Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil penerapan teknik memainkan pianika dalam bentuk ensambel pianika pada lagu Kampuang Nan Jauah Di Mato di SDN 07 Teladan Bukittinggi. Secara metodologis penelitian ini berbentuk jenis kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan action research. Kualitatif dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku siswa/i yang diamati. Pendekatan action research digunakan untuk penerapan tindakan pembelajaran yang diteliti dengan tujuan peningkatan mutu atau pemecahan masalah, dan mengamati tingkat keberhasilannya. Kemudian diberikan tindakan lanjutan bersifat penyempurnaan tindakan dan penyesuaian situasi, sehingga diperoleh hasil yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini juga didukung dengan metode penelitian lainnya; metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, metode eksperimen, dan metode imitasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penerapan teknik memainkan pianika kepada peserta didik adalah peserta didik mampu mempraktekkan teknik penjarian pada pertunjukan ensambel pianika dengan lagu Kampuang Nan Jauah Di Mato dan pada kegiatan drumband

Abstract

The song Ayah was created by Rinto Harahap. This song originates from the motivation of a child who is far from his father figure to seek knowledge and a future. This song was re-arranged by Albiner Purba, S.Sn for final work research in the form of a mixed ensemble which will be applied to students at SMKN 1 Padang Panjang. This ensemble uses musical instruments including Keyboard, Cajon, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Pianica, Flute, and Vocals. There are 8 players in this musical ensemble, consisting of 5 men and 3 women. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature, with an action research design approach and applying supporting methods: lectures, demonstrations, exercises, experiments, and evaluations. This research also uses data analysis techniques: searching and compiling data, organizing data, selecting data, and analyzing data. The results of this research show students' progress and knowledge in ensemble playing: they can regulate dynamics, tempo, discipline in playing, and play song material using instruments well and correctly. Apart from that, this research succeeded in realizing the achievements of the SMKN 1 Padangpanjang school curriculum, namely implementing sustainable practice habits and producing main ideas which were then directed to the presentation of musical works.

Abstract

The work entitled Sound of Rumbai Bridge is a work of electronic music using the concept of Sound Design which is applied to atmospheric objects on the Rumbai Bridge. This work is divided into two parts, namely the sound exploration process, where the artist takes sounds from activities that occur around the Rumbai Bridge, and the sound development process, where the creator develops the sounds that the creator has obtained. The process of creating the work Sound Of Rumbai Bridge includes Sound Design techniques, namely: Splicing, Looping, Panning, Automation Volume, Reverb, and Delay as well as equalizing. The results of the Sound Of Rumbai Bridge work will be in the form of stereo audio and video to support the work of Sound Of Rumbai Bridge.

Abstract

Temu Manten is a tradition in the traditional Javanese wedding procession. Temu Manten in Javanese means bring together bride and groom at the bride's residence in a part of traditional wedding processions. When the Temu Manten procession takes place, used Gending Kebo Giro as a music accompaniment at Temu Manten tradition. Gending Kebo Giro is played starting from the beginning of the procession until the Temu Manten tradition ends. Over time, the Temu Manten tradition in Bumi Mulya has undergone several significant changes, one of which is the change of musical accompaniment to the Temu Manten procession. Musical accompaniment which usually uses Gending Kebo Giro is currently replaced by Hadrah Sholawat Nabi Mahalul Qiyam. This study uses a qualitative research method using ethnography as a  approach. Data collection was carried out through literature study, observation, and interviews. Through the theory of change by Gerth and Mills as the main theory, the research results show that: changes in the use of gending to hadrah are caused by several factors including inter-ethnic marriage, the influence of Malay culture, and reasons for spending much amount of material.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country, has a variety of regional cultures that spread from Sabang to Merauke, spread over thousands of islands with various cultures. This order has changed with globalization and the development of science, technology and art (IPTEKS). This has an impact on inequality and injustice in the world of education. Education in general is the provision of knowledge, experience and skills to students so that they can form positive behavior and can build noble character in an effort to shape national civilization by taking into account the values ​​of cultural diversity. Music arts education provides knowledge, experience, and competence through 5 basic components, namely: expression, appreciation, creation, harmony, and beauty which are integrated with multicultural education. This article describes the role of music in multicultural education which can raise awareness and concern in building a multicultural learning community in schools.

Abstract

Learning Zapin Imam Berempat in the form of a mixed ensemble in high school N 1 Pinggir. The song is orchestrated using four kinds of instruments, piano, ballet, guitar, and kajon. This research uses the Action Reseach method. In data collection using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models of a spiral model in which there are Cycles 1 and Cycles II, when the problem is not solved then proceed to the next cycle until the problem has been solved. This research is done through phases, planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The results of this study show that the pupils in receiving learning are happy. I'm so excited, because this song of Zapin Imam Berempat is easy to accept by pupils. The students gained musical knowledge in particular in the form of an ensemble, so that the students were able to present Zapin Imam Berempat songs in an ensemble form in front of the audience.

Abstract

Propinsi Jambi merupakan salah satu bagian dari propinsi yang ada di Indonesia dan pernah diduduki oleh bangsa penjajah. Dampak penjajahan tersebut meninggalkan jejak-jejak yang masih tersisa hingga di Jambi, salah satu di antaranya bertemunya budaya musik yang berbeda. Musik yang berbeda itu menyatu dalam ruang baru, hingga memunculkan identitas yang baru pula akibat bertemunya dua unsur kebudayaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kebudayaan musik Jambi yang ada saat ini dipengaruhi kolonial, hingga menemukan identitasnya sendiri. Metode yang digunakan untuk itu data kualitatif. Hasilnya musik jambi "krinok adalah hasil percampuran alat musik, namun musik dari aspek bunyi menjadi identitasnya.Kata Kunci: Musik ; Krinok; Viul, Kolonial.ABSTRACTJambi Province is a part of the province in Indonesia and was once occupied by the colonizers. The impact of this colonization left traces that still remained in Jambi, one of which was the meeting of different musical cultures. These different kinds of music unite in a new space, thus creating a new identity as a result of the meeting of two cultural elements. The purpose of this study is to analyze Jambi's musical culture which is currently influenced by colonialism so that it finds its own identity. The method used for that data is qualitative. The result is Jambi music "krinok" is the result of mixing musical instruments, but music from the sound aspect becomes its identity.Keywords: Music ; Krinok; Viul, Colonial.

Abstract

Pertunjukan musik dari berbagai zaman seperti klasik, modern, melayu dan popular dibalut kedalam sebuah pertunjukan solis gitar dengan menggunakan teknik pertunjukan musik yang mengandung kaidah konvensional. Pertunjukan ini terdiri dari beberapa repertoar dari zaman yang bebeda. Repertoar pertama berasal dari zaman modern yang berjudul Elogio de la danza dengan komposer Leo Brower yang diciptakan pada tahun 1964. Repertoar kedua yaitu Nurlela yang dipopulerkan oleh Bing Slamet. Repertoar ketiga berjudul It’s a beautiful day dengan komposer Tohpati yang diciptakan pada tahun 2013. Penyaji mengaplikasikan berbagai teknik seperti tirando, arpegio, harmonic, apoyando, slur, golpe, dan rasgueado untuk mewujudkan pertunjukan yang sempurna.Kata Kunci: Pertunjukan; Gitar Klasik; Solis

Abstract

This research delves into the aesthetic elements of 'Khabar Mati,' a renowned folk theater performance in the Southern Coastal region. The study employs qualitative analysis with a descriptive method to decipher this traditional theatrical expression's intricate artistic and cultural dimensions. The research meticulously examines the narrative and performance aspects of 'Khabar Mati,' providing a comprehensive analysis of the text and its enactment on the stage. Through this in-depth investigation, the study aims to provide valuable insights into the rich aesthetics embedded within 'Khabar Mati.' The findings promise to shed light on the profound artistic heritage of the Southern Coastal communities, offering a deeper understanding of the cultural and aesthetic significance of this captivating folk theater tradition. By scrutinizing the textual and performative aspects, this research provides a holistic exploration of 'Khabar Mati,' contributing to a more comprehensive appreciation of its artistic and cultural merits.

Abstract

Provinsi Jambi merupakan daerah yang aktif sekali mengadakan berbagai macam bentuk kreatifitas remaja (pelajar), salah satunya adalah bidang musikalisasi puisi. Permasalahan yang selalu terjadi setiap perlombaan musikalisasi puisi dilaksanakan di Provinsi Jambi adalah adanya perselisihan antara peserta panitia dan juri lomba, sebagai bagian dari dinamika perlombaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Data didapatkan dengan observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa berbagai kelompok-kelompok musikalisasi puisi tumbuh dengan cepat, sehingga menimbulkan pengaruh yang besar terhadap keberlangsungan genre musikalisasi puisi di Provinsi Jambi. Kemudian, perlunya pembaharuan pada kriteria penilaian yang memuat: kelompok puisi dengan persentase 25%; kelompok musik dengan persentase 25%; Keselarasan dengan persentase 10%; konsep dengan persentase 20%; dan Genre yang terdiri dari perubahan dari puisi ke musik menemukan musikalisasi puisi sebesar 20%.
