Abstract

The widespread circulation of “fear of marriage” narratives on social media has intensified public discourse on intimate relationships and raised concerns about shifting marital perceptions among Generation Z. This study examines the relationship between social media exposure, perceptions of negative marriage-related issues, and marriage preferences among Generation Z. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using accidental sampling. Data were collected from 390 undergraduate students from Universitas Pakuan, IPB University, and Universitas Ibn Khaldun in Bogor City, Indonesia, through a structured questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation tests were applied. The findings reveal a weak but significant positive correlation between social media exposure and marriage preference (r = 0.164; p = 0.001), and a significant negative correlation between perceptions of negative issues such as domestic violence, financial burden, and infidelity and marriage preference (r = −0.238; p = 0.000). Notably, 95.92% of respondents reported positive marriage preferences. This study contributes to communication scholarship by demonstrating that social media does not reduce Generation Z’s intention to marry, but instead shapes more selective and rational marital decision-making within digital meaning-construction processes.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the impact of learning interest and motivation on Final Semester Examination (UAS) outcomes in the Light Vehicle Electrical Maintenance course at SMK Negeri 4 Pariaman. The study used a quantitative methodology using a correlational design. The population included all 26 students in class XI Automotive Engineering, using a saturation sample approach. Research tools included Likert scale questionnaires to assess learning interest and motivation, together with UAS score recording. The data analysis used multiple linear regression facilitated by SPSS. The findings indicated that: (1) learning interest did not significantly affect UAS results (sig. 0.424 > 0.05); (2) learning motivation did not significantly affect UAS results (sig. 0.340 > 0.05); and (3) the combined effect of learning interest and motivation did not significantly affect UAS results (F = 0.495; sig. 0.616 > 0.05), with a R² value of merely 4.1%. The results suggest that elements such as the quality of practical facilities, instructor ability, and instructional strategies have a more significant effect in student learning outcomes in productive disciplines.Keywords: Learning Interest, Learning Motivation, Learning Outcomes, Light Vehicle Electrical, Vocational High School

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution of factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive knowledge levels in Final Semester Examination (UAS) questions for automotive productive subjects created by teachers at State Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Padang City. This research employs a quantitative descriptive design with a single variable of knowledge level based on Anderson's taxonomy. The research objects include 160 multiple-choice questions from the even semester UAS 2024/2025 from four State Vocational High Schools in Padang (SMKN 1 West Sumatra, SMKN 1 Padang, SMKN 5 Padang, and SMKN 8 Padang). The research instrument uses knowledge level analysis sheets based on operational verbs and question contexts. Data analysis techniques employ quantitative descriptive analysis by calculating the percentage of each knowledge level. The results show the overall distribution of knowledge levels: conceptual 49.375% (79 questions), procedural 18.75% (30 questions), factual 16.25% (26 questions), and metacognitive 15.625% (25 questions). There are significant variations among schools, particularly at SMKN 1 Padang with 70% conceptual dominance and SMKN 5 Padang with 30% metacognitive. Compared to BSNP (2018) recommendations, significant deviations occur where conceptual far exceeds standards (49.375% vs 10-20%) and procedural is below standards (18.75% vs 50-60%). However, these differences can be explained by the characteristics of vocational education that integrates written and practical assessments. This study recommends the need for teacher training in developing Bloom taxonomy-based questions, developing standardized question banks, and adjusting knowledge level distribution standards specific to vocational education.Keywords: knowledge levels, Anderson's taxonomy, final examination questions, automotive vocational education, HOTS

Abstract

Penggunaan sepeda motor di Indonesia terus meningkat, memicu dua masalah utama: keterbatasan bahan bakar fosil dan meningkatnya polusi udara. Penelitian sebelumnya banyak menyoroti dampak lingkungan, namun aspek ketahanan mesin belum dikaji secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kombinasi busi platinum, pengapian +2°, biogasoline E25, dan sistem Water Injection berbasis ultrasonic mist maker terhadap durabilitas mesin sepeda motor empat langkah. Metode eksperimen dilakukan dengan membandingkan kondisi standar (pertalite) dan perlakuan kombinasi selama 110 jam operasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan signifikan massa deposit karbon dari 680 mg menjadi 260 mg serta volume dari 378 mm³ menjadi 144 mm³, atau pengurangan lebih dari 61%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa kombinasi biogasoline dan Water Injection tidak hanya mengurangi pembentukan deposit karbon, tetapi juga berpotensi memperpanjang usia pakai mesin serta mendukung teknologi transportasi ramah lingkungan. The rapid increase in motorcycle use in Indonesia has created two major challenges: fossil fuel depletion and rising air pollution. While previous studies mainly focused on environmental impacts, engine durability remains underexplored. This study aims to evaluate the effects of combining platinum spark plugs, +2° ignition timing, E25 biogasoline, and a Water Injection system using an ultrasonic mist maker on the durability of four-stroke motorcycle engines. An experimental method was conducted by comparing standard conditions (pertalite) with the combined treatment over 110 hours of operation. Results indicated a significant reduction in carbon deposits, with mass decreasing from 680 mg to 260 mg and volume from 378 mm³ to 144 mm³, representing a reduction of over 61%. These findings highlight that the integration of biogasoline and Water Injection not only reduces carbon deposit formation but also extends engine lifespan and supports environmentally friendly transportation technologies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh pemasangan catalytic converter aftermarket berbahan stainless steel (Brand KR 49 Racing, diameter 50 mm) terhadap kadar emisi gas buang karbon monoksida (CO) dan hidrokarbon (HC) pada sepeda motor Honda Beat FI seri KZL tahun 2014. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan dua kondisi pengujian, yaitu knalpot standar tanpa catalytic converter dan knalpot dengan catalytic converter, pada tiga variasi putaran mesin (1600, 2500, dan 6000 rpm) dengan tiga kali pengulangan pada setiap kondisi. Emisi CO (%) dan HC (ppm) diukur menggunakan exhaust gas analyzer. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemasangan catalytic converter menurunkan rata-rata CO dari 5,16% menjadi 4,40% (1600 rpm), 0,93% menjadi 0,54% (2500 rpm), dan 0,51% menjadi 0,37% (6000 rpm). Rata-rata HC juga menurun dari 279 ppm menjadi 209 ppm (1600 rpm), 91 ppm menjadi 75 ppm (2500 rpm), dan 39 ppm menjadi 37 ppm (6000 rpm), dengan persentase penurunan rata-rata HC berturut-turut 25,08%, 17,58%, dan 5,12%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa catalytic converter berbahan stainless steel berpotensi menurunkan emisi CO dan HC pada konfigurasi pengujian yang digunakan. This study evaluates the effect of installing an aftermarket stainless-steel catalytic converter (Brand KR 49 Racing, 50 mm diameter) on carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) exhaust emissions of a 2014 Honda Beat FI KZL-series motorcycle. An experimental design was applied under two conditions: a standard exhaust without a catalytic converter and an exhaust equipped with the catalytic converter, tested at three engine speeds (1600, 2500, and 6000 rpm) with three repetitions per condition. CO (%) and HC (ppm) were measured using an exhaust gas analyzer. The results show that the catalytic converter reduced mean CO from 5.16% to 4.40% (1600 rpm), from 0.93% to 0.54% (2500 rpm), and from 0.51% to 0.37% (6000 rpm). Mean HC decreased from 279 ppm to 209 ppm (1600 rpm), from 91 ppm to 75 ppm (2500 rpm), and from 39 ppm to 37 ppm (6000 rpm), corresponding to mean HC reductions of 25.08%, 17.58%, and 5.12%, respectively. These findings indicate that a stainless-steel catalytic converter can reduce CO and HC emissions under the tested conditions.

Abstract

Perawatan sistem Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) sepeda motor matic 4 tak menuntut penguasaan keterampilan prosedural yang sistematis dan kemampuan troubleshooting yang akurat, namun keterbatasan waktu praktik dan variasi kemampuan peserta didik sering menghambat pencapaian kompetensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mensintesis bukti empiris mengenai efektivitas video pembelajaran (instructional video/video-based learning) dalam mendukung pembelajaran keterampilan prosedural pada pendidikan teknik dan vokasi sebagai dasar pengembangan video perawatan CVT. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review dengan protokol PRISMA 2020. Data diperoleh dari database Scopus (n = 1087) dan diseleksi melalui tahap identifikasi, penyaringan judul dan abstrak, penilaian kelayakan, hingga diperoleh 50 artikel untuk dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas video pembelajaran ditentukan oleh penerapan prinsip desain instruksional berbasis multimedia, seperti segmentasi, signaling, dan pengelolaan beban kognitif, serta implementasi melalui pendekatan blended dan flipped learning untuk mengoptimalkan waktu praktik. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan video CVT berbasis bukti dengan demonstrasi prosedural terstruktur dan integrasi aktivitas belajar berpotensi meningkatkan kompetensi otomotif serta relevansi pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan industri bengkel.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi teknis seperti Motor Starter di SMK mendorong perlunya inovasi media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan kontekstual. Augmented Reality (AR) muncul sebagai teknologi yang mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar imersif dengan menggabungkan objek virtual ke dalam lingkungan nyata secara real-time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis AR terhadap minat dan hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan publikasi ilmiah periode 2020–2025. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pedoman PRISMA 2020. Pencarian dilakukan pada database Scopus menggunakan enam kombinasi kata kunci berbasis AR dan pembelajaran; dari 1.111 artikel yang teridentifikasi, diperoleh 50 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi melalui proses screening dan penilaian eligibility full-text. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) implementasi AR secara konsisten meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan effect size sedang hingga tinggi (d = 0,41–1,24); (2) AR efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar melalui pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan imersif; (3) efektivitas AR dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan pedagogis, desain aplikasi, dan karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa AR merupakan media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa di berbagai jenjang pendidikan, dan berpotensi besar untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran Motor Starter di SMK.

Abstract

The rising adoption of aftermarket devices in the car modification industry has heightened interest in the piggyback throttle controller as an effective means of modifying throttle response without substituting the original ECU. Nonetheless, its impact on torque and power remains inadequately substantiated through controlled experimentation. This study experimentally assessed the impact of a 9-Drive piggyback throttle controller on the performance parameters of a 2011 Toyota Yaris 1500 cc EFI engine utilizing a chassis dynamometer. The car underwent testing under four conditions: no treatment, Standard mode, F1 mode, and ECO mode, with each condition replicated three times. The findings indicated that F1 mode generated the maximum average torque, attaining 177.13 Nm, which was 15.03 Nm greater than the untreated condition. Conversely, ECO mode yielded the highest average power at 98.60 HP, whereas Standard mode exhibited just negligible variations in both metrics. The data demonstrate that the controller did not produce a consistent performance enhancement across all modes, but instead altered the engine's output characteristics in a mode-dependent fashion. Under the current testing conditions, F1 mode exhibited a more pronounced torque-oriented response, while ECO mode demonstrated marginally greater power output. The findings indicate that a piggyback throttle controller can alter engine response characteristics, however its impact must be assessed in relation to the chosen mode and the particular performance metric under evaluation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Perawatan Mesin Kendaraan Ringan (PMKR) serta perlunya media pembelajaran digital yang lebih interaktif untuk mendukung kemandirian belajar dan daya pikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penggunaan modul ajar berbasis iSpring Suite terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar, kemandirian belajar, dan daya pikir kritis siswa kelas XI TKR di SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, tes pretest–posttest, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 25,00% pada pretest siklus I menjadi 71,88% pada posttest siklus I, lalu meningkat menjadi 84,38% pada posttest siklus II. Nilai praktikalitas modul mencapai 76,03% dengan kategori praktis. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis iSpring Suite layak digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran PMKR yang lebih interaktif dan berpusat pada siswa. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance (PMKR) and the need for more interactive digital learning media to support students’ self-directed learning and critical thinking. This study aimed to analyze the use of an iSpring Suite-based teaching module in improving learning outcomes, self-directed learning, and critical thinking of Grade XI TKR students at SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. The study employed a quantitative approach using a two-cycle Classroom Action Research design. The subjects consisted of 32 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, pretest–posttest tests, and documentation. The results showed that learning mastery increased from 25.00% in the pretest of cycle I to 71.88% in the posttest of cycle I, and further increased to 84.38% in the posttest of cycle II. The module practicality score reached 76.03%, categorized as practical. These findings indicate that the iSpring Suite-based teaching module is feasible for supporting more interactive and student-centered PMKR instruction.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) on the trends, design, and effectiveness of instructional videos in the context of education, procedural learning, and vocational education relevant to the development of steering, brake, and suspension system maintenance materials on 4-stroke cub motorcycles. The data source comes from a Scopus tabulation of 1,400 records. Selection was carried out using the PRISMA 2020 flow based on article metadata (title, author, year, source, document type, and citation). After duplications were removed, screening was limited to articles/reviews from the 2020–2025 period, then thematic relevance screening was carried out to obtain 50 articles for the final synthesis. The review results indicate four dominant themes, namely: (1) instructional video design and effectiveness; (2) interactivity, flipped learning, and YouTube; (3) VR/AR and practicum media; and (4) TVET/vocational and implementation readiness. The synthesis shows that effective instructional videos are characterized by good material segmentation, appropriate visual cues, proportional instructor presence, planned interactivity, and integration with practical or reflection tasks. Furthermore, VR/AR has the potential to enhance procedural learning, but requires cognitive load management. In a vocational context, the quality of implementation is strongly influenced by teachers' digital competencies, digital pedagogical policies, and the relevance of job skills. These findings lead to recommendations for developing automotive learning videos that are concise, procedural, multimodal, problem-based, and integrated with practical evaluation.Keywords: learning videos, instructional videos, vocational education, TVET, PRISMA 2020, virtual reality, YouTube, automotive
