Abstract

Research on the competencies needed by fishermen in an era of increasingly rapid technological progress aims to explain the basic competencies that electric propulsion boat users need to have. Analysis based on implementation needs to be carried out with the aim of adapting the use of water transportation technology, namely ships with electric power, according to the required competencies. This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach method with a literature study type of research. The research was carried out by collecting data from secondary sources such as books and journal articles related to the variables and subjects of this research. From the research results, a comparison was obtained between the abilities currently possessed by fishermen, and the abilities that fishermen must have in the future in facing developments in water transportation. It is known that, in terms of use, users need to understand the use of electric propulsion ships and K3 in their application, in terms of understanding more about the main components of the technology used, in terms of maintenance being able to repair and maintain the components, and understanding the social impacts that occur as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using them. Therefore, efforts are needed to educate the public so that they can easily receive clear information about electric propulsion ship technology, so that the results of the development of this technology can be accepted by the general public.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan efisiensi dan keandalan operasional, serta memastikan kepatuhan terhadap standar industri yang berkaitan, PT Pachira Distrinusa berkeinginan untuk mengembangkan mesin heating tank berbahan Stainless Steel 304. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas lebih dalam terkait penggunaan stainless steel 304 sebagai bahan utama dalam pembuatan mesin heating tank di PT Pachira Distrinusa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan survey dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara serta melakukan studi literatur. Hasil pada penelitian ini yaitu PT Pachira Distrinusa menggunakan stainless steel 304 untuk membuat mesin heating tank ini adalah karena stainless steel 304 sudah food grade serta harga yang relatif murah dengan kualitas yang baik dibanding bahan yang lain, serta sifatnya yang tahan korosi serta minim perawatan. Material ini optimal karena memenuhi kebutuhan akan ketahanan terhadap korosi, efisiensi biaya, serta standar food-grade, dan juga menawarkan kemudahan dalam fabrikasi dan perawatannya

Abstract

In this modern era, technology is progressing rapidly, including welding techniques. In this welding process, a welder has a manual called WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). The role of WPS in welding is very important, this is because WPS is made to achieve good welding results and according to what is desired. Therefore, research regarding the suitability of WPS with welding results was carried out. This study uses an experimental method by performing GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) welding in the 1G position and the test process is carried out with a bending test. This bending test process is carried out to find out whether the WPS used is in accordance with the desired results or not. In the bending test results that have been carried out by welding experiments twice, the bending test results are 3.528 kN/mm 2 . In this welding process, more optimal results were obtained using the amperage parameters of 94A – 106A and a voltage of 23 V – 25 V. In this process no visual welding defects were found so that this WPS could be used by trainees.

Abstract

The Field Work Practice Program is prepared by educational institutions and the industrial sector. This program is designed to contribute to the vocational school students' development. However, the implementation of Field Work Practices faces several problems that affect its effectiveness. This research was conducted to evaluate the Field Work Practices in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at State Vocational High School 7 Serang City in terms of the Preparation (Antecedent), Implementation (Transaction), and Results (Outcomes) stages. This research is a mixed method evaluative research (combination method), using an explanatory sequential approach. In this study, the student population was 68, so the sample size was 68 students and 4 teachers. All Field Work Practice Student preparation consists of Regular Learning and debriefing which resulted in 82% being in the very good category, then 68 students found that 84.02% were in the very good category. The entire implementation of Field Work Practice (Transaction) which consists of the Work Orientation and Competency Period, from the teacher's perception, obtained results of 84% in the very good category and from student perception 33% in the sufficient category. After implementing the Field Work Practice (Outcomes) there was a School Assessment and Industrial Assessment, from the teacher's perception the results were 88% in the good category and from the students' perceptions the results were 81% in the sufficient category. All indicators of the Field Work Practice preparation stages (Antecedents) are considered sufficient. The implementation stages (Transactions) are considered good, but there are still shortcomings where when carrying out Field Work Practice students are still not disciplined which causes the school to be blacklisted for more than 1 year from several industries. The results of the Field Work Practice (Outcomes) evaluation were declared good.

Abstract

 Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan belajar praktik pengelasan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang dengan menggunakan angket yang disebarkan di kelas 11 Teknik Pengelasan dengan jumlah siswa 51 orang dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin (10%). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji regresi linear sederhana, dan uji parsial. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah R2 0,495 (49,5%) dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang berarti 0,000 0,05 maka Ha (Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara lingkungan belajar (X) terhadap hasil belajar (Y).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh mengetahui lingkungan belajar praktik pengelasan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang. Abstract

PT Tunas Toyota serang ialah salah satu dealer dan sebagai perusahaan otomotif. Permasalahan kinerja karyawan sangat penting diketahui karena berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, yang mana ada dalam motto perusahaan. Kinerja karyawan ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja para karyawan. Adapun untuk permasalahan yang muncul ialah kinerja karyawan yang tidak sesuai, sehingga mempengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan Motivasi Kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Tunas Toyota Serang dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, yaitu metode observasi dan metode wawancara secara langsung pada karyawan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan di PT Tunas Toyota Serang dengan menerapkan gaya partisipative management dan mampu mengendalikan karyawan dapat mempengaruhi agar kinerja karyawan menjadi lebih baik, serta motivasi kerja yang diberikan secara langsung oleh pemimpin dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan, Motivasi, Kinerja.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) textbook to enhance student engagement and cognitive abilities, assess its feasibility, and evaluate its impact on learning outcomes. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The subjects included 32 Grade XI TPL students at SMKN 2 Kota Serang, along with one media expert and one material expert as validators. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, engagement observation sheets, and pretest–posttest assessments. The developed textbook is aligned with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) and structured using a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, complemented by Welding Procedure Specifications, job sheets, run sheets, and visual assessment rubrics. The feasibility results indicate a fair rating from the media expert (64%) and a high rating from the material expert (94%). Student responses were very positive (83%). Cognitive improvement reached a moderate level (N-Gain = 0.6), and student engagement was categorized as very active (76%), indicating the textbook’s effectiveness as a learning medium.

Abstract

The development of manufacturing technology requires vocational schools toadapt to industrial changes. One rapidly developing technology is 3D printing,which can produce prototypes quickly, precisely, and at a relatively affordablecost. SMK Negeri 1 Kragilan, as a school located in the Serang industrial area,strives to optimize the Teaching Factory through the integration of thistechnology. This community service activity is carried out in the form of 3Dprinting training for teachers and students, with the aim of improving technicalcompetency while supporting the transformation of vocational learning. Thetraining method is participatory with a hands-on approach, including anintroduction to design software, 3D printer operation, and the creation ofsimple products. Evaluation is carried out through a Likert-scale questionnaire,product documentation, and participant testimonials. The training resultsshowed significant improvements in aspects of material understanding(average 4.3), technical skills after training (4.4), and benefits for work (4.7).Participants successfully produced five product prototypes, including souvenirs,mobile phone casings, miniature buildings, gear models, and key chains.Participant testimonials confirm that the training is beneficial, although there isstill input regarding the need for more practice time. This activity confirmedthat 3D printing training not only improves the technical skills of teachers andstudents but also opens up opportunities for product innovation within theTeaching Factory environment. These results provide a starting point fordeveloping digital technology-based creative entrepreneurship in vocationalschools.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the appropriateness of implementing P5 at SMKN 5 in Tangerang District from the perspectives of context, input, process, and product. The study's findings inform SMKN 5 and other schools that wish to implement P5. The study's participants comprise 91 P5 students who completed a questionnaire, three students who participated in interviews, nine teachers, and three interview informants. This study employs the CIPP (context, input, process, product) evaluation method, a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observations, and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings show that: 1) the context is appropriate based on the interviews and observations; 2) the input appropriateness is scored 4.28 (86%) by teachers and 3.81 (76%) by students; 3) the process appropriateness is scored 4.37 (87%) by teachers and 4.16 (83%) by students; 4) the product appropriateness is scored 4.42 (88%) by teachers and 4.27 (85%) by the students; 5) the overall appropriateness is scored 4.36 (87%) by teachers and 4.08 (82%) by students. The evaluation results indicate that the implementation of P5 at SMKN 5 in Tangerang District is considered appropriate. The recommendations include updating the P5 guidelines, developing a holistic evaluation and an interactive teaching method, matching P5 projects to students' competence levels, and enhancing communication with stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' understanding of the blended learning model and their perceptions in implementing blended learning. This study is a survey study with a quantitative approach with data obtained through interviews with several teachers, journals or scientific articles, and documents or files related to teachers' understanding of the blended learning model. While the data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive to describe and explain the overall data that will be concluded at the end of the study. This study concluded that some teachers do not understand the blended learning model, which indirectly means some teachers are still not ready to implement the blended learning model. The results of this study are expected to be used as a benchmark in improving teacher quality in learning and as a reference for further research on blended learning.
