Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of school culture on student characteristics. School culture includes values, norms, habits, and practices that are carried out by all school residents, including principals, teachers, staff, and students. The characteristics of the students in question include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects that reflect their academic, emotional, and social development. This research was carried out qualitatively with a descriptive approach. The subject of the research is junior high school students and the object of the research investigated is an effort to find out the influence of school culture on the characteristics of students. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and verification (drawing conclusions). The results of the study showed that the overall score of the questionnaire results that had been distributed to the respondents was 20 respondents, with 13 questionnaire questions so that the result or overall score was 1,325. As for the influence of school culture on student characteristics, which is 60% - 79.99% (agree, like or like), it can be said that school culture has a positive influence on students

Abstract

This research aims to develop multimedia-based speaking teaching materials and test their effect on junior high school students’ learning motivation. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The results of the research show that the use of multimedia-based speaking teaching materials is effective in increasing students’ interest in active participation and learning motivation. Multimedia is considered to be able to make learning more interesting, interactive and fun compared to conventional learning. These findings emphasize the important role of teachers in utilizing multimedia technology to create effective learning and can motivate students in speaking skills. Support from the school and other stakeholders is also needed to facilitate teachers in developing and implementing multimedia-based speaking teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching module for Indonesian language subjects on poetry analysis for eighth-grade students at Idanoi Private Junior High School. This study uses qualitative methods. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, and using the Borg and Gall model, namely (Introduction (Research and Information Collecting), Planning Research (Planning), Design Development (Develop Preliminary of Product), Preliminary Field Testing, Revision of Limited Field Test Results (Main Product Revision), Main Field Test, Revision of Wider Field Test Results (Operational Product Revision), Feasibility Testing (Operational Field Testing), Final Revision of Feasibility Test Results (Final Product Revision), Dissemination and Implementation of the Final Product (Dissemination and Implementation). The subjects of this study were eighth-grade students of Idanoi Private Junior High School. The results showed that the poetry analysis teaching module developed was declared to have very good feasibility based on validation from three experts: material experts reaching (76.2%), language experts reaching (74%), and design experts reaching (85.7%). The practicality of the developed media was assessed through student response questionnaires in small group trials reaching (87%), which indicates that this media is very practical to use in learning. The effectiveness of the developed media was measured by the results of student learning tests, which showed a percentage of completeness reaching 70% with an average score of 90, which meets the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria. it can be concluded that the Teaching Module is feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning Poetry material at Idanoi Private Junior High School.
