Abstract

Pendidikan saat ini menghadapi kompleksitas dengan tuntutan agar siswa mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21. Guru di sekolah dasar, sebagai pemimpin utama dalam pembentukan pondasi pendidikan, mungkin belum sepenuhnya siap mengintegrasikan keterampilan tersebut dalam pembelajaran sains. Tantangan termasuk pemahaman konsep sains modern, penggabungan keterampilan abad ke-21, dan motivasi siswa. Keterbatasan akses terhadap sumber daya sains juga menjadi hambatan dalam menciptakan pembelajaran interaktif. Kegiatan pendampingan literasi sains bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran sains dan mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada siswa. Dengan pendampingan intensif, diharapkan guru dapat mengatasi hambatan dalam mengajar sains, meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat siswa, serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan menarik. Kegiatan ini mendukung MBKM melalui partisipasi mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan yang memberikan wawasan baru dan membantu guru. Ini juga memungkinkan mahasiswa menerapkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perguruan tinggi secara praktis di sekolah dasar. Fokus pada pemberdayaan guru untuk mengintegrasikan keterampilan abad ke-21 diharapkan menciptakan perubahan signifikan dalam pendidikan dasar, meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran sains, dan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi masa depan yang kompleks

Abstract

Rendahnya kesadaran terhadap literasi di Indonesia tercermin dalam peringkat rendah negara ini dalam survei UNESCO dan PISA, menempatkannya di peringkat 60 dari 61 dan 74 dari 76 negara, secara berturut-turut. Minat membaca rendah, terutama di kalangan siswa, dapat mengurangi mutu pendidikan, terutama selama pandemi Covid-19 di mana siswa cenderung lebih memilih bermain game daripada membaca. Dampak negatif penggunaan teknologi oleh siswa, yang mengurangi waktu untuk membaca, menjadi tantangan bagi orang tua dan sekolah. Observasi di SDN 04 Rambutan, Jakarta Timur, menunjukkan rendahnya minat membaca siswa, terutama setelah pandemi, dengan kemajuan teknologi di pulau belum dimanfaatkan sebaiknya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diarahkan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa, terutama melalui kegiatan pendampingan membaca, dengan harapan mengembangkan literasi membaca, kreativitas, imajinasi, dan pengetahuan siswa serta mendorong penggunaan teknologi dengan bijak sebagai alat untuk membaca ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengulas efektivitas pendampingan pembuatan alat peraga IPA berbasis sel surya. Metode yang diadopsi melibatkan dua tahap utama: demonstrasi praktis tentang pembuatan alat peraga dan praktek langsung oleh peserta, disusul dengan pengisian angket untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman dan kepuasan mereka terhadap kegiatan tersebut. Analisis hasil angket menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep energi terbarukan dan motivasi belajar siswa, sambil juga mencatat tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap proses pendampingan ini. Pembahasan lebih lanjut menyoroti pengaruh positif dari pendampingan ini terhadap pemahaman siswa tentang konsep energi terbarukan serta kemampuan mereka dalam menerapkannya, dengan data yang secara jelas menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dari sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pendampingan. Dari sini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendampingan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman, kepuasan, dan motivasi siswa dalam mempelajari IPA, sambil juga membantu mereka mengembangkan minat yang lebih dalam pada aplikasi ilmu pengetahuan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kesimpulan yang didapat menekankan pentingnya adopsi pendekatan praktis dan interaktif dalam pembelajaran konsep-konsep ilmiah yang kompleks, terutama di tingkat dasar, untuk merangsang minat siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman mereka secara menyeluruh terhadap materi yang diajarkan.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine and assess the progress of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching factory learning to enhance the digital skills of vocational high school (SMK) students in the province of Central Java. This study employed a qualitative approach utilizing metaethnography, as well as a quantitative approach employing Aiken’s V formula and strength, weakness, opportunity, threat (SWOT) analysis to identify and analyze the issues that arise. The present study examines the locations of SMKN 2 Purbalingga and SMKS Telkom in Central Java. Furthermore, relevant documentation was also utilized as a source of data. The research findings indicate that the implementation of AI in teaching manufacturing learning has effectively facilitated the development of an online learning management system. This system is characterized by its organized and integrated approach inside the online learning management system. The administration of teaching materials may be conducted autonomously and facilitated by the utilization of diverse information and communication technology or e-learning functionalities, including chat, email, blogs, and social media platforms. The creation of new enterprises within the domain of AI. It is imperative for educational institutions to align their policies with the demands and requirements of the business.

Abstract

This study uses stacking analysis to analyze the application of the RADEC model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) to students' creativity in the water cycle material. This research is quantitative experimental research. The research subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students for the 2022/2023 school year, totaling 21 students. The research instrument was a creative attitude scale of 22 statements given before and after learning. The data obtained will be processed using the RASCH model through stacking analysis with the Winstep application. The results showed a change in students' creativity after the RADEC model was applied by 24% in the very good category and 76% in the fairly good category. This study's results prove that applying the RADEC model can increase students' creativity in the water cycle material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in science subjects with homogeneous and heterogeneous substances using the RADEC model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create). Experimental research with this type of quasi-experimental design is a quantitative study with two groups: the experimental and control classes. In the experimental class, there were 23 students in the sample, and in the control class, there were 18 students. Data sources used in this study was 16 multiple-choice questions on scientific literacy in science learning. Data were obtained from scientific literacy tests; then, analyzed using the Winstep application with Rasch modeling to obtain information about changes in scientific literacy skills in science learning.  The research results were processed using the Winstep Rasch model using stacking analysis in the experimental and control classes. The experimental class, stacking analysis results, provide information that it has increased and is grouped based on the increase in logit value into the very good category 87%, 9% good, and 4% sufficient. In the control class, the logit value was very good, 61% and 39% sufficient. Based on research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the radec learning model can improve the scientific literacy skills of grade 5 students in science learning.

Abstract

The study's objective was to assess the content's validity, reliability, and degree of difficulty for third-grade students in one of the East Jakarta elementary schools utilizing the RADEC learning model by analyzing the pre-test and post-test items using the Rasch Racking model of analysis. The results of the Radec learning model showed that students with low and high abilities experienced a change in the concept of student effectiveness for the better. This research is a quantitative study, namely the evaluation of learning outcomes using descriptive quantitative methods with data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test questions. In early 2023, The learning activity was conducted using data from 32 student respondents. The result indicated the validity of the suitability level of the item, with ten questions found to be valid. The difficulty level of the questions, in general, is in the medium category, meaning that they are excellent because they are relatively straightforward. The conclusion is that the analysis of the items using the Rasch model in the learning evaluation activities through the pre-test and post-test is valid with excellent categories of 50% and good 50%. Abstract

The study analyzes the mastery of science concepts in fourth-grade student' style material using the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) learning model. This study used a quantitative experiment, and the research method used was the One Group Pretest and Posttest with a sample of 29 students. Students will be given pretest questions first to find out student mastery of concepts in Style material, then given pre-leaming questions that are done outside of class hours and then create work. After working on pre-learning questions, students work on post-test questions to measure students succes in mastering the IPA concept on Style material. After participating in learning with the RADEC learning model, students experienced an increase to an outstanding category of 44.83, good at 48.28%, and enough of 6.90%. Logit values from the pretest and posttest can be used to quantify this rise. The findings demonstrated that studying with the RADEC model improved students' comprehension of science ideas for both low- and high-ability pupils

Abstract

Utilizing the RADEC learning paradigm (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) to help students comprehend the concept of energy transformation through Rasch model analysis is the goal of this study. From the get-go in 2023, 32 students filled in as the example for this quantitative spellbinding exploration project. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the use of the RADEC Model supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing students' science literacy. The research methodology involves data collection through student questionnaires, which include questions related to their understanding of scientific concepts, contexts, and attitudes after using the RADEC Model. Data analysis employs descriptive statistical techniques to assess students' agreement levels regarding the provided statements. The results indicate that most students exhibit high levels of agreement regarding the effectiveness of the RADEC Model in enhancing their understanding of science concepts, boosting learning motivation, facilitating problem-solving, and developing critical thinking skills. Positive impacts are also observed in improving student engagement in collaborative discussions and increasing their interest in further exploration of science. This research makes a significant contribution by highlighting the importance of integrating AI technology into educational approaches to enhance students' science literacy, with broad implications for improving the quality of science education in the future. In conclusion, the integration of the AI-based RADEC Model is an innovative step to increase the effectiveness of science learning in elementary schools, so prospective elementary school teachers must be able to master this technology to provide personalized learning experiences and improve students' science literacy.
