Abstract

This study aims to see how the design or design of an android-based volleyball passing test instrument. This study uses the Research and Development (Rnd) method using the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model is the Analysis phase, Design phase, Development phase, Implementation phase and Evaluation Phase. This research was carried out on July 17-20 September 2022. This research is only at the design stage, where at this design stage, it only displays concepts that are made systematically with the intention of making the product to be developed. The results of this study are that the product is designed using an appropriate test tool made with a laser and sensor installed in the test area then Arduino Mega as the brain or input and output controller of a circuit then added with NodeMCU can be used as a data sender so that it can be sent to the application that has been made. And downloaded on an Android-based cellphone, which was created with the help of the internet. Based on this design, it is hoped that it can be continued at the stage of developing an Android-based test instrument. This research is used as the basis for developing an android-based volleyball passing test instrument.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Muslims in a multicultural society interpret and experience human and gender equality within the framework of Islamic values. Employing a qualitative conceptual-phenomenological approach, the research draws on in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation to examine how principles of justice and human dignity are translated into social practice. The findings reveal that human equality in Islam is normatively understood as equality of worth, yet its application remains influenced by patriarchal cultural norms, particularly in role distribution and access to public spheres. The study also finds that gender equality is perceived as “role balance” rather than absolute sameness, while Islamic educational institutions and women’s organizations serve as key arenas for the contextual reinterpretation of gender equality. The interaction between Islamic teachings and local cultural values produces a gradual shift toward more egalitarian gender relations. The study concludes that Islamic gender equality is inclusive and dynamic, with strong potential to enhance social justice when supported by progressive educational and religious practices. These findings indicate the need for strengthened multicultural-based policies and educational strategies to promote more gender-just communities.

Abstract

Background: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of various dribbling exercises in improving the dribbling ability of basketball players. Methods: This study used a one group pretest-post-test design. The population in this study were athletes registered at the Mustangs Academy basketball club Palembang City, totalling 30 male athletes aged 12-17 years. The test instrument used is a sports skills test in the form of a basketball dribble skill test, using the zig-zag dribble test adopted from the Johnson Basketball Test with a validity value of 0.79 and a reliability value of 0.80. The analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test statistical test which was preceded by a normality and homogeneity test. Results: The results of this study indicate that variations in dribbling training have a significant effect on improving the dribbling ability of basketball players. Based on data analysis using the paired sample t-test at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05), the p value is 0.023 (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Variations in dribbling exercises play a crucial role in enhancing basketball players' dribbling abilities. Implementing a mix of foundational drills, game-based scenarios, and specialized exercises like two-ball dribbling or blindfolded practices can lead to significant improvements in control, agility, and overall performance on the court. Regular practice combined with structured training programs is essential for developing effective dribbling skills that translate into better gameplay outcomes.

Abstract

The integration of local cultural values in higher education has gained increasing attention as a strategy to strengthen students’ character and cultural identity in the context of globalization. However, empirical evidence on how students perceive and engage with such integration remains limited, particularly in Indonesian higher education. This study aims to examine students’ understanding, participation, and perceived influence of local cultural values on character development. This research employed a quantitative correlational survey design involving 271 undergraduate students from two universities in South Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze students’ perceptions, while Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to examine relationships among variables. The findings indicate that students demonstrate a high level of understanding and positive perceptions of local cultural values integrated into the learning process. Participation in culture-based activities is also relatively high, although some variability exists. Furthermore, students perceive local cultural values as highly relevant to character formation and daily behavior. Correlation analysis reveals significant positive relationships between understanding, participation, and character development, suggesting that greater engagement with cultural values is associated with stronger character outcomes. In conclusion, the integration of local cultural values in higher education contributes positively to both cognitive and behavioral aspects of student development. However, enhancing institutional support and expanding cultural programs are necessary to optimize implementation. These findings highlight the importance of culturally responsive education in fostering well-rounded and culturally grounded graduates.

Abstract

The accelerating pace of digital transformation has heightened the demand for governance innovation in Islamic education institutions, particularly madrasahs striving to balance managerial effectiveness with ethical accountability. Although existing literature has explored digitalization in Islamic education, empirical research that explicitly addresses Artificial Intelligence-Based Islamic Education Management as a form of madrasah governance innovation remains limited. This study aims to investigate how AI-based Islamic education management is implemented and how it contributes to governance innovation in the digital era. A qualitative case study design was employed in selected madrasahs that have initiated digital transformation and adopted AI-supported management systems. Participants included madrasah principals, vice principals, senior teachers, academic coordinators, and information system operators who were directly involved in governance and managerial decision-making. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns related to governance practices and innovation processes. The findings demonstrate that Artificial Intelligence-Based Islamic Education Management enhances governance effectiveness by enabling data-driven decision-making, improving administrative efficiency, and strengthening transparency and accountability in line with Islamic ethical values such as amanah and sh?r?. Nevertheless, challenges related to digital literacy, infrastructure readiness, and ethical concerns regarding data use remain evident. The study implies that while AI-based management offers substantial potential for madrasah governance innovation, its sustainability depends on institutional capacity building, ethical governance frameworks, and supportive policy environments.
