Abstract

Social anxiety is a common human experience, including among students. Social anxiety is a form of anxiety and fear of the judgment or views of other people. This research aims to reveal the influence of self-compassion and emotional regulation on social anxiety. This research uses quantitative research using survey and correlational designs. The subjects of this research were 159 IAIN Kerinci students. This research data was expressed using the Measuring the Scale and Scope of Social Anxiety among Students instrument, producing a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.939. The Short Form of the Self-Compassion Scale produced a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.779, The Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale: The DERS-16 produced a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.923, then the research results were processed using descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing using simple and multiple regression techniques. The results of the analysis of the influence of self-compassion on social anxiety show a value of t = -5.447 with a significance value of 0.000. The second hypothesis which tested the influence of emotional regulation on social anxiety obtained a value of t = -9.373 with a significance value of 0.000, then testing using multiple regression obtained t = -.904 at a significance level of 0.367. Then t-count = -7.050 at a significance level of 0.000, then H0 is rejected, meaning the regression coefficient is significant. The research results showed that self-compassion and emotional regulation influence social anxiety. It is hoped that future researchers will reveal the influence of self-compassion and emotional regulation on social anxiety among students and society for a wider distribution.

Abstract

In analyzing the needs of the counselee, an assessment is needed. Needs assessment cannot be separated from statistical tests as a tool. The purpose of conducting research is to find alternative statistical methods for analyzing ordinal data in Guidance and Counseling research. This includes a number of important elements which overall aim to improve the quality, validity and reliability of future Guidance and Counseling research results. In Guidance and Counseling research, identifying appropriate alternative statistics for analyzing ordinal data is important. This is because ordinal data often appears in the form of rating scales, questionnaires and subjective scales. Some alternative statistics that can be used include the Mann-Whitney U Test, Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Signed Rank Test, Kruskal-Wallis On-Way Analysis of Variance Test, and Friedman Analysis of Variance Test. This research is a type of literature study or literature study. Literature studies are intended to search for relevant theoretical sources that suit the research topic being discussed. The use of alternative statistics can be applied and developed based on research findings to analyze ordinal data in the context of guidance and counseling. By using appropriate alternative statistics, researchers can analyze ordinal data accurately and obtain meaningful findings in Guidance and Counseling research.

Abstract

The challenges faced by students, such as managing time between studies, developing social networks, and determining and building a career, are academic and non-academic demands that students have to go through at school, which can be a disturbance to psychological well-being. Therefore, a counseling service such as strength-based group counseling is very important to strengthen students' positive character. By knowing this character, interventions related to developing resilience will be more targeted. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of strength-based group counseling to increase student resilience. This research method uses a pretest and multiple posttest designs. The purposeful sampling technique was used to select 14 experimental student subjects who were placed into two groups randomly, so that each group consisted of seven students from SMA Negeri 5, Semarang City, Indonesia. Data collection using the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale was adjusted to the characteristics of the research subjects. Data analysis used repeated measures ANOVA. The results of the mixed repeated measures ANOVA test show that strength-based group counseling is effective in increasing student resilience. Furthermore, there is an interaction effect between time and group. These findings confirm that strength-based group counseling is effective and can be applied to increasing student resilience

Abstract

By using reality counseling techniques and previous research findings on sibling rivalry, individual counseling reality techniques aim to identify sibling rivalry in early childhood. One form of sibling rivalry is sibling rivalry, where brothers and sisters compete for parental attention and affection. Each child has a different personality and needs. In this literature review, the concepts of counseling and reality theory are used to discuss sibling rivalry behaviors that occur in early childhood. WDEP is a stage of reality counseling where counselors help counselees describe what they want, their desired behavior, self-evaluate, and plan their desired behavior. This can help reduce brother-sister rivalry behavior in early childhood. This study applied a qualitative descriptive approach. with a literature review. The results of the literature review showed that reality counseling can reduce brother-sister rivalry behavior in early childhood.

Abstract

: The government is currently encouraging the use of digital technology to improve the quality of health services as a whole. Digital technology has the potential to optimize public health services by increasing efficiency, accessibility, and quality of service. However, along the way, digital-based health services are not easy to implement, there are changes in the work culture of the organization and resistance from users. In this case, resilience is needed, namely the ability of individuals to adapt to environmental changes, survive pressure and challenges, or the ability to overcome difficulties faced, especially in the face of continuous change in the context of a digital health service system. The resilience of health workers not only includes technical aspects, but also ethical values that are in accordance with Islamic teachings. From the perspective of developing an Islamic society, the quality of service must be in line with Islamic ethical and moral values. The purpose of this study is to describe how resilience impacts on improving the quality of digital-based services with a special emphasis on the Islamic community development approach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with health workers who provide digital-based services, and patients who receive services in outpatient installations, as well as observation and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the resilience of health workers can make a positive contribution to the quality of digital-based health services. The digitalization program can be optimized by implementing the stages of Islamic community development. The community is greatly helped to obtain health services. The novelty of this article lies in the combination of the concept of health worker resilience with the Islamic community development approach in improving the quality of digital-based health services.
