Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of information technology management in improving public services in Sesumpu Village. With a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the application of information technology has accelerated the administrative process, increased communication efficiency, and strengthened coordination between village officials. Supporting factors include government support, enthusiasm of village officials, and community participation. However, obstacles such as limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, and low digital literacy are still major challenges. The recommended strategies include developing online service applications, increasing internet network capacity, continuous staff training, and educating the community to improve the use of technology. These findings demonstrate the importance of a strategic and inclusive approach to information technology management in order to create more efficient and transparent public services.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatari oleh masih banyak guru yang tidak memahami jenis dan karakteristik gangguan belajar spesifik (disleksia) pada peserta didik sehingga mereka cenderung melabeli peserta didiknya dengan label “bodoh” atau semisalnya. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sosialisasi kepada para guru mengenai gangguan belajar spesifik di kalangan peserta didik dengan melibatkan profesional psikolog sehingga para guru juga bisa mengambil langkah-langkah dalam menangani kasus gangguan belajar yang dialami peserta didiknya. Selain berbicara persoalan gangguan belajar, juga dibicarakan perihal pembelajaran yang berpihak kepada peserta didik: pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dan pembelajaran yang tanggap budaya. Berdasarkan hasil post-test, hasil sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa para guru telah bisa mengetahui, memahami, dan menjelaskan jenis-jenis gangguan belajar pada peserta didik, ciri-ciri peserta didik yang mengalami gangguan belajar, dan asbab terjadinya gangguan belajar pada peserta didik. Adanya pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang gangguan belajar (yang dialami peserta didik) berimplikasi pada kesadaran para guru SMPN 1 Jerowaru untuk melakukan pembelajaran yang berpihak pada peserta didiknya mulai dari penyususan perangkat pembelajaran hingga evaluasinya. Disarankan agar penyuluhan psikoedukasi kesehatan mental untuk para guru dan peserta didik semacam ini rutin dilakukan sebagai upaya menciptakan pembelajaran yang berpihak pada peserta didik dan pembaharuan informasi terkait ragam kerangka strategi dalam pembelajaran, serta perlu melibatkan orang tua dan profesional untuk membantu guru dalam menghadapi peserta didik yang mengalami gangguan belajar spesifik disleksia ini.

Abstract

Pelatihan aplikasi manajemen referensi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir, terutama dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi penulisan ilmiah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Akuntansi UNISBAR. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis dalam mengelola referensi akademik. Metode yang digunakan mencakup ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam menyusun daftar pustaka, mengelola dokumen ilmiah, dan mengoptimalkan fitur-fitur kolaborasi dalam aplikasi. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan penggunaan Mendeley efektif dalam membantu mahasiswa mengatasi tantangan pengelolaan referensi dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas tugas akhir. Artikel ini merekomendasikan agar pelatihan serupa diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum untuk meningkatkan literasi digital mahasiswa.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a fundamental competence in 21st-century education, particularly in mathematics, where students frequently encounter contradictory information that requires logical reasoning and reflective judgment. This study explores the stages of critical thinking among junior high school students when solving contradictory mathematical problems. A qualitative descriptive design was employed, involving two eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 01 Sumber Pucung, Malang, who were selected based on their skeptical responses to illogical mathematical tasks. Data were collected through open-ended tests and interviews, then analyzed to capture reasoning patterns and problem-solving strategies. The findings revealed three distinct stages of mathematical critical thinking: (1) Initial Stage (interpretation), where anomalies are sensed; (2) Tracing Stage (analysis), where contradictions are identified; and (3) Global View Stage (evaluation and inference), where holistic reasoning and alternative solutions are proposed. Subject 1 demonstrated conceptual awareness, cognitive flexibility, and evaluative rigor, while Subject 2 showed procedural accuracy but limited inferential precision. These findings suggest that contradictory problems can serve as effective instructional tools for balancing procedural and conceptual reasoning. Practical implications highlight the need for integrating contradictory problems into mathematics instruction to promote metacognitive reflection. Future research should expand participant diversity, employ longitudinal and experimental designs, and explore affective dispositions influencing students’ critical engagement.

Abstract

Accounting students essentially learn the process of preparing financial statements for companies. Among the various accounts in financial statements, one is the fixed asset account. When calculating fixed assets, depreciation expenses must be considered, as asset values can decrease over time. This training aims to enhance students' understanding and compare the straight-line method applied in Indonesia with the MACRS method used in the United States. Calculating depreciation using MACRS is not taught in accounting courses. However, in line with our objectives, we are conducting this training to calculate depreciation expenses and compare the two methods to analyze their implications for gross profit. The methods employed in this activity are lectures and discussions. It is expected that through this program, students will broaden their knowledge and gain insight into how depreciation expense calculations differ between countries. The financial statements to be used in this activity are from PT Unilever Tbk.

Abstract

The development of Islamic da’wah in the digital era presents new challenges for Islamic organizations in producing preachers (da’i) who are not only knowledgeable but also adaptive to social, technological, and cultural transformations. The fragmentation between formal and non-formal education in many da’wah institutions has weakened the continuity between the spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects of preacher formation. In this context, Wahdah Islamiyah becomes a significant case to study, as it has successfully developed a cadre system that integrates education, training, and da’wah in a holistic and systematic manner. This study aims to analyze the da’wah and preacher training system of Wahdah Islamiyah as a comprehensive model of institutional da’wah. The research employs a library-based qualitative approach with critical analysis of primary and secondary sources, including relevant previous studies. The results indicate that Wahdah Islamiyah successfully integrates da’wah bil lisan (preaching by speech), bil hal (by action), and bil qalam (by writing) within a multi-level and structured cadre system oriented toward character formation. This model emphasizes three main educational dimensions—ruhiyah (spiritual), tsaqafiyah (intellectual), and jasadiyah (physical)—which are crystallized into five core cadre characteristics: mu’min, mushlih, mujahid, muta’awin, and mutqin. The study highlights a key novelty: Wahdah Islamiyah perceives da’wah not merely as a spiritual activity but as an educational, social, and cultural strategy that aligns with the needs and challenges of the digital age. The findings contribute conceptually and practically to the development of da’wah organization strategies, the strengthening of Islamic education, and the formulation of contextual and inclusive religious policies. [Perkembangan dakwah Islam di era digital menghadirkan tantangan baru bagi organisasi Islam dalam melahirkan kader da’i yang tidak hanya berwawasan keilmuan, tetapi juga adaptif terhadap perubahan sosial, teknologi, dan budaya global. Fragmentasi antara pendidikan formal dan non-formal di berbagai lembaga dakwah menyebabkan lemahnya kesinambungan antara aspek spiritual, intelektual, dan sosial kader da’i. Dalam konteks tersebut, Wahdah Islamiyah menarik untuk dikaji karena berhasil mengembangkan sistem kaderisasi yang memadukan pendidikan, pembinaan, dan dakwah secara integral. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sistem dakwah dan kaderisasi da’i Wahdah Islamiyah sebagai model dakwah institusional yang komprehensif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan analisis kritis terhadap literatur primer dan sekunder, termasuk temuan penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah berhasil mengintegrasikan dakwah bil lisan, bil hal, dan bil qalam dalam sistem kaderisasi da’i yang berjenjang, sistematis, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter. Model kaderisasi ini menekankan tiga dimensi utama pendidikan, yaitu ruhiyah, tsaqafiyah, dan jasadiyah, yang kemudian dikristalisasi dalam lima karakter inti kader: mu’min, mushlih, mujahid, muta’awin, dan mutqin. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan kebaruan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah tidak hanya memandang dakwah sebagai aktivitas spiritual, tetapi juga sebagai strategi pendidikan, sosial, dan kultural yang relevan dengan kebutuhan serta tantangan era digital. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual dan praktis bagi pengembangan strategi organisasi dakwah, penguatan pendidikan Islam, dan perumusan kebijakan keagamaan yang kontekstual serta inklusif.]

Abstract

There were several geotechnical problems at the textile factory in Bale Endah. The main problem that arose at this factory was the settlement of the soft clay soil which resulted in deformation of the tiled floor and warping of the west wall of the factory as well as cracking and collapse of the culvert in the drainage system at the location of the center column of the factory. The soil stratification at this location was dominated by soft to stiff clay layers and a sand lens layer was also found at 9-12 m depth. Therefore, the relative subsidence was more determined by the consolidation settlement of the clay. In addition to the problem of clay settlement, another problem arises, namely the problem of negative skin friction on the pile foundation. This occurs because there is an embankment on top of the clay soil which results in additional load on the soil, so that the soil settlement becomes greater than the settlement of the pile foundation. The analysis showed that the total settlement of the clay consolidation was 35.60 cm within 12.00 years and the total settlement of the pile foundation with a column load of 16.72 tons was 10.44 cm. Due to negative blanket friction, the pile foundation used is not strong enough to withstand the working load. The location of the neutral point is at a depth of 23.25-28 m for a pile foundation length of 30 m deep.
