limited land for agricultural activities by planting trees and ornamental plants on the side of the road. Based on this, the Community Service Implementation Team helped provide innovation by introducing the application of the urban farming concept through wall gardening. The method used is through education and soft skill training with the aim of opening the community's insight and knowledge about the innovation of the urban farming concept through wall gardening activities. Based on the activities that have been carried out, there has been an increase in community knowledge with good criteria from 20% (pre-test) to 53.4% ​​(post-test).

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TeFa) Kebun Innovation is one of the TeFa at Politeknik Negeri Jember which focuses on the production of food crop commodities and horticulture. One of the commodities cultivated at TeFa Kebun Inovasi is orange. There are 7 types of oranges cultivated at TeFa Kebun Inovasi. TeFa has the potential to be developed as an agro-tourism destination with 4,000 m2 of land planted with oranges. Agro-edutourism is a type of tourism that combines agriculture and education as its main objects. However, TeFa does not yet have an agro-educational tourism plan. For this reason, an agro-educational tourism initiative was carried out at TeFa Kebun Inovasi. Initiation activities are carried out through five stages, namely preliminary survey, focus group discussion, identification of tourism potential, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The evaluation results show that the agro-edutourism initiation activities have improved the knowledge, skills, and management ability of the management team in designing agro-edutourism, delivered by the agenda of orange picking tour.

Abstract

The number of client visits to the Nutrition Care Center (NCC) since it began operating in 2022 has tended to decrease from 110 people to 98 people in 2023. This figure has not reached the target number of visits, even though in 2023 efforts have been made to organize promotional events NCC only carries out offline promotions to attract client visits, so it has not yet reached the wider community.. However, NCC has Nutriforce which can strengthen its potency. This activity aims to increase the number of visits to nutrition consultation services at NCC through branding activities and promotion of nutrition consultation services. This activity was carried out during August 2023, involving 10 people. Activities are divided into preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation stages. The implementation method is FGD, counseling, training and assistance in creating images and videos for social media content for branding and promoting NCC more intensively. The success of the extension activities was evaluated using a pre-test-post-test knowledge questionnaire and then analyzed using a paired T-test. The results show an increase in Nutriforce's knowledge in creating nutritional consultation promotional content. In addition, there are additional promotional videos and images via Instagram social media which are produced every week.

Abstract

Sidomulyo Tourism Village, located in Jember Regency, has undertaken various initiatives to enhance its appeal as a tourist destination. One such initiative is establishing a new restaurant, Astana Joglo, with a village café concept. Positioned near the Sendang Tirto Gumitir spring, with scenic views of rice fields and coffee plantations, Astana Joglo represents an innovative addition to the village’s tourism offerings. However, to ensure its success, thorough preparation is essential before its operation, particularly regarding human resources and product offerings. This service project aims to enhance the management of Astana Joglo by providing training in service procedures and local-based product development. The training program is structured in four stages: preparation, socialization, training, and evaluation. It covers two main areas: service sequence and local-based product development. The primary beneficiaries of this program are the young, productive-age members of the Sidomulyo Tourism Village management team. The outcomes of this initiative include improved knowledge and skills among participants and the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) for services at Astana Joglo. The average pretest score for the knowledge component was 3.65 while the posttest score was 6.2. On the other hand, the result of the skill pretest score was 2.7 while the result of the posttest was 5.8. To ensure the long-term sustainability of the training, a medium-term evaluation and monitoring process will be implemented, with active involvement from the young managers to support the ongoing development of the tourism facility.

Abstract

TEFA Agribusiness Center diinisiasi oleh Jurusan Manajemen Agribisnis dengan bidang fokus jasa pemasaran (bisnis ritel) produk-produk agribisnis. Permasalahan pada TEFA Agribusiness Center antara lain yaitu: TEFA Agribusiness Center belum memiliki Standard Operating Prosedure (SOP) dalam menjalankan pengelolaan TEFA. Mitra belum memiliki SOP yang seharusnya diterapkan pada usaha pemasaran (bisnis ritel); serta TEFA Agribusiness Center belum memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, seperti rak gondola dan freezer untuk menjalankan kegiatan pemasarannya. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, tim pelaksana pengabdian melakukan kegiatan yaitu: (1) Pendampingan penyusunan Standart Operating Prosedure (SOP) pengelolaan TEFA Agribusiness Center. yaitu meliputi: SOP Kemitraan dengan Pemasok Produk, SOP Penerimaan Produk, SOP Stock Opname Produk, SOP Penataan Produk; dan SOP Penjualan Produk; serta (2) melakukan pengadaan fasilitas yang dibutuhkan mitra untuk kegiatan usaha pemasarannya, yaitu rak gondola dan frezer. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan pembuatan SOP menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik dengan indikator keberhasilan sesuai dengan pedoman peyusunan SOP Politeknik Negeri Jember dimana unsur inti SOP meliputi bagian identitas dan bagian flowchart. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan SOP memberikan peningkatan kemampuan dan ketrampilan bagi pengelola TEFA Agribusiness Center.

Abstract

Stunting in Jember Regency is among the top five in East Java. Kemuning Lor Village is one of the villages that needs attention in stunting prevention. Knowledge about stunting prevention is very much needed by all layers of society. Regional potential also supports the success of stunting prevention. The majority of the residents' jobs there are as livestock farmers. This greatly supports the proposing team in implementing Sustainable Empowerment of representative Through Training in the Production and Digital Marketing of Pentol Lele as an Effort to Prevent the Increase of Stunting Cases in Jember Regency by providing socialization and training as well as direct practice in the processing of Pentol Lele. The purpose of this community service is to provide training in the production and digital marketing of Pentol Lele as an effort to prevent the increase in stunting cases in Jember Regency. The nutritional content of catfish is comparable to other fish, even though it is relatively cheaper. The results of this activity are: 1) Increased public knowledge about early stunting prevention; 2) Increased public knowledge about making catfish meatballs; 3) Increased public knowledge about marketing UMKM products through digital marketing training; 4) Enhanced public knowledge about how to manage P-IRT. This community empowerment activity is monitored and evaluated in stages to optimize stunting prevention and the sustainability of UMKM products, and to improve the economy of the Kemuning Lor Village.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop a laundry service business as an effort to improve services and economic added value at the TEFA Integrated Hotel of Politeknik Negeri Jember. The development of a laundry service business is considered very important because Politeknik Negeri Jember or Polije is a vocational university with BLU (Public Service Agency) status where Polije must provide services to the community in the form of providing goods and / or services that are sold without prioritizing profit and in carrying out its activities based on the principles of efficiency and productivity. This business development is expected to make a significant contribution to the quality of service at the TEFA Integrated Hotel Polije and can improve the economic welfare of business actors and the surrounding community. Methods for implementing this community service activity include three stages, namely the planning, the implementation, and the evaluation stages. These three stages were detailed more into the stage of needs analysis, the implementation of visits to laundry services, the provision of tools and the latest technology in laundry services, as well as evaluation. Additionally, this community service activity also included assistance in terms of business management, marketing, and effective customer service. Based on the implementation of this community service activity, it is expected that the laundry service business at the TEFA Integrated Hotel Polije will experience an improvement in service quality and better economic benefits, which in turn will have a positive impact toward the campus community and its surroundings.

Abstract

Aik Bual Tourism Vocational School in Central Lombok Regency is an educational institution managed by a foundation which has the responsibility to equip its graduates with skills that suit the needs of the tourism industry. In this context, digitalization has an important role in improving the quality of education and preparing students to face challenges in the world of work. However, the challenges faced by Aik Bual Tourism Vocational School students are not small. There are still many students who do not understand how to use technology optimally, both in academic and practical contexts. Therefore, appropriate and targeted digital education needs to be implemented to equip students with the necessary ICT skills. Through training programs and optimal use of digital resources, it is hoped that students can improve their capabilities and be ready to compete in an increasingly dynamic job market. This community service activity aims to improve the ICT skills of Aik Bual Tourism Vocational School students. with a systematic and technology-based approach. The results obtained in this community service activity were an increase in students' ICT skills, where before the training, only 35% of students had basic knowledge about ICT. After training, this figure increased to 85%, indicating progress. Then the training material which includes the use of social media and digital marketing is very suited to the needs of the tourism industry, which requires a workforce skilled in using digital platforms for promotion and communication. And most importantly students demonstrated a significant increase in confidence in their ability to manage digital projects, which was reflected in successful and engaging group-based project outcomes.
