Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of romantic adult attachment  in the psychological distress of pregnant women from an Islamic perspective. This is considering that there has not been a specific discussion of this role in Islam. Meanwhile, in psychology, psychological distress is known to have a negative impact on pregnant women, and one of the factors is the lack of attachment of the partner (husband) as a place of dependence that provides a sense of security (romantic adult attachment ). The approach used in this study is qualitative with the literature review method. The results of the study show that the psychological distress felt by pregnant women is interpreted by a test from Allah SWT. While the exam is a form of reminder for individuals to carry out worship to Allah SWT. Therefore, harmonious relationships such as paying attention to each other in the marriage bond are included in worship, and can reduce psychological distress for pregnant women.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 (DM Type 2) is a chronic metabolic disease caused by insulin resistance. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) 2021, Indonesia has around 14.3 million undiagnosed cases, particularly among the youth. Lifestyle factors, including physical activity and dietary patterns, are major risk factors. Medical students are vulnerable to diabetes due to academic pressure and sedentary lifestyles. In Islam, maintaining health is a responsibility aligned with the principle of ḥifẓ al-nafs. This study aims to provide a basis for education and encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyles. The methodology used is quantitative observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach, collecting data from 92 students at YARSI University’s Faculty of Medicine. Results indicate that the majority have moderate physical activity and poor dietary habits. Analysis using the Chi-Square test shows a significant relationship between random blood glucose (RBG) and dietary patterns (p=0.001), but no significant relationship with physical activity or smoking behavior. During Ramadan, no significant relationship was found between fasting blood glucose (FBG) and physical activity or smoking behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of dietary habits in managing blood glucose levels among students.

Abstract

Teacher attitudes play a vital role in shaping their motivation and effectiveness, especially among educators working with students with special needs. However, limited success and challenging teaching conditions often lead to low work motivation and negative implicit attitudes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between implicit attitudes and work motivation among teachers of special needs students within an Islamic perspective. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs a literature study method by collecting and analyzing scholarly sources such as books, journal articles, and other academic works relevant to Islamic views on moral behavior, motivation, and education. The findings reveal that teachers’ implicit attitudes reflected through moral conduct and sincerity have a direct influence on their work motivation. Good moral character (akhlak) strengthens spiritual awareness and fosters intrinsic motivation to perform teaching duties sincerely as a form of worship to Allah. This study highlights the significance of integrating Islamic ethical values into teacher motivation frameworks, emphasizing that moral integrity and sincere intentions can enhance the performance and well-being of inclusive education teachers.

Abstract

Abstract A human being receives many blessings, but a few people who are considered as grateful human in the Qur'an are important things to study. There are few studies discussing gratefullness (shukr) in Indonesia. Mostly talking gratitude from social and individual perspectivem but lack of Islamic literacy, especially from the primary Islamic reference source, namely the Al-Qur'an, is the main objective of this research. The research method used is literature review study by analyzing the verses of gratitude in the Al-Qur'an with a thematic interpretation approach and Islamic science studies. The results of the study show that there are three major themes of the concept of gratitude contained in the Qur'an and supported by the interpretations of the scholars. The three major themes are (1). The command to be grateful in the perspective of the Al Quran, (2) the positive impact of gratitude contained in the Al Quran, and (3) the factors that cause gratitude described in the Al Quran. This result also explains that a grateful person must get the pleasure of Allah SWT, and he will avoid the torment of hellfire and get additional favours, both in this world and in the hereafter. So that someone can be grateful, it is advisable to look at people who are lower in rank, remember the blessings that Allah has given him, and ask Allah SWT to be given the strength to give thanks to Him.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven deep learning as both pedagogy and enabling technology within Indonesia’s middle school Informatics curriculum, responding to the shift from teacher-centered instruction toward adaptive, personalized learning. Methods – Using an embedded mixed-method design, the study combined a systematic literature review of 50 Scopus-indexed articles (2020–2025) with a 12-week quasi-experimental intervention at SMP Tahta Syajar, Bekasi. The proposed model comprised an AI-literacy-based learning framework, a Deep Neural Curriculum Loop (DNCL), and an adaptive feedback system. Quantitative data (ANCOVA) were triangulated with qualitative evidence from student portfolios and teacher interviews. Findings – The DNCL model significantly improved student engagement (+27%) and creative problem-solving (+31%) compared to conventional instruction, with large effect sizes for creativity (d = 1.5) and engagement (d = 0.8). AI-supported formative feedback enabled more authentic assessment of 21st-century skills and strengthened human–machine collaboration aligned with the Merdeka Belajar framework. Research Implications – The findings provide empirical support for AI-driven curriculum innovation in Indonesian secondary education; scalability is limited by teacher readiness, infrastructure variability, and the single-site research design.

Abstract

The large number of Muslims who excessively use smartphones, even at night when sleeping and while eating, needs to be reviewed from an Islamic psychology perspective. This research aims to look at the role of smartphone addiction on bed procrastination and mindful eating behavior from an Islamic psychology perspective. This research method is library research using the Al-Qur'an, Al-Hadith, relevant books, and journal articles to analyze inductive data and draw comprehensive conclusions. The research results show that Islam teaches its followers not to overdo any behavior, including using smartphones. Smartphone addiction behavior, which results in delayed sleep and also eating without being mindful, includes behavior of being ungrateful for the blessings of Allah SWT. Islam encourages teenagers to imitate the behavior of the Prophet Muhammad, including sleeping and eating, namely by sleeping after performing the Isha prayer and practicing mindful eating while eating.

Abstract

Self harm behavior is a deliberate act of injuring oneself without suicidal intent, often emerging as a response to emotional distress. Medical clerkship students are vulnerable to such behavior due to academic pressure, clinical responsibilities, and psychological stress, which can affect both mental health and academic performance. This research aims to describe the level of self harm tendency, its psychological and academic impacts, and to examine this behavior from an Islamic perspective among medical clerkship students at YARSI University. This research employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach involving 96 medical clerkship students. Data were collected using the 22-item Self-Harm Inventory (SHI) questionnaire and analyzed descriptively using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The mean SHI score was 28.99, with most respondents categorized as having a low self-harm tendency (85.4%), followed by moderate (13.5%) and high (1%) tendencies. The majority also exhibited low levels of psychological and academic impact, although a small proportion experienced emotional instability and decreased learning motivation. Overall, most students demonstrated a low tendency toward self-harm, yet those with moderate to high scores require particular attention. In Islam, self harm is prohibited as it contradicts the principle of ḥifẓ al-nafs (protection of life). It is recommended that universities provide accessible counseling services, mental health support, and spiritual guidance programs as preventive and promotive measures to help students manage academic and emotional stress more adaptively.
