Abstract

Based on the results of observations conducted by conducting a mathematical representation ability test on students of SMP IT Al-Fauzi, researchers obtained data that students' visual mathematical representation abilities were classified as moderate, and mathematical representation abilities on verbal representation indicators and mathematical expression representation of students were classified as low. The rapid development of information technology at this time cannot be separated from its influence on the world of education. Global demands require the world of education to adjust learning to technological developments, with the aim of improving the quality of education, as well as to improve teacher performance in order to be able to compete in the global world, in the current era of technological development, learning media has an important role in conveying messages from the sender to the recipient, in this case the existence of learning media has an important role in conveying material by educators to students, with the existence of learning media will make the learning atmosphere more effective and can overcome boredom in learning in class. One of the learning media is audio-visual media, saying that there is a problem regarding the lack of teacher knowledge regarding the creation and use of learning media. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to equip themselves with insight and skills in designing learning media, because without sufficient provisions, teachers cannot improve the quality of their learning. The steps of this 4-D development model consist of 4 stages: the define stage, design, develop and implement. This research was conducted in the odd semester, the research was conducted at SDIT AL-Fauzi Medan. The Technology Readiness Level (TKT) of this study is a proof of concept related to the Development of Animated Video Learning Media as a supporting force for Students' Mathematical Representation Abilities which produces RPP and measuring tools to measure students' representation abilities and learning media so that they can influence learning outcomes and can be utilized in the learning and teaching process in the world of education.

Abstract

Biology is one of the scientific fields that was born and developed through the steps of observation, problem formulation, making hypotheses based on experiments, drawing conclusions, and discovering concepts and theories. Biology learning will not be separated from laboratory or practical activities. Understanding the concept plays a very pivotal role in learning activities and has become the basis for achieving the learning outcomes. One of the instructional strategies is called PPD (Practice, Presentation and Discussion). This study aimed to determine the effect of the PPD strategies in enhancing students' conceptual understanding. This study applied a pre-experimental research method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects were twelfth grade high school students. These subjects were randomly selected with the number of 35 students. The results showed that the application of the PPD strategies has proven to be influential in enhancing students’ mastery of photosynthesis concepts. The increase in concept mastery could be viewed from the level change of students' comprehension as the mean score of 43.18, where the students’ initial knowledge (pretest) was 38.12, significantly increasing after the implementation of the PPD strategies (posttest) as of 81.30. Based on the standard of minimal accomplishment criteria, the effectiveness of the PPD strategies on students’ concept mastery was between 71-85 which was stated in the high category.

Abstract

Pengetahuan yang rendah tentang kontrasepsi menyebabkan PUStakut menggunakan alat kontrasepsi atau menunjukkan sikap yang negatif terhadap kontrasepsi. Salah satunya adalah tentang MAL.Alat kontrasepsi alami Metode Amenorhea Laktasi (MAL) sangat berpengaruh dengan minat   ibu nifas untuk menyusui bayinya selama 6 bulan tanpa makanan tambahan apapun, serta diberikan secara berkala pada bayinya. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan sumber informasi dengan keputusan ibu menyusui memilih kontrasepsi MAL di Desa Aek Nabara Kabupaten Padang Lawas.Penelitian ini menggunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi berjumlah 38 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total population sehingga sampel dalam penilitian ini sebanyak 38 orang. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p = 0,008 (< 0,05).dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan sumber informasi dengan keputusan ibu menyusui memilih kontrasepsi MAL di Desa Aek Nabara Kabupaten Padang Lawas tahun  2018. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber informasi bagi ibu menyusui yang menggunakan MAL dan menyadari betapa pentingnya menggunakan alat kontrasepsi dan keputusan memilih metode amenorhea lsktasi (MAL), supaya minat ibu-ibu lain  menggunakan metode amenorhea laktasi (MAL) aksemakin meningkat. Low knowledge about contraception makes childbearing age couples afraid to use contraception or show a negative attitude toward contraception. One of them is about Lactation Amenorrhea Method (LAM). Natural contraceptives regarding the Lactation Amenorrhea Method is very influential with the interest of the postpartum to breastfeed her baby for 6 months without any additional food, and is given regularly to her baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of information sources with breastfeeding mothers decision to choose MAL contraceptive in Aek Nabara Village, Padang Lawas Regency. This research uses analytical survey with Cross Sectional approach. The population is 38 people, with sampling technique using total population so that the sample in this research is 38 people. Statistic test results obtained p value = 0.008 (<0.05). of this study indicates that there is a correlation between information sources with the decision of breastfeeding mother to choose MAL contraception in Aek Nabara Village Padang Lawas Regency 2018 Expected to be a source of information for breastfeeding mother using MAL how important to use contraception and decision to choose amenorhea method (MAL) as one of the contraceptives, so that the mother's interest to use lactation amenorrhea method (MAL) will increase.
