Abstract

Abstract : Mangrove is a vegetation that has many benefits. One of them, mangrove provide living space to many organism. Crabs are one of a wide variety of invertebrate animals that live in association with mangroves. The importance of the role of crabs in the mangrove ecosystem because the crab is a burrowing organism, so it will support the mangrove land becomes fertile. This study aims to determine the diversity of crabs, dominant or most commonly found crab species and crab living habitats associated with mangrove trees around Kuala Langsa mangrove forest, Langsa City, Aceh. This research is only descriptive. Sampling is done by 2 methods that is qualitative in quadrant plot 5x5 meter2 and quantitative in quadrant plot 1x1 meter2. From the results of the study found 15 species of crabs from 7 genera and 5 families. The index value of diversity for all research stations was included in the medium category. The uniformity index is high and there is no type dominance on all stations. Of the 15 types of crabs, there are 3 types of economical crabs (Scylla serrata, Scylla olivacea and Thalamita crenata) and 12 types of non-economical crabs. In general, the crabs of the Genus Uca are the most commonly found crabs in the study sites. Keywords: Aceh, Biodiversity, Crabs, Kuala Langsa,  Mangrove  Abstrak : Mangrove merupakan suatu vegetasi yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Salah satu dari manfaat mangrove adalah menyediakan ruang hidup bagi banyak organisme. Kepiting merupakan salah satu dari berbagai jenis hewan avertebrata yang hidup berasosiasi dengan mangrove. Pentingnya peran kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove karena kepiting merupakan hewan yang hidup meliang, sehingga akan membuat tanah pada ekosistem mangrove menjadi subur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis kepiting, jenis kepiting yang mendominasi atau paling sering ditemukan dan habitat hidup kepiting yang berasosiasi dengan pohon mangrove di sekitar hutan mangrove Kuala Langsa, Kota Langsa, Aceh.Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan 2 metode yaitu kualitatif pada kuadran plot 5x5 meter2  dan kuantitatif pada kuadran plot 1x1 meter2. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 15 jenis kepiting dari 7 genus dan 5 famili.Nilai indeks keanekaragaman untuk semua stasiun penelitian termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Indeks keseragaman tinggi dan tidak ada dominansi jenis pada seluruh stasiun.Dari 15 jenis kepiting, terdapat 3 jenis kepiting ekonomis (Scylla serrata, Scylla olivacea dan Thalamita crenata) dan 12 jenis kepiting non-ekonomis.Secara umum, kepiting dari genus Uca merupakan kepiting yang paling banyak ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Kata kunci: Aceh, Keanekaragaman, Kepiting, Kuala Langsa, Mangrove

Abstract

Freshwater lobster is a fishery commodity that has many advantages so that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has made Freshwater lobster a mainstay aquaculture commodity. As a result, the demand for Freshwater lobster seeds is increasing, while naturally Freshwater lobster only spawns 2 times per year. One of the efforts to improve the reproductive performance of Freshwater lobster is the selection of the appropriate maturation stimulation method. So it is necessary to investigate several methods of stimulating Freshwater lobster broodstock maturation that can improve reproductive performance, namely fecundity and egg diameter of Freshwater lobster. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design, with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments in this study were P1 (control), P2 (eyestalk ablation), P3 (addition of vitamin E to feed), and P4 (hormone injection). Based on the results of the study, the treatment of different maturation stimulation methods gave no significant effect (P>0.05) on fecundity and egg diameter, but was significantly different from the control treatment. So it can be concluded that different maturation methods can only accelerate maturation in Freshwater lobster broodstock compared to control treatments.

Abstract

ABSTRAKUdang galah (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) merupakan salah satu biota perikanan air tawar yang sangat berpotensi untuk dibudidayakan secara komersial. Desa Bayeun merupakan salah satu wilayah yang cocok bagi pertumbuhan Udang galah karena memiliki topografi dataran rendah yang dilalui oleh Sungai Alur Itam dengan kondisi air sungai yang berarus sedang dan terdapat perairan tawar. Hasil tangkapan udang galah rata-rata 10 kg per hari dengan berbagai tipe ukuran, yaitu buah 1,2, dan 3. Hasil tangkapan tersebut langsung didistribusikan ke agen dan konsumen dengan variasi harga yang berbeda berdasarkan ukuran, harga tertinggi udang galah tipe buah 1 (Rp. 140.000,-) dan terendah tipe buah 3 (Rp. 65.000,-), namun banyak hasil tangkapan nelayan yang ukurannya di bawah tipe buah 3 yang menyebabkan tidak sesuainya permintaan pasar terhadap udang galah tersebut. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberi solusi kepada nelayan setempat dengan melakukan pemilahan ukuran udang yang masih kecil untuk dibudidayakan kembali dengan sistem bioflok agar nantinya udang galah dapat layak di pasarkan sesuai tipe untuk mendapatkan harga jual yang sesuai dan menambah penghasilan bagi nelayan. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan yaitu survei pendahuluan mengenai masalah mitra, sosialisasi, pembuatan bioflok, pelatihan dan pendampingan pada mitra KUB KATEUKA JAYA yang anggotanya berjumlah 15 orang. Hasil dari PKM ini adalah adanya peningkatan hardskill mitra dalam mengelola udang galah hasil tangkapan yang ukurannya kecil dan nilai jual udang galah yang berhasil dibesarkan dan dibudidayakan pada kolam bioflok meningkatkan pendapatan mitra. Kata kunci: bayeun; bioflok; budidaya; nilai tambah; udang galah ABSTRACTGiant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) is one of the freshwater fisheries biota that has the potential to be cultivated commercially. Bayeun Village is a suitable area for the growth of giant prawns because it has a lowland topography that is traversed by the Alur Itam River with moderate river water conditions and fresh water. The catch of giant prawns is an average of 10 kg per day with various types of sizes, namely fruit 1, 2 and 3. The catch is directly distributed to agents and consumers with different price variations based on size, the highest price for giant prawns is fruit type 1 (Rp. 140,000,-) and the lowest is fruit type 3 (Rp. 65,000,-), but many fishermen's catches are below fruit type 3 which causes the market demand for these giant prawns to be inappropriate. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide a solution to local fishermen by sorting the size of the shrimp that are still small to be re-cultivated with the biofloc system so that later the giant prawns can be marketed according to the type to get the right selling price and increase income for fishermen. The service method used is a preliminary survey regarding partner issues, socialization, biofloc making, training and mentoring for KATEUKA JAYA KUB partners whose members total 15 people. The result of this PKM is an increase in partners' hard skills in managing giant prawns caught which are small in size and the selling value of giant prawns that are successfully raised and cultivated in biofloc ponds increases partner income. Keywords: bayeun; biofloc; cultivation; value added; giant shrimp

Abstract

ABSTRAKRajungan merupakan komoditas ekspor yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi, tingginya penangkapan rajungan menyebabkan hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh nelayan semakin menurun. Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait teknologi penangkapan yang ramah lingkungan dan teknik penangkaran telah memperparah penurunan stok dialam. Model penangkaran rajungan yang berkelanjutan diketahui dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi penurunan stok rajungan dialam. Adapun metode teknis pelaksanaan utama dalam kegiatan ini, yaitu (1) Kegiatan pengelolaan induk mulai dari penampungan dan penerimaan induk bertelur yang tertangkap dari nelayan pemeliharaan bak induk, seleksi induk khususnya yang sudah bertelur, pakan dan pengelolaan kualitas air induk, pengeraman (inkubasi) induk  serta penetasan  telur rajungan.  (2)  Pengelolaan  kualitas  air  agar diperoleh kelulushidupan crablet yang tinggi. (3) Pencegahan hama dan penyakit, hama dan penyakit yang sering menyerang seperti ektoparasit dan jamur. Hasil PKM ini merupakan solusi alternatif dalam kegiatan ini dengan membuat sistem RUMÔH BIENG RENJONG dapat memudahkan nelayan dalam memahami konsep ini dibuat sesederhana mungkin, sehingga diperoleh peningkatan stok di alam dari hasil restocking secara mandiri oleh masyarakat nelayan secara berkelanjutan yang nantinya dapat meningkatkan hasil tangkapan dan meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat pesisir, khususnya pelaku usaha perikanan rajungan. Kata kunci: induk; penangkaran; rajungan; restocking ABSTRACTBlue swimming crab is an export commodity that has high economic value, the high crab catch causes the catches obtained by fishermen to decrease. The lack of public understanding regarding environmentally friendly fishing technologies and captive breeding techniques has exacerbated the decline in natural stocks. It is known that sustainable crab breeding models can be used to overcome the decline in natural crab stocks. The main implementation technical methods in this activity are (1) broodstock management activities starting from sheltering and receiving egg-laying broodstock caught from fisherman maintenance of brood tanks, selection of broodstock especially those that have laid eggs, feed and broodstock water quality management, incubation (incubation) of broodstock and hatching crab eggs. (2) Management of water quality in order to obtain high crablet survival. (3) Prevention of pests and diseases, pests and diseases that often attack such as ectoparasites and fungi. The results of this PKM are an alternative solution in this activity by making the RUMÔH BIENG RENJONG system easier for fishermen to understand this concept. Make it as simple as possible, so that an increase in stocks in nature is obtained from the results of independent restocking by fishing communities in a sustainable manner which can later increase catches and increase fish stocks. the economy of coastal communities, especially crab fisheries business actors. Keywords: broodstock; crab; restocking

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik pada media pemeliharaan terhadap kualitas air dan pertumbuhan benih ikan baung (Mystus nemurus). Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah perbedaan jumlah probiotik yang ditambahkan yaitu yang terdiri dari perlakuan tanpa penambahan probiotk, perlakuan dengan penambahan probiotik sebanyak 0,5 ml/L, 1 ml/L, 1,5 ml/L. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air pada masa penelitian tidak berpengaruh dan menghasilkan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 6,30 cm, pertumbuhan berat mutlak 7,60 gr, survival rate 100%, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 4,78% dan rasio konfersi pakan 3,3%.Kata kunci : Ikan baung, kualitas air, probiotik.ABSTRACTThis research was conducted to find out the effect of probiotics administration on maintenance media on water quality and growth of baung fish seed (Mystus nemurus). The design used in this study was a Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatments of 3 repeats. The treatment given is the difference in the amount of probiotics added that consists of treatment without the addition of probiotk, treatment with the addition of probiotics as much as 0.5 ml / L, 1 ml / L, 1.5 ml / L. The results showed that water quality during the study had no effect and resulted in absolute long growth of 6.30 cm, absolute weight growth of 7.60 gr, survival rate of 100%, specific growth rate of 4.78% and feed confetti ratio of 3.3%. Abstract

A study of the Scylla genera of crabs was conducted in May in five villages in Langsa City to know their distribution, dimensions of natural catch, and bioeconomic analysis. The method used was the accidental sampling of 30 respondents. Then the information was collected on the demographics and characteristics of the respondents as well as the distribution and dimensions of the Scylla genera crab catch. Respondents indicated that the Scylla genera crabs were distributed in 12 villages, namely Cinta Raja Village, Sungai Lueng, Alue Pineung Timue, Kapa, Lhok Banie, Simpang Lhee, Seuriget, Matang Seulimeng, Sungai Pauh, Kuala Langsa, Sungai Pauh Pusaka, Sungai Pauh Firdaus, and Sungai Pauh Tanjong. The highest catch composition was 4 kg/trip (40%) and the sizes of crabs were all sizes (100%). Furthermore, the dominant duration of the profession of crab catcher is 4 – 6 years (37%) with the predominant age of a crab catcher being 30 – 44 years (53%). The results of the bioeconomic analysis show that the Scylla crab fisheries in Langsa City are still profitable because any increase in catch costs does not reduce total income at all.   Kajian kepiting genera Scylla dilakukan pada bulan Mei di 5 desa Kota Langsa dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi, dimensi tangkapan alami dan analisis bioekonominya. Metode yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling pada 30 responden, kemudian informasi yang dikumpulkan mengenai demografi dan karakteristik responden serta distribusi dan dimensi penangkapan kepiting genera Scylla. Responden menunjukkan bahwa kepiting genera Scylla terdistribusi di 12 desa yaitu Desa Cinta Raja, Sungai Lueng, Alue Pineung Timue, Kapa, Lhok Banie, Simpang Lhee, Seuriget, Matang Seulimeng, Sungai Pauh, Kuala Langsa, Sungai Pauh Pusaka, Sungai Pauh Firdaus dan Sungai Pauh Tanjong dengan komposisi tangkapan tertingginya adalah 4 kg/trip (40%) dan ukuran kepiting genera Scylla yang diambil adalah semua ukuran (100%). Selanjutnya lamanya profesi sebagai penangkap kepiting yang telah dijalani dominannya adalah 4 – 6 tahun (37%) dengan usia penangkap kepiting dominannya adalah 30 – 44 tahun (53%). Sementara hasil analisis bioekonomi memperlihatkan bahwa kondisi perikanan tangkap kepiting genera Scylla di Kota Langsa masih menguntungkan karena setiap kenaikan biaya tangkapan sama sekali tidak menurunkan total pendapatan.

Abstract

Koi fish is a type of ornamental fish whose color and unique body shape are one of the attractions of koi fish. This study aims to determine and evaluate the effect of fasting time on the growth and survival of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) which are fasted periodically at optimum temperature. The method used in this study was the RAL experimental method (completely randomized design) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fasting treatment used was the non-fasting treatment as (control), 1 day of fasting and 1 day of feeding, 1 day of fasting and 2 days of feeding, and 1 day of fasting and 3 days of feeding. Each treatment used seeds measuring 4-5 cm. Parameters observed were absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, daily growth rate, survival rate and feed conversion ratio. The results of the study based on the analysis of variance showed that fasting in koi fish had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute weight growth and daily growth rate and had no significant effect on growth in absolute length, survival raet and feed conversion ratio. The best treatment of periodic fasting is in treatment P2 = 1 day of fasting 1 day of being feed.

Abstract

Milkfish (Chanos chanos) is one of the main aquaculture commodity species and has an important market value. The rapid development of milkfish cultivation is due to the good performance and growth rate of milkfish. In line with the large number of enthusiasts for fish farming, there are also a number of disturbing problems, thus hindering the development of aquaculture businesses, one of which is infectious diseases caused by parasites. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify and determine the prevalence rate of ectoparasites in milkfish (Chanos chanos) in Gampong Bayeun ponds, East Aceh. Sampling was carried out at the Gampong Bayeun pond, East Aceh from 29 August to 9 September 2022 with a total of 90 milkfish samples. Sampling was carried out 9 times. Sampling was carried out when the fish were 2 months old. Identification of ectoparasites was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Samudra University. The results of this study found three types of ectoparasites that infect milkfish, namely Trichodina sp., (30%), Unitubulotestis sp. (17.8), Dactylogyrus sp., (15.6%). The most common type of parasite found was Trichodina sp., which was found in 278 parasites in milkfish.

Abstract

Ikan nila merah merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki tingkat toleransi lingkungan yang luas, termasuk pada lingkungan dengan toksisitas tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi pengaruh perendaman batu zeolit dan arang aktif terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan nila merah yang dipelihara di air limbah perkebunan kelapa sawit. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan perendaman yang digunakan adalah P1 tanpa dosis/kontrol/10 L air limbah, P2 dengan takaran zeolit dan arang aktif dengan perbandingan 50 gr : 50 gr/10 L air limbah, P3 dengan takaran zeolit dan arang aktif. arang dengan perbandingan 100 gr:100 gr/10 L air limbah, dosis P4 zeolit dan arang aktif dengan perbandingan 150 gr:150 gr/10 L air limbah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Anova dan Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perendaman pada batu zeolit dan arang aktif berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan nila merah. Kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P3 dengan hasil 90±10b, disusul P4 dengan hasil 83,33±5,77b, kemudian disusul P2 dengan hasil 76,67±5,77b, dan kelangsungan hidup terendah terdapat pada P1 dengan hasil 76,67±5,77b. hasil 66.67±5.77a.Kata Kunci: Nila merah, kualitas air, zeolit, arang aktif, kelangsungan hidup.

Abstract

Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) is a high-economic ornamental fish which is still included in the relatives of carp. Koi fish have colorful body colors with various types and patterns. The color of ornamental fish is one of the attractions of koi fish lovers. One of the efforts to increase the brightness of koi fish is the addition of color material from natural sources. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding flour containing different natural beta-carotene to the brightness of the color and growth of koi fish. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications. The treatment of this research is control or without the addition of beta-carotene source flour (P1), addition of mangosteen rind flour flour (P2), addition of dragon fruit skin flour (P3), and addition of crab shell flour (P4). Observed research parameters include Color Enhancement, LPBH (Daily Weight Growth Rate), Absolute Weight Growth, Absolute Length Growth, EP (Feed Efficiency), Survival Rate and water quality. The results showed that the Color Enhancement ranged from: 9.97 - 12.85, LPBH: 1.71% - 2.23%, Absolute Weight: 4.07g - 6.17g, Absolute Length: 1.55cm - 2.68cm , EP: 51.35% - 61.42%, SR: 86.67% - 100%. The results of analysis of variance were carried out that the increase in color, absolute weight and absolute length had a significant effect on koi fish (Cyprinus carpio). The addition of crab shell flour (P4) is the best result for the improvement of the color of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) compared to the addition of dragon fruit peel flour and mangosteen flour.
