Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peran, hambatan, dan upaya pemerintah desa dalam pembinaan Karang Taruna di Desa Bangko Pintas Kabupaten Tebo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jumlah sampel yaitu 6 (enam) orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Peran Kepala Desa Bangko Pintas dalam Pembinaan Karang Taruna sudah berjalan dengan baik tetapi ada beberapa hal yang kurang optimal terkait dengan indikator pembinaan umum dan indikator memfasilitasi kegiatan karang taruna. Hambatan peran Kepala Desa Bangko Pintas dalam Pembinaan Karang Taruna yaitu karakteristik Pemuda/i Desa Bangko Pintas dan keterbatasan Dana Anggaran yang dimiliki. Upaya mengatasi hambatan peran Kepala Desa Bangko Pintas dalam Pembinaan Karang Taruna yaitu menyediakan tempat konsultasi Anggota Karang Taruna dan membangun dan mengembangkan fasilitas?Karang Taruna di Desa Bangko Pintas dengan bantuan swadaya masyarakat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, kendala, dan upaya dalam Olimpiade Sains Nasional Sekolah Dasar (OSN-SD) di Kabupaten Bungo. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriktif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Olimpiade? Sains Nasional Sekolah Dasar (OSN-SD) berdampak positif pada peningkatan pembelajaran dan mutu pendidikan sehingga siswa memiliki daya juang yang kompetitif dan inovatif.

Abstract

The problem that occured in Dwi Karya Bakti Hamlet was that PKK activities and programs were not active in the village. The challenge undertaken by the service team was to reactivate the activities and programs that had been prepared by the PKK Dusun Dwi Karya Bakti. For this reason, the social service team approached the head of the committee and looked for problems and solutions to these problems. From these observations, the service team received information that the community, especially the member of PKK needed a facilitator or mentor to develop the PKK so that the PKK could be active again. The target of this activity focused on empowering the members of PKK in Dwi Karya Bakti. The aimed of carrying out this community service activity was to increase household income, entrepreneurial for the members of PKK, and improved the social life of the residents of Dwi Karyabakti. The methods used in this activity were educational methods and mentoring methods. Educational methods include training and mentoring methods included direct practice in making Dendeng Daun Pepaya. The implementation of the social service activities that have been carried out has a positive impact on the community, namely the members of PKK who were the targets of these service activities. The members of PKK Dwi Karya Bakti have started to have motivation to improve their abilities and creativity in developing UMKM.

Abstract

Decentralization and school-based management (SBM) have been widely adopted in Indonesia to enhance the quality and efficiency of education. This study investigates the implementation of SBM in public and private schools in Jambi Province, Indonesia, and explores its effects on school autonomy, teacher participation in decision-making, and student achievement. A mixed-methods approach was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 300 teachers and 600 students in 15 public and 15 private schools in Jambi Province using questionnaires and achievement tests. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 30 school principals and 30 school committee members. Private schools demonstrated significantly higher levels of school autonomy and teacher participation in decision-making compared to public schools. However, no significant difference was found in student achievement between the two types of schools. Qualitative data provided insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with SBM implementation in both public and private schools. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of contextual factors in shaping the implementation and outcomes of SBM. While private schools appear to have embraced SBM more effectively in terms of autonomy and participation, the impact on student achievement requires further investigation. The findings have implications for policymakers and school leaders seeking to enhance the effectiveness of SBM in Indonesia.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to the Indonesian economy, especially in rural areas like Dharmasraya. This community service project aimed to empower MSMEs by building their entrepreneurial capacity through publicly funded training programs. Using a participatory action research approach, a needs assessment was conducted with 100 MSME owners in Dharmasraya to identify challenges and training needs. Based on the findings, workshops and mentoring sessions were designed and delivered, focusing on financial literacy, marketing strategies, digital literacy, and business plan development. The training program significantly improved participants' understanding of key business concepts, including financial management, marketing, and digital tools. Participants also showed increased confidence in managing and growing their businesses. The program fostered a sense of community and peer learning among MSME owners. In conclusion, publicly funded training programs are crucial for building entrepreneurial capacity and empowering MSMEs in Dharmasraya. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of participatory approaches in addressing community needs and fostering sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris ditingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) sama dengan konsep pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dalam bidang apapun. Yang membedakan yaitu karakteristik dari siswa nya sehingga diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang menarik, interaktif, dan menyenangkan sehingga tercipta suasana kelas yang aktif dan kondusif. Berdasarkan Undang-Undang No. 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran adalah proses interaksi peserta didik dengan pendidik dan sumber belajar pada suatu lingkungan belajar. Maka untuk itu diperlukan metode belajar yang menarik dari seorang guru guna menciptakan komunikasi antara siswa dan guru yang baik. Metode pengabdian ini berupa a) Sosialisai yang bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar, b) proses pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan lagu untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata Bahasa Inggris. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan beberapa instrumen seperti obsevasi, proses belajar mengajar, penugasan, dan pelaksanaan tes, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Target sasaran yaitu siswa kelas XI jurusan Administrasi. Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan judul Pemanfaatan Media Lagu Bahasa Inggris dalam Peningkatan Penguasaan Vocabulary Siswa di SMK N 3 Bungo berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil kemampuan siswa dalam penugasan kelompok yang mana motivasi belajar sudah meningkat dan proses belajar pun semakin baik ditunjukkan dengan nilai penugasan yang mengalami kemajuan. Keaktifan siswa juga meningkat, hal ini ditumjukkan dengan partisipasi siswa dalam belajar yang tidak lagi merasa ketakutan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Mereka juga mampu menyanyikan lagu Bahasa Inggris dengan pelafalan yang baik serta menguasai kosakata yang ada dalam lirik lagu tersebut sehingga suasana kelas lebih hidup.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how teachers implement classroom management principles in the teaching and learning process at SMKN 10 Bungo and why teachers implement these principles in their students' teaching and learning processes. practice. This type of research is qualitative research, where the data source is the result of classroom observations and interviews. The subjects of this research were three English teachers in grades ten, eleven and twelve. Collected data are grouped according to the research objective, then described and analyzed to get actual data. Research results show that not all English teachers at SMKN 10 Bungo fully apply the principles of classroom management in the teaching and learning process at 3 stages before the activity, during the activity and after the activity. Almost all classroom management principles are implemented during operation. Before and after the activity, teachers only followed three principles of classroom management: enthusiasm, enthusiasm, emphasizing positive things and promoting self-discipline. Research results also find out the reasons why teachers apply classroom management principles, specifically to increase student motivation and improve learning outcomes. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that classroom management principles have not been fully implemented by English teachers at SMKN 10 Bungo. Therefore, English teachers need to improve their knowledge of classroom management principles in teaching English. In the hope, this research can make a useful contribution to English teachers in education.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa dalam mengembangkan life skills dengan pendampingan literasi membaca melalui self motivation. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah atau diskusi, sesi tanya jawab, dan pendampingan yang terdiri dari tahap awal, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi. Kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa yang sudah mulai mengetahui, mengerti dan menguasai dengan baik tentang sumber-sumber informasi yang tepat untuk memperoleh atau menunjang tugas atau pembelajaran, serta siswa sudah mulai memiliki motivasi dalam membaca dan menyadari akan pentingnya literasi membaca.

Abstract

Digital Project-Based Learning (DPBL) represents an innovative pedagogical approach that integrates digital technologies within project-based learning to enhance English language education in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: inclusive and equitable quality education. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to investigate the implementation of DPBL in English language teaching and its effectiveness in fostering essential 21st-century competencies such as communication, digital literacy, critical thinking, and global citizenship. Data were collected from peer-reviewed publications between 2019 and 2024 using the Publish or Perish software and databases including Scopus and Google Scholar. The review highlights that DPBL not only improves English language proficiency but also enhances student motivation, engagement, and awareness of real-world challenges aligned with sustainability values. The findings suggest that DPBL is a promising instructional strategy that bridges language acquisition with global education goals, making it a valuable contribution to both academic and sustainable development agendas.
