Abstract

This research examines the strategic role of City Marketing, Event Tourism, and Social Media Marketing in shaping the destination image of Surabaya as an emerging MICE city. The main issue addressed in this research is the relatively weak influence of city marketing compared to the direct experiential factors perceived by visitors, raising questions about the effectiveness of current branding strategies in enhancing Surabaya’s competitiveness in the MICE sector. The objective of the study is to analyze the influence of these three variables on destination image and to provide strategic recommendations for strengthening Surabaya’s position as a MICE destination with cultural heritage appeal. The research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS, based on responses from 255 participants, tested through 17 indicators across 15 dimensions. The results indicate that City Marketing has a positive but less significant effect, suggesting the need for more visitor-oriented strategies, while Event Tourism and Social Media Marketing show strong positive and significant influences on destination image. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing livability, promoting unique heritage-based experiences, and leveraging digital engagement to build a stronger and more competitive destination image for Surabaya in the national and international MICE market. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi sumber daya manusia (SDM), inovasi, dan kreativitas karyawan terhadap kinerja Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) X di Pasuruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif untuk menguji hubungan antarvariabel secara empiris. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 72 karyawan UMKM X, dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel melalui teknik total sampling agar hasil analisis lebih representatif dan akurat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur, kemudian dianalisis dengan regresi linear berganda menggunakan SPSS versi 24. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi SDM, inovasi, dan kreativitas karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap kinerja UMKM. Kompetensi SDM yang mencakup pengetahuan kerja, keterampilan teknis, sikap profesional, serta kemampuan beradaptasi terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas operasional secara konsisten. Inovasi pada aspek produk, proses, pelayanan, dan pemasaran juga memperkuat daya saing usaha secara keseluruhan. Selain itu, kreativitas karyawan dalam menghasilkan ide baru, menciptakan nilai tambah, serta meningkatkan kolaborasi tim berkontribusi penting terhadap peningkatan kinerja UMKM. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,673 menunjukkan bahwa 67,3% kinerja UMKM dipengaruhi oleh ketiga variabel tersebut. Temuan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi SDM, inovasi berkelanjutan, dan kreativitas karyawan sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM secara konsisten dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Peningkatan partisipasi ekonomi perempuan merupakan prioritas dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Nasional (RPJPN) 2025–2045. Salah satu pendekatan strategisnya adalah pemberdayaan melalui kewirausahaan berbasis potensi lokal. Program “Kreatif & Mandiri: Meningkatkan Penghasilan Perempuan Berdaya Lewat Usaha Crispy Banana Katz” dirancang sebagai bentuk sinergi antara akademisi STIE Mahardhika Surabaya dan Dinas Perpustakaan Kota Mojokerto dalam mendukung Transformasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Inklusi Sosial (TPBIS). Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah Partisipatory Action Research (PAR), yang meliputi langkah-langkah identifikasi masalah, analisis mendalam, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan praktik langsung, yang diikuti oleh 35 peserta perempuan dari berbagai latar belakang, mulai ibu rumah tangga, pustakawan, hingga mahasiswi. Tujuan pelatihan untuk mengembangkan usaha berbasis bahan lokal, pisang, menjadi produk kekinian yang bernilai jual tinggi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi wirausaha bagi peserta sehingga membentuk komunitas wirausaha perempuan yang saling mendukung dan mendorong kemandirian ekonomi di tingkat rumah tangga. Rekomendasi tindak lanjut meliputi pendampingan berkelanjutan, akses pasar, jejaring wirausaha, replikasi program, serta pemantauan rutin untuk pengembangan usaha dan pemberdayaan perempuan.

Abstract

Abstrak Rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan berpotensi menghambat pertumbuhan usaha baru, yang dapat mengakibatkan kesalahan dalam pengambilan keputusan finansial, seperti dalam perhitungan Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP). Penerapan HPP metode cost plus pricing dapat membantu pelaku usaha menentukan harga jual yang lebih stabil dan mendorong optimalisasi keuntungan. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman literasi keuangan pelaku usaha baru terhadap perhitungan HPP melalui pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Mojokerto. Dengan metode Partisipatory Action Research (PAR), pelatihan ini melibatkan 20 peserta secara aktif dalam simulasi perhitungan HPP metode cost plus pricing pada produk inovatif Mushroom Mac and Cheese Schotel. Metode PAR yang digunakan meliputi tahap identifikasi masalah, telaah mendalam, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta, terlihat dari perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test, di mana peserta menjadi lebih mampu menghitung dan menerapkan HPP secara akurat, yang diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan keuntungan usaha. Pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam hal peningkatan literasi keuangan, serta mendorong pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan sebagai sumber informasi dan dukungan usaha. Kata kunci: pengabdian; pelatihan; literasi keuangan; harga pokok produksi; cost plus pricing Abstract The low levels of financial literacy can hinder the growth of new businesses, potentially leading to errors in financial decision-making, such as in the calculation of Cost of Goods Sold. Implementing the cost-plus pricing method for Cost of Goods Sold can help business owners set more stable selling prices and optimize profits. This study, designed as part of a community service activity, aims to improve new entrepreneurs’ understanding of financial literacy, specifically in Cost of Goods Sold, through training conducted by the Mojokerto City Library and Archives Office. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this training actively involved 20 participants in a cost-plus pricing simulation for calculating HPP on the innovative product Mushroom Mac and Cheese Schotel. The PAR method applied included the stages of problem identification, in-depth review, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The training results showed a significant increase in participants' comprehension, as seen in the comparison of pre-test and post-test results, with participants becoming more capable of accurately calculating and applying Cost of Goods Sold, which is expected to optimize their business profits. This training positively impacted financial literacy improvement and encouraged the use of library services as a source of information and business support. Keywords: community service; training; financial literacy; cost of goods sold; cost plus pricing

Abstract

The batik creative industry is important and vital to Indonesia's cultural economy, but it faces challenges from digital competition and changing consumer behavior. This study examines how product design, service quality, and price affect customer satisfaction when purchasing bold batik online. It builds on earlier research that studied these factors one at a time. The study used a quantitative approach to collect data from 300 people who purchased batik through digital platforms, and employed the SEM-PLS method for analysis. The results show that all three factors—product design, service quality, and price—positively and significantly influence customer satisfaction. Among them, product design has the biggest and most significant impact, showing how important design innovation is for the most significant impact, underscoring the importance of design innovation in keeping the batik industry connected to cultural identity. Digital service quality and fair pricing also help shape the customer experience and satisfaction. The study suggests that small and medium businesses should focus on improving design through technology, boosting digital service quality, and adopting pricing strategies that add value. From a policy standpoint, there is a need for digital training, authentic product certification, and financial support to help these businesses remain competitive and sustainable in the long run.

Abstract

The promiscuity of juvenile delinquents is alarmingly increasing. This paper examines the role of education in preventing promiscuity in teenagers. Education plays a crucial role in character building, which guides teenagers to make right choices and avoid wrong ones. The development of character is instrumental in determining whether adolescents can effectively navigate diverse situations, particularly in avoiding promiscuity. Alongside promoting gender-sensitive education, providing equal opportunities for women can lead to improved protection, services, and welfare for vulnerable women who are the most disadvantaged in cases of adolescent promiscuity.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and information in the current era of globalization is causing a significant shift in human behavior, particularly in the area of shopping. With the growing presence of the internet, people now prefer to make online transactions due to its practicality and time-saving benefits. In this study, the aim is to examine the influence of store image, online customer reviews, and promotions on purchasing decisions in the Shopee marketplace in Surabaya. A quantitative approach was employed, using questionnaires to gather data. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, where a specific number of respondents were randomly selected based on certain criteria. A total of 96 respondents were included in the sample. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and processed using SPSS 21 software. After testing the proposed hypotheses, the results of the study indicate that the variables of store image (X1), online customer reviews (X2), and promotions (X3) have a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions (Y), both individually and collectively.

Abstract

In the midst of intense industry competition, Yanata AC Surabaya recognizes the critical importance of enhancing employee performance for achieving success. This research investigates how Management Performance Strategy (MSK) contributes to enhancing the performance of Yanata AC Surabaya's employees. A qualitative approach with qualitative data analysis was employed to uncover the implemented strategies. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and pertinent documents. The findings indicate that MSK plays a pivotal role in improving employee performance, with the application of discipline and motivational strategies identified as key factors. Specifically, training, enforcement of time management policies, and provision of incentives (both rewards and penalties) are among the strategies implemented. The effectiveness of these approaches is evaluated based on their adherence to MSK principles, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. This study demonstrates that appropriate MSK strategies, such as training, time management enforcement, and incentives, can effectively and efficiently enhance employee performance.

Abstract

Leadership style and job satisfaction levels play crucial roles in determining employee performance across various organizations. PT Mitra Konsindo Abadi, a growing company in the industrial sector, is also influenced by these factors. However, limited research has explored the relationship between autocratic leadership style, job satisfaction, and employee performance within this company. This study employed a qualitative approach, collecting data through surveys distributed to employees in various departments of PT Mitra Konsindo Abadi. The observed variables included autocratic leadership style, job satisfaction levels, and employee performance. The primary objective of this study was to analyze the impact of autocratic leadership style and job satisfaction levels on employee performance at PT Mitra Konsindo Abadi. Additionally, this study aimed to provide insights for company management to enhance leadership strategies and job satisfaction, thereby improving organizational performance. The results of the analysis indicate that an autocratic leadership style can increase employee job satisfaction, which in turn enhances employee performance. These findings underscore the significance of the leader's role in fostering a work environment that motivates job satisfaction and ultimately contributes to overall organizational performance.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of foreign investment, domestic investment, COVID-19, and interest rates on economic growth across 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2010 to 2023, a period encompassing both pre- and post-pandemic phases. The urgency of this research lies in understanding how these factors have influenced regional economic performance, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted global and local economies. This study uses a Panel data regression model, fixed-effects, and robust standard errors. The result analysis reveals that the regression model explains that 44.33% of the variation in economic growth can be attributed to domestic and foreign investments; and interest rates. The probability test results show that foreign investment significantly affects economic growth more than domestic investment. Interest rates did not significantly impact economic growth during the COVID-19 period, as indicated by the statistical analysis. It implies that despite its potential role in stabilizing the economy, interest rate policies may have been less effective in fostering growth during the pandemic. These findings highlight the critical role of foreign investment and pandemic-related factors in shaping economic growth dynamics in Indonesia provinces.
