Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi peran strategis bahasa Indonesia dalam konteks perubahan teknologi dan transformasi pendidikan di kampus Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan As Syifa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur ilmiah, jurnal nasional dan internasional, serta dokumen kebijakan kebahasaan yang relevan. Analisis isi (content analysis) dilakukan untuk menelaah keterkaitan antara teori fungsionalisme sosiolinguistik, literasi digital, identitas budaya, dan pelestarian bahasa dalam konteks digitalisasi kampus. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Bahasa Indonesia berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi digital yang efektif dalam forum akademik daring seperti Zoom, Google Classroom, dan media sosial ilmiah. Bahasa Indonesia berperan krusial sebagai media komunikasi, simbol identitas nasional, serta fondasi pembentukan karakter di era digitalisasi kampus. Digitalisasi tidak hanya memperluas ranah penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia dalam interaksi akademik, ilmiah, maupun sosial, tetapi juga menuntut adaptasi terhadap media dan teknologi baru, termasuk penyesuaian gaya bahasa yang sesuai dengan konteks digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan dan pembinaan literasi Bahasa Indonesia berbasis digital agar keaslian dan fungsinya tetap terjaga. Bahasa Indonesia memiliki peran krusial dalam mendukung transformasi digital di perguruan tinggi sebagai media komunikasi ilmiah, perekat identitas nasional, dan pembentuk karakter akademik. Kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan, pemerintah, dan masyarakat sangat diperlukan untuk memperkuat posisi Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa ilmu pengetahuan modern yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi, namun tetap berakar pada nilai-nilai kebangsaan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Pengembangan Bahan Ajar sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran karna dapat mendorong siswa untuk menerima dan memahami materi melalui penerapan bahan ajar tematik yang didasarkan pada pembelajaran discovery learning. Ketika guru memberikan menjelaskan tentang pembelajaran tematik, mereka tidak hanya membahas ide-ide yang dihafal atau ditulis, tetapi juga bagaimana mereka berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan lingkungan mereka. Namun, kenyataannya masih ada ketidaksesuaian yang menyebabkan siswa kurang memperhatikan pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Ini terlihat dalam berbagai cara seperti tidak mengajukan pertanyaan, tidak memberikan saran, dan menolak untuk menyuarakan pendapat mereka. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan peran bahan ajar yang dimainkan oleh guru dan siswa ketika mengembangkan bahan ajar tematik berbasis discovery learning.

Abstract

Purpose – this study differs from previous research in that it focuses on developing the DCALL model in writing learning. The main target is students' writing skills in any text, supported by an application integrated with writing learning materials.Methodology – This research was conducted by developing a research product using the Plomp development model, which consists of preliminary research, prototype design, and evaluation. Each stage of this model is filled with activities that clearly describe the research process. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, adjusted to the needs during the product trial, which consisted of high schools in Medan City, North Sumatra. The research instruments used consisted of questionnaires, observation sheets, and tests.Findings – The results of this study indicate that the Digital Content Assisted Language Learning (DCALL) model was categorized as valid, practical, and effective in teaching writing. Students find it easier and more practical to write any text after learning it with the aid of the technology used. The effectiveness of the DCALL model after being tested in the experimental class obtained a percentage of objectivity of 86.3%, audience 85.15%, and logic 83.9%. This indicates that the DCALL model can be applied according to the needs and characteristics of students and teachers. From a learning perspective, students are more interested in learning through applications in writing. Students are better able to formulate ideas and concepts within a systematic writing framework.Contribution – The development of the DCALL model is expected to facilitate student writing instruction. This learning model encourages students to be more active and creative in their writing. The implications of the DCALL model, after being tested in an experimental class, were that it was more dominant in expressing students' ideas and thoughts in writing. The design of the DCALL model guides students through writing steps that align with the characteristics of the text to be written.

Abstract

This study examines semantic errors in the use of the Indonesian word acuh, which is frequently misinterpreted as “not to care.” The focus of the research is on captions posted by the Instagram account Tribun Medan Daily. The objective of the study is to describe the forms of these semantic inaccuracies and to analyze public perceptions of the word’s meaning. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from Instagram captions and a closed-ended questionnaire administered to students of Universitas Prima Indonesia. Data analysis followed the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that 61.5% of respondents interpreted the word acuh as “not to care,” which contradicts its official definition in the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI).The discrepancy in lexical meaning, as observed in the word acuh, along with morphophonemic inaccuracies such as the use of nonstandard forms, does not merely reflect individual linguistic errors; rather, it constitutes a systemic phenomenon that can be explained through multiple linguistic frameworks, including structural, generative, functional, and cognitive perspectives.
