Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the simultaneous and partial influence of employee engagement and competence on worker performance in construction companies. The population of this study was construction workers in companies affiliated with the Jambi Association of Companies. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires using a cross-sectional study approach with a minimum sample size of 102 construction worker respondents. The results showed that simultaneously and partially there was a positive and significant influence between employee engagement and competence on worker performance in construction companies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the picture of competence, information systems, service quality, and public satisfaction at the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports of West Tanjung Jabung Regency, as well as to analyze the influence of apparatus competence and information systems through service quality on public satisfaction. This study was conducted at the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. With a population of 1,121 people in 2025, while the sample size in this study uses Slovin's theory with a margin of error of 10% so that 92 people are obtained. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and uses Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis. The results of the study indicate that competence and information systems have an influence on public satisfaction, both directly and indirectly through service quality at the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. This finding indicates that the positive influence of competence and information systems on public satisfaction does not occur directly, but is carried out (mediated) through improving service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of communication and work environment on public service quality and the satisfaction of social assistance recipients, both directly and through public service quality as a mediating variable at the Tungkal Ilir District Office. The research objects include communication, work environment, public service quality, and the satisfaction of social assistance recipients, while the research subjects are social assistance recipients in Tungkal Ilir District. The study uses a quantitative approach with primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through surveys using Likert scale-based questionnaires designed according to the research variable indicators, while secondary data were obtained from journals, theses, books, and official documents from the Tungkal Ilir District Office. The analysis uses an interval scale to describe the condition of the variables and examine the influence among variables, providing a comprehensive overview of the role of communication and work environment in improving public service quality and the satisfaction of social assistance recipients. The sample was determined using a specific sampling technique according to the research criteria, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results at the Tungkal Ilir District Office, Tanjung Jabung Barat, show that communication, work environment, public service quality, and social assistance recipient satisfaction fall into the categories of very good to very satisfied. Communication has a positive and significant effect on public service quality and recipient satisfaction, both directly and through public service quality, while the work environment only has a significant effect on recipient satisfaction through public service quality. These results emphasize that improving communication and work environment supports better public service quality, thereby increasing the satisfaction of social assistance recipients.

Abstract

This study has several objectives, including analyzing and describing employee competency, job satisfaction, discipline, and performance at Bank Jambi Muara Sabak Branch Office. It also aims to determine and analyze the influence of competency and job satisfaction on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through work discipline. This research was conducted at the Muara Sabak Branch of Bank Jambi. The population consisted of 54 employees, using a census technique. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method and Partial Least Squares (PLS) data analysis. This study concludes that Bank Jambi Muara Sabak Branch Office has employees with high competence, high levels of job satisfaction, high work discipline, and high employee performance. Furthermore, competence and job satisfaction through work discipline have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at Bank Jambi Muara Sabak Branch Office. These findings indicate that employee job satisfaction plays a role in shaping better levels of work discipline, which in turn has a positive impact on employee performance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran fasilitas, disiplin, motivasi, dan kinerja karyawan di IPI-LEPPINDO; dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fasilitas dan disiplin langsung dan tidak langsung secara simultan dan parsial terhadap motivasi dan kinerja karyawan; serta untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian tersebut maka penelitian ini didukung oleh kajian-kajian teori yang berhubungan dengan variabel penelitian yaitu fasilitas, disiplin, motivasi, serta kinerja. Selain itu penulis juga mencari penelitian terdahulu yang relevan berupa artikel/jurnal untuk mendukung penelitian ini.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan IPI-LEPPINDO yang berjumlah 54 orang karyawan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni melalui analisis jalur yang dilanjutkan dengan pengujian hipotesis melalui uji F (Simultan) dan uji t (Parsial). Dari pengujian analisis jalur yang dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwasanya fasilitas dan disiplin mempunyai pengaruh terhadap motivasi dan kinerja karyawan langsung maupun tidak langsung secara simultan dan parsial. Hal ini menjelaskan semakin baik fasilitas disediakan oleh manajemen untuk karyawan, serta semakin tingginya tingkat disiplin karyawan saat menyelesaikan pekerjaan maka hal ini juga akan memotivasi karyawan dalam meningkatkan kinerjanya pada organisasi.

Abstract

Public satisfaction is a key indicator of successful public service delivery. Achieving this satisfaction is inseparable from the availability of work facilities and the effectiveness of staff, which can drive optimal service quality. This study aims to analyze the influence of work facilities and work effectiveness on public satisfaction through service quality at the Tungkal Ilir District Office, West Tanjung Jabung Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consisted of 396 service recipients, with a sample size of 123 respondents determined using the Slovin formula with a 7.5% margin of error. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with a five-level Likert scale. Data analysis used path analysis based on Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results showed that work facilities and work effectiveness had a positive and significant effect on service quality. Furthermore, service quality had a positive and significant effect on public satisfaction. The results of the mediation test indicated that service quality was able to mediate the influence of work facilities and work effectiveness on public satisfaction. These findings confirm that improvements in work facilities and the effectiveness of civil servants need to be continuously optimized to improve service quality and public satisfaction.

Abstract

Work–life balance has become an important concern in higher education institutions due to increasing job demands and role complexity experienced by academic and administrative staff. This study investigates the effect of work–life balance on job satisfaction and employee performance in higher education institutions. A quantitative research design was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from employees working in higher education institutions through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results demonstrate that work–life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction significantly influences employee performance. The analysis also reveals that work–life balance directly affects employee performance and indirectly influences performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable. These findings indicate that job satisfaction strengthens the relationship between work–life balance and employee performance. This study provides empirical evidence that supports the role of work–life balance as a strategic human resource management practice in higher education institutions. The findings suggest that organizational policies promoting balanced work arrangements and employee well-being can enhance job satisfaction and improve employee performance. Therefore, higher education managers are encouraged to integrate work–life balance initiatives into their human resource management strategies to achieve sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of farmers' perceptions and facilities on service quality, as well as their impact on the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution in the area served by the Extension Implementation Center (BP3) of Geragai District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency. The study focuses on farmers' perceptions and facilities regarding service quality and their impact on the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Geragai District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, utilizing a sample of 120 farmers drawn from a total population of 1,097. The research employs descriptive, verificative, and quantitative statistical methods; questionnaire responses were tabulated to serve as the basis for descriptive statistics and quantitative analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) via the Smart PLS 4.9 software tool. An overview of the assessments regarding farmers' perceptions, facilities, service quality, and the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution in Geragai District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, indicates that the farmers' perception variable achieved a total score of 5,311 (categorized as "good"). The facility variable showed a total score of 4,016 ("good"), while the service quality variable recorded a total score of 7,552 ("good"). Finally, the variable representing the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution showed a total score of 7,320 ("good"). Analysis using Smart PLS 4.9 reveals that farmers' perceptions have a significant influence on service quality and on the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution. Facilities have a positive and significant influence on service quality and on the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution. Furthermore, farmers' perceptions significantly influence distribution effectiveness through service quality, and facilities significantly influence the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution through service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of coaching and mentoring on work motivation and their impact on employee performance. The study was conducted at the Bank Jambi Head Office using a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was 168 employees, while the sample size of 119 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula and probability sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that coaching had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Mentoring also had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, coaching and mentoring were proven to have a positive effect on employee performance. Work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and was able to mediate the relationship between coaching and mentoring and employee performance. These findings indicate that the effective implementation of coaching and mentoring can increase work motivation, thereby impacting employee performance.

Abstract

Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work facilities on employee performance through job satisfaction at Danau Teluk District Office, Jambi City. This study employs theories of compensation, work facilities, job satisfaction, and employee performance. A quantitative research method with a survey approach was used involving 58 employees as respondents. Data were analyzed using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that compensation, work facilities, job satisfaction, and employee performance are all categorized as good. Compensation and work facilities have a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between compensation, work facilities, and employee performance. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that improving compensation and providing adequate work facilities can enhance job satisfaction and employee performance at Danau Teluk District Office, Jambi City. Job satisfaction has been proven to play an intervening role in improving employee performance.
