Sasambo: Jurnal Abdimas (Journal of Community Service) is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LITPAM) that publish 4 issues per year in February, May, August, and November. This journal accepts and publishes scientific articles that are original and focused on community service. Manuscripts are written using an academic approach or scientific method by presenting data on the impact of community service activities that have been carried out. The theme written must have an impact or can be generalized to local, regional or national populations such as various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society, as a form of contribution to empowerment and sustainable development in the social and humanities, science and technology fields.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi siswa SMK N 20 Samarinda dalam kegiatan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) berbasis kearifan lokal melalui inovasi pembuatan cimi-cimi berbahan dasar bayam. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas 12 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui tahapan Appreciative Inquiry: Discovery, Dream, Design, dan Destiny. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa berhasil memproduksi cimi-cimi inovatif dengan skor organoleptik tertinggi pada aspek tekstur (4,2). Kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap potensi aset lokal, keterampilan wirausaha, dan kerja sama tim. Kesimpulannya, program ini efektif dalam mengembangkan kreativitas siswa dan menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan berbasis budaya lokal. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah integrasi program P5 dalam kurikulum sekolah, peningkatan pelatihan guru, dan pengembangan kerja sama dengan UMKM lokal. P5 Mentoring Based on Local Wisdom: Cimi Innovation - Cimi Made from Spinach At SMK N 20 Samarinda This study aims to mentor students at SMK N 20 Samarinda in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) based on local wisdom through the innovation of spinach-based cimi-cimi. The partners in this program are 30 twelfth-grade students. The method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through the stages of Appreciative Inquiry: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny. The results show that students successfully produced innovative cimi-cimi, with the highest organoleptic score on texture (4.2). This activity enhanced students' understanding of local asset potential, entrepreneurial skills, and teamwork. In conclusion, the program effectively fosters students' creativity and entrepreneurial spirit based on local culture. The recommendations are integrating the P5 program into the school curriculum, enhancing teacher training, and developing collaborations with local SMEs.

Abstract

Program Keluarga Indonesia Anti Trafficking (KIAT) bertujuan meningkatkan literasi hukum dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mencegah perdagangan manusia (TPPO), khususnya di Kelurahan Benua Mas, Kabupaten Bengkayang. Mitra utama dalam program ini adalah PKK Kelurahan Benua Mas yang memiliki peran strategis dalam pemberdayaan perempuan dan keluarga. Metode utama yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan hukum berbasis komunitas melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, simulasi kasus, serta pemanfaatan media digital seperti video edukasi dan grup WhatsApp. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep TPPO, modus operandi pelaku, serta mekanisme perlindungan hukum, dengan peningkatan skor pemahaman hingga 55%. Pembentukan Kelompok Sadar Hukum (Kadarkum) PKK juga menjadi langkah strategis dalam keberlanjutan program. Kesimpulannya, program KIAT efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran hukum dan kapasitas komunitas dalam mencegah TPPO. Rekomendasi utama meliputi penguatan literasi digital bagi kader PKK, perluasan cakupan program ke wilayah lain, serta sinergi dengan pemangku kepentingan untuk kebijakan pencegahan TPPO yang lebih sistematis.  An Indonesian Anti-Trafficking Family (KIAT) Through Legal Counseling for the Kadarkum PKK Village Group  The Indonesian Anti-Trafficking Family (KIAT) program aims to enhance legal literacy and public awareness in preventing human trafficking (TPPO), particularly in Benua Mas Village, Bengkayang Regency. The main partner in this program is the Benua Mas PKK, which plays a strategic role in empowering women and families. The primary method used is community-based legal counseling through interactive lectures, group discussions, case simulations, and the use of digital media such as educational videos and WhatsApp groups. The program results show an increase in participants' understanding of TPPO concepts, perpetrators' modus operandi, and legal protection mechanisms, with knowledge scores improving by up to 55%. The formation of the PKK Legal Awareness Group (Kadarkum) is also a strategic step in ensuring the program's sustainability. In conclusion, the KIAT program effectively raises legal awareness and strengthens community capacity to prevent TPPO. Key recommendations include strengthening digital literacy for PKK members, expanding the program to other regions, and fostering synergy with stakeholders for a more systematic anti-trafficking policy.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada guru yang tergabung pada Komunitas Guru Penggerak (KGP) Lombok Timur dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa melalui kegiatan Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC). Pengabdian ini melibatkan 27 guru penggerak jenjang SD dan SMP di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Ada empat tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu focus group discussion, sosialisasi dan workshop desain pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa melalui kegiatan Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC), melakukan plan bersama, serta praktek buka kelas dan forum refleksi pembelajaran. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta memahami dengan baik mengenai LSLC. Disamping itu, peserta sangat antusias dan terlibat aktif dalam setiap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pada saat pelaksanaan buka kelas, proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan sudah berpusat pada siswa. Siswa terlibat aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Strengthening the Capacity of Teachers in Student-Centered Learning through Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) Activities This service aims to provide an understanding to teachers who are members of the East Lombok Community of Teacher Movers (KGP) in implementing student-centered learning through Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) activities. This service involved 27 mobilizing teachers at the elementary and junior high school levels in East Lombok Regency. There are four stages of implementing this service, namely focus group discussions, socialization and workshops on student-centered learning design through Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) activities, conducting joint plans, as well as open class practices and learning reflection forums. The results of the service showed that 85% of the participants had a good understanding of LSLC. In addition, participants were very enthusiastic and actively involved in every activity implementation. During the open class implementation, the learning process was student-centered. Students were actively involved during the learning process.

Abstract

Periode 0 bulan sampai 2 tahun disebut sebagai periode emas yaitu periode yang menentukan kualitas kehidupan. Periode ini sensitive karena akibat yang ditimbulkan terhadap bayi tidak dapat dikoreksi dan bersifat permanen. Permasalahan yang kompleks seperti kemiskinan, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, kesibukan mencari penghasilan, kurang peduli terhadap kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak menyebabkan anak menjadi kurang gizi yang bila tidak segera ditangani akan menyebabkan terjadinya stunting yang permanen. Selain adanya program dari pemerintah melalui dinas kesehatan maupun orang tua asuh untuk anak stunting maka diperlukan edukasi pada orang tua dengan pemberian makanan bergizi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberi edukasi kepada orang tua agar mampu mengolah makanan sendiri dari bahan yang mudah di peroleh dengan harga terjangkau dan bernilai gizi untuk menangani anak stunting. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Debong Kulon, Kecamatan Tegal Selatan, Kota Tegal dengan 6 baduta stunting beserta orang tuanya. Hasil  analisis perbedaan pretest dan posttest menunjukkan p-value 0.175 dan nilai t hitung (-1.581) lebih kecil daripada t tabel (2.015), sehingga H0 diterima atau tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Dengan adanya edukasi olahan pangan diharapkan orangtua mampu mengolah makanan sendiri untuk anak stunting dari bahan yang mudah di peroleh dengan harga terjangkau. Education on Nutritious Processed Foods for Stunting Children The period from 0 months to 2 years is called the golden period, which determines the quality of life. This period is sensitive because the effects on the baby cannot be corrected and are permanent. Complex problems such as poverty, low levels of education, busy earning an income, and lack of concern for children's health and growth and development cause children to become malnourished which, if not treated immediately, will cause permanent stunting. Apart from the existence of programs from the government through the health service and foster parents for stunted children, education is needed for parents by providing nutritious food. This activity aims to provide education to parents so they can prepare their food from ingredients that are easily obtained at affordable prices and have nutritional value to deal with stunting children. This activity was carried out in Debong Kulon Village, Tegal Selatan District, Tegal City with 6 stunting children and their parents. The results of this activity show that there has been an increase in the knowledge of participants or parents after receiving education. With food processing education, it is hoped that parents will be able to prepare their food for stunted children from ingredients that are easy to obtain at affordable prices

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi perilaku anti-bullying kepada  siswa sekolah dasar. Mitra tempat kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Raudhotul Mubtadi'in di Desa Buaran Kecamatan Serpong, Tangerang selatan dengan melibatkan siswa 95 orang. Metode pengabdian masyarakat dengan ceramah, simulasi dan permainan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat terbukti dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terhadap antibulliying, dimana sebelum kegiatan dilakukan rata-rata pengetahuan siswa 66.89 dan setelah kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan terdapat kenaikan pengetahuan siswa menjadi 81.47, artinya terdapat kenaikan sebesar 14.58. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat Siswa memperoleh  pemahaman terhadap bahaya bulliying dan dampak hukum bagi pelaku. Kami memberikan rekomendasi pendidikan anti bulliying dimasukkan dalam kurikulum di sekolah dasar. Anti-Bullying Education for Elementary School Students in Order to Increase Solidarity Anti-bullying education is an important approach in creating a safe learning atmosphere for students, especially at the elementary school level. Bullying not only has a negative impact, but also affects students' overall behavior in the classroom. This community service aims to educate elementary school students about anti-bullying behavior. Through community service methods, this activity involves students and teachers. The results of the service are proven to provide students with an understanding of the dangers of bullying and the legal impact on the perpetrators. We recommend that anti-bullying education be included in the curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

Minat baca anak-anak merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, namun rendahnya akses literasi di beberapa daerah menjadi tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan Pojok Baca sebagai upaya meningkatkan minat baca anak-anak usia 3-12 tahun di Kampung Asem, Kelurahan Panunggangan Barat, Kecamatan Cibodas. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan. Program ini melibatkan berbagai aktivitas interaktif seperti membaca bersama, pendampingan belajar, dan lomba bercerita, serta mendorong keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendukung kebiasaan membaca anak. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam minat baca anak-anak, dengan jumlah peserta aktif mencapai 25 anak, lebih tinggi dari target awal. Selain itu, koleksi buku juga bertambah dari 30 buku menjadi 40 buku, yang memberikan lebih banyak variasi bacaan bagi anak-anak. Namun, beberapa kendala masih ditemukan, seperti keterbatasan variasi bahan bacaan, kurangnya sumber donasi buku, serta ketidakkonsistenan kehadiran peserta di minggu-minggu akhir program. Sebagai tindak lanjut, program ini diharapkan dapat berlanjut secara mandiri dengan dukungan masyarakat serta bekerja sama dengan perpustakaan daerah untuk meningkatkan akses literasi anak-anak. Dengan adanya program Pojok Baca, diharapkan dapat tercipta lingkungan yang lebih mendukung literasi anak dan meningkatkan budaya membaca di masyarakat. Implementation of Reading Corner to Increase Children's Interest in Reading in Kampung Asem, Cibodas District Panunggangan Barat Sub District  Children's interest in reading is an important factor in improving the quality of human resources, but low access to literacy in several areas is a challenge that needs to be overcome. This community service aims to implement the Reading Corner as an effort to increase children's interest in reading aged 3-12 years in Kampung Asem, Panunggangan Barat Village, Cibodas District. The methods used are observation, interviews, documentation, and evaluation of the implementation of activities. This program involves various interactive activities such as reading together, learning assistance, and storytelling competitions, as well as encouraging parental involvement in supporting children's reading habits. The results of the community service show a significant increase in children's interest in reading, with the number of active participants reaching 25 children, higher than the initial target. In addition, the book collection has also increased from 30 books to 40 books, which provides more variety of reading for children. However, several obstacles were still found, such as limited variety of reading materials, lack of sources of book donations, and inconsistent attendance of participants in the final weeks of the program. As a follow-up, this program is expected to continue independently with community support and in collaboration with regional libraries to improve children's literacy access. With the Reading Corner program, it is hoped that an environment that is more supportive of children's literacy and improves reading culture in the community can be created.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu pilar utama pembangunan manusia, namun disparitas pendidikan di wilayah perkotaan dan pesisir, seperti di Kecamatan Tallo, Kota Makassar, masih menjadi tantangan besar. Rendahnya tingkat literasi dan numerasi anak-anak pesisir menjadi perhatian utama, diperburuk oleh kurangnya fasilitas pendidikan, tenaga pengajar, dan dukungan belajar di rumah. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan membentuk rumah belajar sebagai pusat pendidikan gratis yang mendukung peningkatan literasi dasar (CALISTUNG) bagi siswa kelas 1–3 SD dan penguatan bahasa Inggris serta matematika bagi siswa kelas 4–6 SD. Kegiatan berlangsung selama enam bulan, menggunakan metode pembelajaran interaktif yang dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Anak-anak dibagi dalam kelompok kecil berdasarkan kemampuan, dengan tujuan meningkatkan fokus dan efektivitas belajar. Evaluasi program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan literasi dasar hingga 70% dan penguasaan matematika serta bahasa Inggris hingga 60%. Hasil ini menegaskan efektivitas pendekatan berbasis komunitas dan pentingnya dukungan kolaboratif dari mitra strategis seperti PT Pelindo Makassar. Program ini tidak hanya mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) nomor 4 terkait pendidikan berkualitas dan inklusif, tetapi juga menjadi model pemberdayaan pendidikan yang relevan untuk wilayah pesisir lainnya di Indonesia. Educational Empowerment Through the Establishment of Learning Homes for Coastal Children: Basic Literacy and Numeracy Strengthening Program in Tallo District, Makassar City Education is one of the main pillars of human development, yet disparities in education between urban and coastal areas, such as in Tallo District, Makassar City, remain a significant challenge. The low literacy and numeracy levels among coastal children are of primary concern, exacerbated by limited educational facilities, inadequate teaching staff, and lack of support for learning at home. This community engagement program aims to establish a learning center as a free educational hub to enhance basic literacy (CALISTUNG) for 1st–3rd grade students and strengthen English and mathematics skills for 4th–6th grade students. The program was conducted over six months, utilizing interactive teaching methods designed to create an enjoyable learning environment. Children were grouped into small clusters based on their abilities to improve focus and learning effectiveness. The program evaluation revealed significant improvements, with literacy skills increasing by up to 70% and mathematics and English proficiency by 60%. These results highlight the effectiveness of community-based approaches and the importance of collaborative support from strategic partners, such as PT Pelindo Makassar. This program not only supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on inclusive and quality education but also serves as a relevant educational empowerment model for other coastal regions in Indonesia

Abstract

Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian pada perempuan di Indonesia. Deteksi dini menggunakan metode Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat (IVA Test) merupakan upaya efektif dalam skrining kanker serviks, terutama bagi kelompok perempuan dengan akses terbatas terhadap layanan kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Lapas Wanita Bulu Semarang dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan deteksi dini kanker serviks melalui pemeriksaan IVA Test. Sebanyak 29 peserta mengikuti pemeriksaan yang dilakukan oleh tim dokter spesialis obstetri dan ginekologi. Selain skrining, peserta juga mendapatkan edukasi mengenai kesehatan reproduksi dan pencegahan kanker serviks. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa metode IVA Test dapat diterapkan dengan mudah dan memberikan hasil yang cepat, sehingga memungkinkan tindakan lanjutan segera bagi peserta yang terdeteksi memiliki risiko. Kegiatan ini mendukung program nasional dalam menekan angka kejadian kanker serviks dan meningkatkan kesehatan perempuan Indonesia. Early Detection of Cervical Cancer through Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA Test) for Women of Reproductive Age at "Women's Prison" Bulu Semarang  Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in Indonesia. Early detection using the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) test is an effective screening method, especially for women with limited access to healthcare services. This community service activity was conducted at the Women's Prison (Lapas Wanita) Bulu Semarang to raise awareness and promote early detection of cervical cancer through VIA testing. A total of 29 participants underwent screening performed by a team of obstetrics and gynecology specialists. In addition to screening, participants received education on reproductive health and cervical cancer prevention. The results of this activity indicate that the VIA test can be easily implemented and provides immediate results, allowing for prompt follow-up actions for participants at risk. This initiative supports the national program to reduce cervical cancer incidence and improve women's health in Indonesia.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengurus koperasi dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan modal kerja melalui pendampingan penyusunan laporan keuangan sesuai Pedoman Standar Akuntansi Keuangan (PSAK). Kegiatan ini melibatkan Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Esa Unggul bekerja sama dengan Pengurus Koperasi Jawa Barat, dengan jumlah mitra sebanyak 30 pengurus koperasi. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari koordinasi awal dengan mitra, survei lokasi, penyampaian materi melalui ceramah dan diskusi, serta evaluasi hasil pendampingan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi yang mencakup konsep dasar pengelolaan keuangan, manajemen modal kerja, dan penyusunan laporan keuangan berbasis PSAK. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta dalam pencatatan keuangan, meskipun masih ditemukan kendala seperti perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan dan kesulitan memahami istilah akuntansi. Kesimpulannya, koperasi masih memerlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan transparansi dan akuntabilitas keuangan. Sebagai rekomendasi, program serupa perlu diperluas, dengan materi yang lebih sederhana agar mudah dipahami oleh pengurus koperasi. The Role of Financial Reporting in Financial Management and Cooperative Working Capital This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the financial management and working capital capacity of cooperative administrators through mentoring in financial report preparation based on the Financial Accounting Standards Guidelines (PSAK). The program involves the Faculty of Economics and Business at Esa Unggul University in collaboration with the West Java Cooperative Administrators, with a total of 30 cooperative administrators participating. The implementation method includes initial coordination with partners, location surveys, material delivery through lectures and discussions, and evaluation of mentoring outcomes. The program was conducted in three sessions covering the basics of financial management, effective working capital management, and financial reporting based on PSAK. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding of financial recording, although challenges such as differences in educational backgrounds and difficulties in comprehending accounting terms remain. In conclusion, cooperatives still require continuous mentoring to improve financial transparency and accountability. As a recommendation, similar programs should be expanded, with simplified materials to ensure better comprehension by cooperative administrators

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan komitmen anggota dalam mewujudkan koperasi yang tangguh melalui pelatihan di Koperasi Harapan Maju Kuranji, Kota Padang. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah anggota koperasi yang berjumlah 50 orang dari total 456 anggota. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pengisian kuesioner untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan anggota, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), serta pemaparan materi oleh tim pengabdian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman anggota tentang peran koperasi, serta peningkatan motivasi dan komitmen mereka dalam berpartisipasi aktif. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner pra dan pasca pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran dan keterlibatan anggota dalam koperasi. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam memperkuat koperasi. Rekomendasi mencakup perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan peningkatan insentif bagi anggota agar koperasi terus berkembang dan berkelanjutan. Training on Enhancing Member Commitment and Motivation to Build a Resilient Cooperative at Harapan Maju Kuranji Cooperative Padang City This community service aims to enhance the motivation and commitment of members in building a resilient cooperative through training at the Harapan Maju Kuranji Cooperative in Padang City. The partners in this activity are cooperative members, with 50 participants out of a total of 456 members. The implementation methods include questionnaires to identify member needs, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and material presentations by the service team. The results show an increased understanding of the cooperative’s role, as well as improved motivation and commitment among members to participate actively. Evaluations through pre- and post-training questionnaires indicate a rise in awareness and engagement within the cooperative. The conclusion of this activity confirms that training is an effective strategy for strengthening cooperatives. Recommendations include the need for continuous training and increased incentives for members to ensure cooperative growth and sustainability.
