Abstract

Kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik pada abad 21 ini antara lain mencakup berpikir kritis, kreatif, kolaboratif, dan komunikatif. Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting dimiliki oleh setiap orang (khususnya peserta didik) karena memberikan pengaruh positif baik dalam kegiatan akademik maupun sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan hasil belajar peserta didik pada konsep virus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Pangandaran Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialah korelasional. Populasi seluruh kelas X MIPA sebanyak 7 kelas dan sampel sebanyak 1 kelas berjumlah 37 peserta didik sebagai partisipan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah berpikir kritis sebanyak 19 soal yang berbentuk uraian dan hasil belajar sebanyak 38 soal berbentuk pilihan ganda pada konsep virus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi pearson product moment dengan taraf signifikansi (5%). Sebelum analisis data dilakukan terlebih dahulu uji normalitas dan uji linearitas sebagai uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan hasil belajar peserta didik (R=0,337; R2 =0,114) artinya terdapat kontribusi kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 11,4%.

Abstract

Biology education emphasizes the importance of teacher facilitation both inside and outside the classroom. Field laboratory experiences are crucial for deepening conceptual understanding and complementing classroom learning. This research aims to describe the types of mosses and ferns in the Gunung Galunggung area and to map its potential as a field laboratory. The research method used is an exploratory survey through direct observation, interviews, literature studies, field observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively and descriptively using the Milles and Hubberman approach, classifying Gunung Galunggung into 3 stations with 9 zones. The research results show that Gunung Galunggung has 10 genera of mosses from 8 families and 16 genera of ferns from 13 families, indicating significant potential as a field laboratory. This study is expected to serve as a reference for educators and biology students for independent practicum activities in the Gunung Galunggung area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of students' argumentation skills at MTs Idrisiyyah, Tasikmalaya Regency, in the context of Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI), which includes issues related to science and society based on the components of scientific argumentation from the Toulmin model. The study used a quantitative descriptive method; as many as 63 Grade VIII learners participated. The results of the analysis showed that the ability to claim was excellent (86%), but argumentation support such as data (64%), warrant (32%), qualifier (30%), and backing (27%) was still low. This finding indicates that although learners can convey claims well, they have difficulty supporting these claims with strong data and arguments. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for educators in designing more effective learning strategies related to the development of argumentation skills in the context of SSI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions in the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on two main dimensions: critical thinking and creativity, at SMKN Pancatengah. These dimensions are considered relevant in supporting the development of 21st-century skills, including analytical thinking, creativity, and adaptability to change. The study adopts a quantitative approach using experimental methods. Based on data analysis, the critical thinking dimension showed a high average score (67.63), indicating that students are capable of logical thinking and systematic problem-solving. Meanwhile, the creativity dimension also demonstrated high results with an average score of 69.43, suggesting that students possess the ability to develop new ideas and innovate. However, some aspects, such as the courage to innovate and social leadership, still need improvement.The study also examines 21st-century skills in the dimensions of character and citizenship, which showed more varied results, with the citizenship aspect requiring further reinforcement. These findings highlight the importance of effective character and citizenship education to foster individuals who are not only intellectually capable but also socially, emotionally, and morally competent. Therefore, improving the quality of learning in these two dimensions will support the formation of an excellent and productive generation in the 21st century. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan fokus pada dua dimensi utama, yaitu bernalar kritis dan kreatif, di SMKN Pancatengah. Dimensi-dimensi ini dianggap relevan dalam mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21, yang meliputi kemampuan berpikir analitis, kreativitas, serta adaptasi terhadap perubahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen.Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh bahwa dimensi bernalar kritis menunjukkan skor rata-rata tinggi (67,63) dengan indikasi bahwa siswa mampu berpikir logis dan menyelesaikan masalah secara sistematis. Sementara itu, dimensi kreatif juga menunjukkan hasil tinggi dengan rata-rata skor 69,43, menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki kemampuan dalam mengembangkan ide-ide baru dan berinovasi. Meskipun demikian, beberapa aspek seperti keberanian berinovasi dan kepemimpinan sosial masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji keterampilan abad 21 dalam dimensi karakter dan kewarganegaraan, yang menunjukkan hasil yang lebih beragam, dengan aspek kewarganegaraan yang perlu penguatan lebih lanjut. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan karakter dan kewarganegaraan yang efektif untuk menciptakan individu yang tidak hanya cerdas intelektual, tetapi juga sosial, emosional, dan moral. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di kedua dimensi ini akan mendukung pembentukan generasi yang unggul dan produktif di abad ke-21.

Abstract

Moon orchid is a member of the Orchidaceae family which is a seed plant and belongs to epiphytic orchids that attach to the host. Moon orchid is also one of the most popular orchids among the public because of the beauty of its large flowers and can last two to 4 months. However, the difficulty of re-flowering in moon orchid is one of the problems. This study aims to determine the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids (Phalaenopsis amabilis) through stimulation of shallots (Allium cepa L.) on the bud eye. This research is a quantitative research with true experiment method. Data obtained in the form of numbers of observations for 12 weeks. With simple random sampling technique. The population in this study were moon orchid plants that have roots, stems and leaves. This moon orchid plant is 3.5 years old and totalling 25 individuals. While the sample in this study is the second bud eye moon orchid plants from the base of the stem. There is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new buds on the flowering of moon orchids. This study shows that there is an effect of shallot extract on the bud eye to stimulate the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids. There is the best concentration for the growth of new shoot height on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 40% with an average growth of 6.36 cm, while for the growth of new shoot diameter on the moon orchid is at a concentration of 30% with an average growth of 0.608 cm. Thus, the best concentration for the growth of new shoots on the flowering of moon orchids is between 30% - 40% concentration

Abstract

The Bonokeling lineage, known in Indonesian as keturunan Bonokeling, is an indigenous community in Central Java, Indonesia, descended from Ki Bonokeling, a revered spiritual figure. They are known for preserving unique traditions and rituals that blend Javanese cultural values with Islamic teachings. One of their significant rituals is perlon unggahan, a ceremonial event held annually as a form of gratitude and preparation ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan. This study explores the tradition and the role of plants in the perlon unggahan ritual, focusing on their utilization and cultural significance. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was employed, involving participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data was collected from 11 informants selected through purposive sampling. The findings show that the ritual uses 39 plant species from 22 families. The Zingiberaceae family is the most frequently utilized. The most used plant parts are fruits, followed by leaves, stems, seeds, flowers, rhizomes, tubers, and sap. Among all the plants observed, krambil (Cocos nucifera L.) has the highest Species Use Value (SUV), which is highlighting its central role in the ritual. Plant use is categorized into three main functions: food, offerings, and ceremonial equipment. These findings underscore the importance of preserving both the cultural heritage and the biodiversity associated with this traditional ritual.

Abstract

A healthy ecosystem depends on good ecological literacy, but students' environmental awareness is still low. This study aims to analyze the ecological literacy profile of students in science learning at SMPN 1 Parigi. The method used is descriptive quantitative with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire that measures three indicators of ecological literacy, namely ecological participation, ecological awareness, and ecological skills. This study involved 32 class VIII students as a sample and was carried out in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that the ecological literacy of students was in a poor category with an average score of 38.23. In more detail, the ecological participation indicator obtained the highest score of 38.75, while the ecological skills indicator was the lowest with a score of 37.81. This low score is due to the lack of direct experience-based learning, lack of relevant learning resources, and the suboptimal integration of ecological issues in the science curriculum. The research results recommend the application of Problem-Based Learning based on local wisdom to link learning with surrounding environmental issues. In addition, the use of technology in ecological learning, such as interactive digital platforms, the use of IoT-based environmental sensors, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based simulations, can be an innovative strategy in increasing students' understanding. Technology enables real-time environmental data analysis and provides a deeper and evidence-based learning experience. Thus, the integration of technology in ecological education is expected to increase students' awareness and skills in facing environmental challenges more effectively. This effort is important to form a more environmentally conscious generation and contribute to sustainable ecological preservation. ABSTRAKEkosistem yang sehat bergantung pada literasi ekologi yang baik, namun kesadaran lingkungan peserta didik masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil literasi ekologi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 1 Parigi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen berupa kuesioner yang mengukur tiga indikator literasi ekologi, yaitu partisipasi ekologi, kesadaran ekologi, dan keterampilan ekologi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 peserta didik kelas VIII sebagai sampel dan dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi ekologi peserta didik berada pada kategori kurang baik dengan rata-rata skor 38,23. Secara lebih rinci, indikator partisipasi ekologi memperoleh skor tertinggi sebesar 38,75, sedangkan indikator keterampilan ekologi menjadi yang terendah dengan skor 37,81. Rendahnya skor ini disebabkan oleh minimnya pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman langsung, kurangnya sumber belajar yang relevan, serta belum optimalnya integrasi isu ekologi dalam kurikulum IPA. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan penerapan Problem-Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal untuk mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan isu lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran ekologi, seperti platform digital interaktif, penggunaan sensor lingkungan berbasis IoT, dan simulasi berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI), dapat menjadi strategi inovatif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Teknologi memungkinkan analisis data lingkungan secara real-time dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih mendalam serta berbasis bukti. Dengan demikian, integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan ekologi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan peserta didik dalam menghadapi tantangan lingkungan secara lebih efektif. Upaya ini penting untuk membentuk generasi yang lebih sadar lingkungan dan berkontribusi pada pelestarian ekologi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are one of the essential 21st-century skills that need to be developed in physics learning. This study aims to describe the profile of students' creative thinking skills in grade X at SMA YAB Sukaratu Tasikmalaya school year 2024/2025 during physics learning. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with an essay test instrument based on four indicators of creative thinking skills: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The study involved 23 students out of a total population of 46. The results show that the average creative thinking skills of students are in the moderate category, with an average score of 42.81%. The fluency indicator achieved the highest score of 55%, while the elaboration indicator obtained the lowest score of 24.37%. The low level of students' creative thinking skills is influenced by teacher-centered learning approaches, limited integration of contextual phenomena, and insufficient opportunities for students to experiment and develop ideas in depth. This study recommends implementing a technology-based Project-Based Learning model to enhance students' creative thinking skills. This model enables students to identify real-world problems, design innovative solutions, and develop creative ideas in contexts relevant to everyday life. This effort is expected to encourage students to think more critically, flexibly, and originally in physics learning. ABSTRAKKeterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu tuntutan keterampilan abad 21 yang penting dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas X SMA YAB Sukaratu Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2024/2025 pada pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen berupa tes uraian berdasarkan empat indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif, yaitu fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Penelitian ini melibatkan 23 peserta didik dari total populasi 46 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 42,81%. Indikator fluency memiliki skor tertinggi sebesar 55%, sedangkan indikator elaboration memperoleh skor terendah sebesar 24,37%. Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik disebabkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru, kurangnya integrasi fenomena kontekstual, serta terbatasnya ruang bagi peserta didik untuk bereksperimen dan mengembangkan ide secara mendalam. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan model Project-Based Learning berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Model ini memungkinkan peserta didik untuk mengidentifikasi masalah nyata, merancang solusi inovatif, serta mengembangkan ide kreatif dalam konteks yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Upaya ini diharapkan mampu mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir lebih kritis, fleksibel, dan orisinal dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Environmental awareness is a crucial competency that needs to be developed in the modern era, particularly in ethnoscience-based learning. This research aims to describe the environmental awareness profile of Biology Education students at Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya, through the application of ecoprint coloring techniques. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with an instrument in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire designed based on five indicators of environmental awareness, namely trust in natural materials, interest in environmentally friendly techniques, understanding of environmental impacts, the view of ecoprint as a solution, and commitment to environmental sustainability. This study involved 50 students from a total population of 74 students. The research results show that the average environmental awareness of students is in the fairly good category with an average score of 57.4%. The indicator of trust in natural materials has the highest score, while commitment to environmental sustainability gets the lowest score. The low environmental awareness of students is influenced by less contextual learning approaches, a lack of community-based activities, and limited exploration in developing practical solutions. Therefore, this study recommends the application of project-based learning models supported by digital technology, such as virtual simulations, interactive e-learning platforms, and environment-based digital media. The integration of technology in ethnoscience learning is expected to increase student involvement in exploring environmentally friendly innovations and strengthen their awareness and commitment to environmental sustainability. ABSTRAKSikap peduli lingkungan merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang perlu dikembangkan di era modern, khususnya dalam pembelajaran berbasis etnosains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya melalui penerapan teknik pewarnaan ecoprint. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen berupa angket skala Likert yang dirancang berdasarkan lima indikator sikap peduli lingkungan, yaitu kepercayaan terhadap bahan alami, ketertarikan pada teknik ramah lingkungan, pemahaman dampak lingkungan, pandangan ecoprint sebagai solusi, dan komitmen terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 50 mahasiswa dari total populasi 74 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa berada pada kategori cukup baik dengan skor rata-rata 57,4%. Indikator kepercayaan terhadap bahan alami memiliki skor tertinggi, sedangkan komitmen terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan memperoleh skor terendah. Rendahnya sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang kontekstual, minimnya kegiatan berbasis komunitas, serta keterbatasan eksplorasi dalam mengembangkan solusi praktis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang didukung oleh teknologi digital, seperti simulasi virtual, platform e-learning interaktif, dan media digital berbasis lingkungan. Integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran etnosains ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam eksplorasi inovasi ramah lingkungan serta memperkuat kesadaran dan komitmen mereka terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the spiritual intelligence and environmental literacy of SMP Negeri 1 Bojongasih class IX students. Respondents in this study consisted of 76 class IX students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The instrument used to measure spiritual intelligence is a Likert scale from 1-4 questionnaire, and to measure environmental literacy using a multiple choice test. The spiritual intelligence indicator refers to research by Fatima (2022), which consists of 9 indicators, while the ecological literacy indicator relates to research by Liang et al. (2018), which consists of three main elements, namely: cognitive (knowledge and skills), affective, and behavioural (behaviour). The multiple choice test only measures the mental aspects of students' environmental literacy. The collected data will be analysed manually using descriptive statistics to determine students' test results by dividing the score obtained by the respondent by the maximum score multiplied by 100. The research results show that the students' spiritual intelligence is reasonable, with scores ranging from 68,20-82,68, which indicates a pretty good foundation for spiritual intelligence, although they still need further guidance. Meanwhile, the environmental literacy test results on the cognitive obtained the highest average value of 44.44  with sufficient criteria. These findings indicate differences in understanding of environmental literacy among students, which need to be improved through more effective learning strategies. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecerdasan spiritual dan literasi lingkungan peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 1 Bojongasih.  Selain itu penelitian ini sejalan dengan tujuan Pendidikan Nasional  yakni  Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK),  membantu peserta didik untuk memahami nilai-nilai spiritual (jujur, peduli, tanggung jawab) dalam konteks kehidupan nyata, khususnya isu-isu lingkungan, serta tujuan Pendidikan Global untuk menciptakan generasi yang sadar dan berperan aktif dalam menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan.  Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi  dalam pendidikan sebagai dasar bagi pengembangan kurikulum yang relevan dengan pendidikan berbasis lingkungan dan spiritualitas. Responden pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 76 peserta didik kelas IX. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecerdasan spiritual berupa kuisioner skala likert dari 1-4 dan untuk mengukur literasi lingkungan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Indikator kecerdasan spiritual merujuk pada penelitian Fathimah (2022) yang terdiri dari 9 indikator, sedangkan indikator literasi lingkungan merujuk pada penelitian Liang, dkk, (2018) yang terdiri dari tiga elemen utama yaitu: kognitif (pengetahuan dan keterampilan), afektif, dan perilaku (behavior). Tes pilihan ganda hanya untuk mengukur aspek kognitif literasi lingkungan peserta didik. Data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif secara manual untuk mengetahui nilai hasil tes peserta didik dengan cara membagi skor yang diperoleh responden dengan skor maksimal dikali 100. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan spiritual peserta didik berada pada tingkat baik, dengan nilai  berkisar antara 68,20 hingga 82,68. Sementara itu, hasil tes literasi lingkungan pada aspek kognitif  diperoleh  nilai rata-rata terbanyak sebesar 44,44 dengan kriteria cukup. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan  pemahaman literasi lingkungan di antara peserta didik yang perlu ditingkatkan melalui strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif.
