Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the ecological potential and pattern of the distribution of sea cucumbers in the waters of Tanjungkeramat, Pangkil Village, Teluk Bintan District, Bintan regency. This study uses a survey method, determining the area with a swap area method of 4 areas, measuring the area using a meter with a length and width of 100 x 50 m. The results of the study found 2 types. Sea cucumber from the subfamily namely Holothuriidae and Stichopodidae. The highest density of Holothuroidea species in area I is 46 individual/ha. The lowest density is in area IV which is 12 individual/ha. Sea cucumber density in Tanjungkeramat is still relatively good. The water conditions in Tanjungkeramat still meet the quality standards that support the life of sea cucumber. Distribution pattern in area I with Id value 0.69, area II with Id value 0.68, and area III with a value of 0.42 has an even distribution pattern, while the distribution pattern in area IV Id 1.00 has a random distribution pattern.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the conditions and patterns of utilization of snails in the Penyengat island waters, Riau Island, Indonesia. The method used was purposive sampling of 5 stations with 70 x 2 m quadratic transect for the density of the Gonggong Snail. The results found two types of snail bark species namely Laevistrombus turturella and Strombus urceus with a total density value of 0.114individual per m². The use of snail bark patterns in Penyengat Island waters, namely the size of the catch is medium to large, manual capture techniques (collected by hand), the catching area in the waters of the island is 100-200 m from the beach, the most catches found >100 individuals, season and time of catching snail barks at stinging island waters are not based on season, utilization and distribution of utilization. The snail bark resource is used for consumption and sold to collectors.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai tingkat kerusakan ekosistem mangrove telah dilakukan di Kawasan Estuari Sei Jang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis mangrove, kerapatan dan persentase tutupan kanopi mangrove, serta tingkat kerusakan ekosistem mangrove di Kawasan Estuari Sei Jang Kota Tanjungpinang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2019. Penentuan titik lokasi penelitian  menggunakan  metode purposive sampling sebanyak  3 stasiun dan  menggunakan  transek 10 x 10 m untuk kerapatan dan persentase tutupan kanopi mangrove. Hasil penelitian ditemukan empat jenis mangrove yaitu Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, dan Ceriops tagal dengan nilai kerapatan (1.033-1.367 individu/ha) dan Persentase tutupan kanopi mangrove dengan nilai (61,55-78,41%). Untuk tingkat keruksan pada Stasiun I dan III terkategori (baik) dan Stasiun II terkategori (Rusak).

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan kepadatan gastropoda, kerapatan lamun, penutupan lamun. Selain itu juga mengetahui asosiasi gastropoda di ekosistem lamun di perairan Senggarang Besar. Penelitian ini di lakukan dengan metode random sampling sebanyak 31 titik menggunakan transek kuadrat berukuran 1x1 m untuk pengamatan gastropoda dan lamun. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 12 jenis gastropoda. Nilai kepadatan gastropoda berkisar antar 0,35-2,94 individu/m2. Hasil penelitian jenis lamun yang di temukan 4 jenis lamun yaitu, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halodule uninervis, dan Syringodium isoetifolium. Nilai kerapatan jenis lamun Enhalus acoides 14,32 individu/m2, Thalassia hemprichii 86,39 individu/m2, Halodule uninervis 21,58 individu/m2 dan Syringodium isoetifolium 3,87 individu/m2. Total kerapatan seluruh jenis lamun 126,16 individu/m2. Penutupan jenis lamun Enhalus acoides 12,63%, Thalassia hemprichii 50,96%, Halodule unnerves 13,40%, dan Syringodium isotifolium 0,29%. Penutupan total seluruh jenis lamun adalah 77,29%. Tingkat asosiasi gastropoda antar spesies sebanyak 11 spesies memiliki asosiasi negatif di antaranya adalah Leavistrombus turturela, Strombus urceus, Planaxis sulcatus, Cerithium nesioticum, Cerithium aluco, Cerithium zonatum, Pugilina cocholidium, Cronia margariticola, Muricodrupa fiscela, Pyrene epamella, Otopleura auriscati. Sedangkan 1 spesies memiliki tingkat asosiasi positif yaitu jenis Rhinoclavis aspera.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai potensi dan pola pemanfaatan siput gonggong telah dilakukan di perairan Pulau Kapal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi dan pola pemanfaatan siput gonggong di perairan Pulau Kapal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode random sampling sebanyak 30 titik menggunakan transek 1 x 1 m untuk kepadatan Siput Gonggong. Hasil penelitian ditemukan dua jenis siput gonggong spesies yaitu Laevistrombus turturella dan Strombus urceus dengan nilai rata-rata kepadatan 1,32 ind/m². Pola pemanfaatan siput gonggong di perairan Pulau Kapal yaitu dengan melihat ukuran, teknik, area, jumlah, dan musim tangkapan. Pemanfaatan dari siput gonggong yaitu dikonsumsi dan dijual.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kerapatan seedling (semai), sapling (pancang), pohon dan tingkat regenerasi ekosistem mangrove di Perairan Sei Jang Kota Tanjungpinang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – Agustus 2019 . Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga stasiun yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling, berdasarkan keberadaan ekosistem mangrove di Perairan Sei Jang Kota Tanjungpinang. Setiap stasiun dilakukan pengambilan data sebanyak 3 plot, dengan ukuran plot 10x10m untuk pohon, plot berukuran 5x5m untuk sapling dan 2x2 m untuk sub plot seedling. Hasil penelitian ditemukan empat jenis mangrove yaitu Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata dan Ceriops tagal. Nilai kerapatan pada stasiun 1 untuk pohon 1.033 ind/ha, sapling 3.200 ind/ha, seedling 30.000 ind/ha, pada stasiun 2 untuk pohon 933 ind/ha, sapling 2.667 ind/ha dan seedling 22.500 ind/ha dan pada stasiun 3 untuk pohon 1.333 ind/ha, sapling 3.333 ind/ha dan seedling 38.333 ind/ha. Tingkat regenersi mangrove pada semua stasiun pengamatan tergolong baik.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem in the Sei Carang estuary waters, Tanjungpinang city is a mangrove ecosystem that has land conversion activities and leaves the environment with open land. The purpose of this study was to determine the density and regeneration rate of mangrove ecosystems on post-bauxite mining areas as seen from seedling, sapling, and trees. This research was conducted in July-October 2022. This study was conducted at four stations determined by the purposive sampling method, based on the existence of a mangrove ecosystem in which there are post-bauxite mine openings in the Sei Carang estuary waters, Tanjungpinang City. For each station, 3 plots of data were collected, with a plot size of 1x1m for the seedling category, a plot of 5x5m for sampling and a plot of 10x10m for trees. Data analysis used the formula for species density, for the regeneration rate by comparing the data from the calculation of the density of seedling, sapling and trees and then the formula for the diversity index. The results of the study found eight types of mangroves, namely Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Soneratia alba, Avicennia lanata, Nypa fruticans, and Lumnitzera litorea. Density values at station 1 for seedling 40,000 individual/Ha, sapling 2,667 individual/Ha, and trees 1,533 individual/Ha, at station 2 for seedling 30,000 individual/Ha, sapling 1,467 individual/Ha, and trees 500 individual/Ha, at station 3 for seedling 36,667 individual/Ha, sapling 5,200 individual/Ha, and trees 1,600 individual/Ha then at station 4 for seedling 53,333 individual/Ha, sapling 3,200 individual/Ha, and trees 2,133 individual/Ha. The level of mangrove regeneration at all observation stations is quite good.

Abstract

Sei Carang waters are a mangrove ecosystem area with a fairly wide area coverage, Sei Carang waters have mangrove ecosystems. This study aims to determine the level of mangrove density and production of mangrove litter in Sei Carang. This research was conducted May-June 2022 located in Sei Carang. Observation locations were determined by survey methods and point selection using purposive sampling. Then observations using line transects using a plot measuring 10x10 m. There were 6 species found at the study site, namely: Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Bruguiera sexangula, Sonneratia alba, Xylocarpus granatum. The most common types were found at station 1 where there were 6 of them, and at station 3 there were only 4 types. With density levels ranging from 1633.33 ind/ha to 2300 ind/ha. And also the highest litter production value occurs at station 3 with an average value of 7.21 (gbk/m2) and the lowest occurs at station 2 with an average value of 2.27 (gbk/m2), and the parameters of the Sei Carang waters are still relatively low. good for the life of the mangrove ecosystem when compared to seawater Quality Standards Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, Attachment VII.

Abstract

The waters of Senggarang Besar are located in Senggarang Village, Tanjungpinang Kota District. The waters of Senggarang Besar have a fairly large mangrove ecosystem plus many mangrove seedling planting activities in the coastal waters of Senggarang Besar. Mangrove ecosystems have a variety of natural resources that are abundant and diverse. Mangroves are the most potential ecosystems because mangroves support the diversity of flora and fauna in aquatic communities and play a significant role in human survival based on economic, community and environmental perspectives. This study aims to determine the density, canopy cover, and status of mangrove ecosystems in the waters of Senggarang Besar. This research was conducted in September-December 2022 located in the waters of Senggarang Besar Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province. Determination of observation stations using direct survey method in the field with 3 station points with 6 plots at each station, based on the presence of mangrove ecosystems. Determination of the retrieval point using purposive sampling method. Mangarove ecosystem species found in the waters of Senggarang Besar Tanjungpinang City Riau Islands Province there are 4 species including: Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Xylocarpus granatum, and Avicenia marina. With density and cover values at station 1, 3900 ind/ha and 81.00%, at station 2, 1433.33 ind/ha and 69.98%, and station 3, 1446.7 ind/ha and 69.08%. The level of damage to the mangrove ecosystem in the waters of Senggarang Besar Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province at station 1 includes good, very dense criteria based on KepMen LH No. 201 of 2004. While at stations 2 and 3 the level of damage includes good, moderate criteria based on KepMen LH No. 201 Year 2004.
