Abstract

Work engagement adalah sikap yang menggambarkan individu secara penuh terlibat dengan pekerjaannya, baik secara emosi maupun fisik dengan menunjukkan perilaku yang penuh semangat, penuh dedikasi, dan penghayatan dalam menunaikan pekerjaan. Salah satu faktor yang dapat berperan dalam meningkatkan work engagement adalah perceived organizational support, yaitu persepsi karyawan mengenai dukungan, kepedulian dan kontribusi organisasi terhadap  kesejahteraan karyawannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji peran perceived organizational support terhadap work engagement karyawan. Subjek penelitian ini sejumlah 300 karyawan di bidang jasa dan produksi yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan SPOS (Survey Perceived Organizational Support) sebanyak 13 aitem dan UWES-17 (Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-17) sebanyak 17 aitem. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana dengan hasil perceived organizational support berperan positif terhadap work engagement karyawan (Nilai F = 152,442; p = <0,005). Adapun, sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh perceived organizational support dapat memprediksi work engagement sebesar 33,8%. Artinya, perceived organizational support terbukti memiliki peran terhadap tinggi rendahnya work engagement karyawan.

Abstract

Berkembangnya teknologi dan berbagai jenis game membuat seseorang tertarik terlibat penuh dan semakin intens hingga memiliki rasa ketergantungan, adiksi bahkan disorder. Segelintir individu melakukan berbagai upaya untuk dapat mengakses sumber kesenangannya selama bermain online game dengan turut serta membeli game item yang melekat pada game-game yang sering dimainkan meski dengan segala keterbatasan ekonomi yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecenderungan gaming disorder terhadap perilaku konsumtif pembelian virtual goods pada pemain online game. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 200 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria usia 14-28 tahun, sering bermain online game, pernah membeli item dalam game secara tunai maupun real trade money. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini adalah Internet Gaming Disorder Scale dan skala perilaku konsumtif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh melalui teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan gaming disorder berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumtif pembelian virtual goods pada pemain online game (p < 0,000, R2 = 0,134). Artinya, individu yang cenderung mengalami internet gaming disorder semakin intens untuk membeli berbagai perangkat game yang digemari, begitu juga sebaliknya.

Abstract

Memasuki usia remaja, kemampuan regulasi emosi sangat dibutuhkan dalam menghadapi berbagai stresor yang muncul. Kemampuan meregulasi emosi tersebut menurut berbagai studi sangat bergantung kepada kondisi keluarga dimana remaja tersebut tumbuh dan berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kemampuan keberfungsian keluarga dalam memprediksi regulasi emosi remaja yang dibesarkan oleh ibu tunggal. Terdapat 116 responden (49 laki-laki dan 67 perempuan) yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala The McMaster Family Assessment Device (FAD) untuk mengukur keberfungsian keluarga dan skala Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) untuk mengukur regulasi emosi remaja. Berdasarkan analisis regresi linear berganda diperoleh hasil bahwa aspek keberfungsian keluarga secara signifikan berperan terhadap regulasi emosi pada remaja yang dibesarkan oleh ibu tunggal (p < 0,05 dan R² = 0.12). Berdasarkan analisis regresi linear berganda pada masing-masing aspek FAD, roles (p = 0,04) dan behavior control (p = 0,02) merupakan aspek yang paling signifikan dibandingkan dengan aspek lainnya pada regulasi remaja yang diasuh oleh ibu tunggal. Artinya adanya peran dan kontrol perilaku dari ibu dapat membantu remaja untuk belajar mengelola emosi mereka dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Remaja panti asuhan menunjukkan berbagai peristiwa yang tidak menyenangkan sehingga berdampak pada kondisi emosional yang dirasakan. Untuk dapat mengatasi kondisi tersebut diperlukan cara meregulasi emosi yang tepat. Salah satu teknik yang dapat digunakan adalah pelatihan antecedent-focused & response-focused. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja panti asuhan yang berjumlah enam orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala regulasi emosi yang diadaptasi oleh Padang. Analisis data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelatihan antecedent-focused & response-focused efektif meningkatkan regulasi emosi remaja di panti asuhan (p=0,007; p<0,05). Artinya dengan memberikan pelatihan ini dapat melatih remaja untuk dapat mengelola emosi dan respons yang dirasakan.

Abstract

Islam once triumphed as a great civilization with two main characteristics: an appreciation of science as well as submission to the value of Tawheed. Unfortunately, at present these characteristics seem not to belong to Islam. Various measurement data show that Muslim-dominated countries such as Indonesia, have low values in higher-order thinking skills such as creative thinking and problem-solving. As a solution effort, this paper attempts to reintroduce the concept of critical thinking in the body of the current Muslim community. The effort begins by showing how important critical thinking is in Islam, the relevance of Islam and critical thinking and the adaptation of current research in the frame of Islamic Psychology. The main implication of this paper is the importance of seeing the significance of all researchers, both Muslim researchers and outside Muslims, in the process of Islamizing the concept.

Abstract

Covid-19 was causing a drastically changing situation, especially for healthcare workers facing increasing workloads and sudden changes in circumstances. These circumstances force health workers to adapt to these stressful changes. Cognitive flexibility is one of the protective factors for health workers to be capable of processing and coping with stress. This study aims to perceive the contribution of cognitive flexibility to stress to healthcare workers. The research hypothesis is that there is a negative role between cognitive flexibility and stress, which means the higher cognitive flexibility a health worker has, the lower the stress level. This study uses quantitative methods. Using random sampling techniques, data retrieval uses the Cognitive Flexibility Scale (CFS) and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 55 health workers working at hospitals in Malang, with the professional criteria of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and midwives. Data analysis uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this study show that cognitive flexibility has a 33.3% effect on reducing stress levels in healthcare workers.   Keywords: cognitive flexibility, covid-19, healthcare workers, mental health, stress

Abstract

The imbalance between the world of work and the personal life of employees can interfere with daily activities so that it can cause problems both in the world of work and in personal life. One of those who are considered capable of being able to better balance between personal and work life is the impulse in the individual to constantly move towards his life goals. Therefore, this study aims to test the role of the Adversity Quotient on the Work-Life Balance. A total of 150 employees actively participated in this study which was obtained using the Convenience Sampling technique. The instruments used are the Work/non-work Interference and Enhancement Scale and the Adversity Response Profile. The results of a simple linear regression test show that the Adversity Quotient is able to predict the Employee's Work-Life Balance. This means that the higher the Adversity Quotient, the higher the Work-Life Balance felt by employees. Keywords: adversity quotient, employee, work-life balance

Abstract

Teenagers are vulnerable to experiencing an identity crisis. This crisis encourages some adolescents to externalize their problems by engaging in deviant behaviors. One factor that drives externalizing problems in adolescents is their perception of their father’s involvement. This study aims to determine the role of adolescents’ perception of their father’s involvement in their externalizing problems. The participants in this study were 498 Muhammadiyah Middle School students in several cities in East Java who were selected based on a simple random sampling technique. Adolescents’ perception of their father’s involvement inversely predicted their externalizing problems. Adolescents with a higher perception of their father’s involvement tended to have lower externalizing problems. Keywords: adolescents, father’s involvement, externalizing problem

Abstract

Children, like adults, can suffer from various mental health issues, but they are rarely recognized. This research aims to create early detection guidelines that can be used by those closest to children, such as parents and teachers in schools. The methods used by the team were narrative review, data analysis, preparation of guidelines, expert judgment, and dissemination. Three experts carried out the preparation of the guide. Furthermore, the dissemination was carried out at SDN Girimoyo 02 Karangploso, Malang Regency. The guideline contains six points, namely 1) definition of mental health, 2) description of the child's mental health issues, 3) description of instruments that can be used for screening or early detection, 4) various considerations that need to be considered when conducting screening or early detection, 5) referral system and flow, and 6) the role of teachers in schools and their urgency. Furthermore, the result of the dissemination activity is the increased understanding of teachers in schools regarding the early detection of student's mental health problems so that teachers can be more sensitive to the conditions of their students.

Abstract

New normal has changed the way people live and work which has an impact on work and family life, especially female workers who are considered to be the most experiencing difficulties in work-life balance which can cause problems with work-life balance. The purpose of this study is to show 1) a description of the views or perceptions of female workers regarding work-life balance, 2) the psychological dynamics of female workers in balancing work-life in WFH and WFO situations, 3) the problems faced by female workers both internally and externally in achieving life balance. work in the new normal era, 4)  adaptation of female workers to WFH and WFO situations and 5) strategies used to achieve  work-life balance in the new normal . This study uses qualitative method with  phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were 5 female workers who were taken by snowball sampling technique using qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman models. The results show that female workers view work-life balance in the new normal as a positive thing. In work-life balance tends to have a negative impact on psychology. Post-pandemic changes (new normal) make female workers have to do multitasking resulting in problems in work-life balance. Adapting to WFH and WFO situations of female workers feel positive in work-life balance, which both internally and externally are very supportive to achieve work-life balance. The results of the above study also explain that female workers have effective strategies in work-life balance. Keywords: Female workers, new normal, work-life balance
